Great place to park for the night! When I arrived there were 2 vans parked up just outside the carpark (1am). Very low noise with the occasional car driving past, woke up at 7:30 and car park was relatively busy so if people want a bit more privacy when getting up then I’d suggest getting up earlier than I did. Nice place to go for a morning walk from the car park.
Height restriction of 1.9m so could not get in. could see quote a few cars though.
It was quite a nice park for walking around before but with the addition of the new country park that has been opened up on the western side, this is now a beautiful area for families to come to. A massive field is packed in summer with families picnic-ing and playing games. It’s a great area for dog walkers too because of the river and families on bikes as it’s so flat. The car park though is packed on Sat mornings as it holds a busy ParkRun. A shop nearby too. It’s a great area on weekends and those summer evenings, very friendly.
