Porthcothan Clifftop Camping est un camping de retour à l'essentiel sur le terrain d'un agriculteur en activité avec des robinets d'eau et des toilettes à compost uniquement. Pas d'option pour vider les eaux usées ou les toilettes chimiques et pas de douche mais la vue imprenable sur la mer côtière compense le manque d'installations. … et en fait c'est pourquoi nous l'avons aimé car il est basique et non commercialisé. Porthcothan Bay est à 1,6 km via un sentier pédestre; Padstow se trouve à 15 minutes de route du site. Le camping est situé juste à côté du sentier côtier et de superbes plages de sable sont facilement accessibles en marchant le long du sentier côtier dans les deux sens. Les chiens bien élevés sont également les bienvenus. En arrivant avec un camping-car ou un petit camping-car, cherchez un petit panneau sur la route et entrez sur une piste de terrain, qui finit par aboutir au camping après environ 300 mètres (traversant environ 3 champs) avant d'arriver au terrain de camping avec vue sur la côte. Porthcothan Clifftop Camping is a back to basics campsite on a working farmer’s field with water taps and a composting toilet only. No option to empty wastewater or chemical toilets and no showering facility but the stunning coastal sea view makes up for the lack of facilities. …and actually this is why we liked it as it is basic and non commercialised. Porthcothan Bay is a mile away via a footpath; Padstow is 15 minutes' drive from the site. The campsite is located right next to the coastal path and stunning sandy beaches are easily reached by walking along the coastal path either direction. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. When arriving with a campervan or small motorhome, look out for a small sign on the road and enter onto a field track, which eventually ends up on the campsite after about 300 meters (driving through about 3 fields) before you get to the campsite field with the coastal view. Porthcothan Clifftop Camping ist ein Campingplatz mit Back-to-Basics auf einem Feld eines Bauern mit Wasserhähnen, Komposttoiletten und Duschen. Keine Möglichkeit, Abwasser oder Chemietoiletten zu entleeren, aber der atemberaubende Meerblick macht den Mangel an Einrichtungen wett. …und genau deshalb mochten wir es, da es einfach und nicht kommerzialisiert ist. Porthcothan Bay ist über einen Fußweg 1,6 km entfernt. Padstow liegt 15 Fahrminuten von der Website entfernt. Der Campingplatz liegt direkt neben dem Küstenweg und atemberaubende Sandstrände sind leicht zu Fuß auf dem Küstenweg in beide Richtungen zu erreichen. Auch gut erzogene Hunde sind willkommen.
