It was quite a nice park for walking around before but with the addition of the new country park that has been opened up on the western side, this is now a beautiful area for families to come to. A massive field is packed in summer with families picnic-ing and playing games. It’s a great area for dog walkers too because of the river and families on bikes as it’s so flat. The car park though is packed on Sat mornings as it holds a busy ParkRun. A shop nearby too. It’s a great area on weekends and those summer evenings, very friendly.
