Wunderschöner Blick auf den Ätna. Man kann frisches Bergwasser kostenlos zapfen. Die Nacht war total ruhig, obwohl oberhalb eine Hauptstraße verläuft.

Wonderful spot, quiet and with a magnificent view. I recommend it to anyone who understands that it is normal for there to be some animal poop, as it is a place surrounded by nature. Always better than the garbage that the human being leaves. There is plenty of space, there are picnic tables and drinking fountains. It is also easy to reach with the camper. The perfect place!

La zone est désormais à l'abandon. Les trois abris pour tables à picnic sont miséreux et dessous tout à disparu. Reste que les dalles de béton. Par contre, légèrement plus bas, 20m, les 2 robinets à vis distribuent une eau fraîche, avec une bonne pression. Les autochtones sont nombreux. Donc venez pour l'eau, pour la vue.

Aucun problème d’aboiements. Vue sur l’Etna et même quelques flammes en pleine nuit, ça fait froid dans le dos!

L’endroit n’a rien d’exceptionnel hormis la très belle vue sur l’Etna. Effectivement on entend les chiens aboyer très souvent mais on arrive à dormir quand même.

Schöner Platz für eine Nacht. Herrliches Quellwasser. Nachts ruhig, morgens kommen die Sizilianer um Wasser zu holen. keine Entsorgung möglich. offensichtlich nicht mehr genutzter Picknickplatz. WC Haus abgeschlossen. Etwas verwildert.

Entering this area is a bit tricky, which makes me believe that this spot is NOT created to be a campervan- parking area. Because of this, I felt a bit uncomfortable towards all people passing by to collect water, so I decided to continue my trip after only one night. The night was quiet, no barking dogs and only early morning starting at 06h00 one does hear the first cars passing on the mainroad. Nice hiking possibilities on the slopes of the Etna, beautiful view and panorama. No trash- bins, fresh water.

Très bel endroit, calme. Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit et fait une superbe balade dans les chemins aux pierres volcaniques. Je recommande de goûter l'eau de la source en provenance de l'Etna, vous ne pouvez pas la louper, les siciliens viennent faire le plein toute la journée.

5 stars for the location, one star for the dogs in the area barking non stop. Left because of the dogs, but otherwise a really beautiful place to spend the night. Also: make sure you enter the place coming from the south. If you come from the north, GPS will send you via a really bumpy and small road trough the village. Bigger campervans cannot acces via there.

Erg mooie plek met prachtig uitzicht op de Etna! Goed te bereiken ook met een camper van 6,7 meter.

Super endroit pour une halte diurne puis nocturne avec fontaine d'eau de l'Etna où beaucoup de Siciliens viennent faire le plein par jerrycans entiers. Vue splendide sur l'Etna par temps dégagé.

Great spot, stunning views of Etna, walks into the national park and water. There were toilets as well but closed while we were there.

Lovely place, very pleasant. Water very popular with locals so there was almost a continual arrival and departure of cars filling up. Made the place feel quite safe. Good 30k loop walk possible up to to see Gelo cave - nice mix of forest walk and crossing old lava flows.

Great peaceful place to spend a few nights. Views of Etna are incredible and there is a National Park nearby for some great walking. There is tap water just at the entrance to the parking area or spring water just opposite, the locals say it comes straight from the mountain and it both prevents and cures cancer. Nearby Bronte is the home of the Sicilian pistachio, be sure to stop by for some delicious sweet and savoury treats!
