New land with water disposal and free water and electricity (6Ampere), at Parque Urbano de Souselo. 8 places for motor homes up to 7m, close access, supermarket and restaurant at 100 meters, gas station at 400 meters. WC, picnic tables, playground for children and fitness equipment in the field. The place is below the N 222 but stays calm at night. Many thanks to the municipality of Souselo for this place.

Une aire comme en rêvent tous les van lifer! Des services gratuits et de qualités, une magnifique vue et les lumières de Noël pour éclairer la nuit. Faire par contre très attention à la pente pour y accéder qui est difficile à remonter.

Eigentlich ein sehr schöner Platz, der 5 * verdient hätte. Allerdings hängen die Jugendlichen, wegen dem WLAN, hier ab und zerstören, verschmutzen dabei die kompletten Sanitäranlagen. Es funktioniert nur noch die Behindertendusche, aber Achtung das Waschbecken fällt auch bald runter. In der Nacht/frühen Morgen kommen dann die Caravanhasser mit lauter Musik. Die Gemeinde sollte dringend handeln.

Top site. You have here everything grey and black water, drinking water, Electricity, WC, and Hot shower and it's all free. 8 places, plus parking lot one level lower for 20 cars. Unfortunately 2 showers were already damaged. 1 is working fine. Keep it clean and do not destroy it. Other like to enjoy to. Much thanks to the village. 25 okt 2020 we were alone.

Super aire, merci pour l'accueil et merci à la municipalité. Toilettes, douches propres. Eau, Électricité, vidange. Table de picnic, jeux pour enfant, tout y est !! On a un véhicule de 7,20 et porte vélos, entrée surprenante mais on est passé sans difficulté!

A really nice, neat spot for approx. 6 or 7 vans/campers. All services, incl. electricity are available for free. Nice view and very quiet in the night. 7,5 - 8 meters is kind of the maximum to make the turn.

Superbe lieu pour y passer la nuit ! Les aménagements sont vraiment bien. Les enfants ont accès à une aire de jeux en toute sécurité. Également sympa pour faire un footing ou quelques exercices sportifs. Je recommande vivement le spot !!!

Nous venons de vivre une expérience terrible. La route d'accès est très pente et un virage à 90 degrés, nous avons failli nous retourner et nous avons dû nous élancer dans la pente. impossible de faire demi tour, nos freins ont surchauffés et nous sommes immobilisés.

Service area for motorhomes with all conditions (electricity, water, wc, place for dumping dirty water and wc) and 100% free, it has 8 spaces with plenty of space. Next to it has a playground, physical activity park. The only negative point may be the noise of children and young people in the park until later. Pay attention to the entrance and exit of the motorhome area, as it is slightly tilted laterally.

Wirklich toller Ort zum übernachten und um eine der Wanderung in der näheren Gegend zu unternehmen. Die Toiletten/Duschen sind super. Die Anfahrt ist etwas steil und eng.

Ausgezeichnet! Es ist wirklich alles da, was das Camperherz sich wünscht, inkl. Strom und fantastischen Duschen. Einzig die Einfahrt ist ziemlich steil (das Ganze ist an einen Hang gebaut), vielleicht vor der Einfahrt mal begutachten. Sollte aber letztendlich für jeden möglich sein.

Fijne plek om te overnachten met de camper. er is een mogelijkheid om te douchen, de toilet te gebruiken en de supermarkt zit om de hoek! Ook is er de mogelijkheid om stroom te gebruiken, echter is daar een CEE stekker voor nodig (welke niet te koop is in de naastgelegen winkel).

Local excelente. Infelizmente os chuveiros já foram vandalizados, mas todos os restantes serviços continuam a funcionar bem. O grande problema é o acesso, como já foi dito aqui, a entrada é mesmo para "corajosos".

Brilliant site complete with a shower block! All virtually new and spotless. Only reason for just 3 stars is free electricity encourages too many too stay way too long and block off spaces for those who are passing through whose then only option is to use the overflow car park situated a little lower down the hill. Just as nice but less convenient for the showers and no electricity.

J'ai mis 4 Etoiles parcequ'il faut encourager les initiatives des municipalités et en plus c'est gratuit. l'étoile en moins c'est notre galère malgré ses 170cv notre 7ml avec sa remorque courte(avec scoot et velos) pour ne pas gêner on a voulu prendre le 2ème parking et en marche arrière. Heureusement un habitant nous a aidé avec son véhicule sinon on restait planté en bas. donc avant de vous engager pensez qu'il faudra ressortir. D'autre part c'est en partie basse 1 parking pour les habitants donc parfois retour tardifs 2 ou 3h du matin et départ au boulot vers 6h

Je rejoins les autres commentaires, merveilleuse aire de camping car. Tous les services gratuits dont électricité !!! Magnifique vue sur la vallée du Douro ainsi que pleins d'informations touristiques (randonnées, culture, nature...). Un très grand merci à la municipalité pour cette rare générosité. PS : Nous avons un camping car de 8m et nous sommes rentrées et garées sans aucun soucis.

I had read the reviews and was all excited to get here, it did not disappoint! Beautiful views, lots of space for big campers but I agree about the entrance being tricky. I watched a 7m van turn in, with a few manoeuvres it made it. If you take it slow, it's really okay! Elec is 3 pin standard Euro plug, I bought an adaptor but didn't need it! 2 toilets for men and 2 for women, one shower each in the disabled toilet. Lower car park for bigger vans available and plenty of picnic tables for enjoying the view. I'm so happy with this area it's definitely the best I've sen so far! Big thanks to the town of Souselo for this!

Muito bom. Todos os serviços gratuitos incluindo electricidade e balneários com água quente. A entrada é um pouco complicada mas nada que não se faça. Autocaravana com mais de 7m não cabem, ficam na zona de baixo.

En semaine des jeunes des alentours, les nuits sont infernales, des bruits de porte, des musiques à fond, des voix bruyantes à ne pas dormir de 1 heure jusqu'à 3h matin et pour les jeunes non véhiculés le Tapage et de 18h à 22h les non véhiculés que là j'accepte quand même vu que c'est autorisé jusqu'à une certaine heure après une grande journée de marche et autres, nous méritons pas le respect

Fantastic facilities in a beautiful region of Portugal. All open even in January. Entrance is a bit sketchy and nothing over 7 meters will fit in the dedicated bays. Room for 8 with free EHU and hot showers! Come on UK sort it out!!!!

WiFi, Dusche, Wasser, Strom und Entsorgung vorhanden, und zwar umsonst. Das ist wirklich ein tolles Angebot. Zudem ist der Platz sauber und gepflegt. Nebenan gibt es einen Spielplatz und Sportgeräte. In der Nacht war es sehr ruhig. Die Zufahrt ist recht steil aber kein großes Problem

Wir stehen nun schon ein paar Tage hier und haben bisher nichts gefunden was vergleichbar wäre. Toilette, Dusche und Strom umsonst. Zudem gibt es direkt um die Ecke einen Supermarkt mit günstigen Preisen. Die Menschen sind hier sehr nett und man fühlt sich wohl...ABER...die Schüler am Nachmittag und Jugendliche am Abend bis in die Nacht machen diesen Platz leider unschön und viele Dinge kaputt.

Tout est dit. Je suis camping cariste depuis 8 ans et j'ai voyagé à travers l'Europe et c'est pour ma part la plus belle aire que j'ai pu voir. Il est vrai que les manoeuvres sont un peu délicates mais si on sait un temps soit peu conduire, ça passe. Vu la pente des lieux alentours, il n'y a franchement rien de plat et c'est un petit miracle que la commune est réalisée une aire à cet endroit.

Aire de camping-car sympa mais dommage que les collégiens ne trouvent pas d'autres occupations que de venir boucher les toilettes, lavabo et qu'ils laissent leur déchets partout alors qu'il y a des poubelles partout

Très bon emplacement, très propre avec tous les services. Seul petit bémol les emplacements sont légèrement en pente, pour plus de confort penser à prendre des cales.

On ne peut pas trouver mieux au niveau aménagement, très propre, belle vue, commerce à proximité. Une municipalité accueillante pour les camping-caristes à nous d'en prendre soins car c'est de plus en plus rare, l'accès est un peu délicat mais ça passe. Bravo pour cette belle initiative.

Espaço 5*. Pena o acesso não ser fácil a viaturas com mais de 7 mts. Eletricidade e duche quente grátis. Supermercado e café ao lado e ES Repsol. Pela manhã na curva uma carrinha vende peixe fresco. Uma caminhada agradável até ao Rio Douro entrando no acesso de Turismo Rural. Muito bom.

This is a really nice new and clean Aire under the main road. There are 4 pitches each side of the sanitary block. The first 4 have more room to manoeuvre. It's part of a new park in the town. It really is a 5 star site. Pros: Free parking. Free services. Free electricity. Free fast WiFi. Free hot powerful showers. Free toilets. Picnic benches. Touch screen information. Outdoor gym. Stunning views. Local supermarket, cafe and bar. Cons: Difficult entry and exit. Service bay difficult to manoeuvre into/out. Roads not suitable for leisure cyclists. There is no shade. There are full free services including electricity. The services are beside the toilets/shower block and are very difficult to manoeuvre into/out for motorhomes longer that 6m. I watched many long vans really struggle and have to drive on the flower bed and empty at an angle. The grey waste is a normal ground drain with good direction. The black WC drain is 100mm off the ground under a large stainless steel cover. The drain is good and deep with no splashback. There are 2 taps, one with a yellow hose connected with a 3/4 turn handle and the other a push button tap. The fresh water tap pillar is on the other side away from the black WC drain, again with 2 taps. A long yellow hose connected to the screw-on tap with a 3/4 turn handle and the other a push button tap that is not screw-on. There are small bins in the park and recycling bins at the supermarket. The medium sized supermarket, cafe and bar are across the main road. There is a pharmacy further down the road with no footpath, so the walk is a little hairy. The river is a 25 minute walk down the hill passing vineyards where you can purchase local wines. We had a quiet night after the group of young loud girls went home about 11. They hang out around the sanitary block. Also two cars with young adults and loud music were in the lower carpark for about 20 minutes. There is some road noise and a local church bell but that did not bother us. The sanitary block containing clean toilets and showers is in the middle of the Aire. The showers have plenty of hot water and are powerful. The toilets are clean but there is no soap in the dispenser. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) We did not encounter any mosquitoes here.

Faultless. All new facilities including spotless (hot) showers, electricity, water (fresh, grey and black) and a lovely view of the Duoro valley. All free! Quite amazing and a credit to local council. only 8 places as far as I can see so get here early (although if full you could park in normal car park below and use showers etc but without access to electricity).

Well if I could award 10 stars I would. This has been the best, and tidiest stop so far. Beautiful views, electricity, toilets and hot showers. Please do not use and abuse this site as the commune has spent a lot of time and money investing for us campers...... Enjoy your days here and leave as you find.

Sitio fantástico para pasar la noche, cuenta con suministro de electricidad aunque el primer bloque de enchufes la noche que nosotros estuvimos no funcionaba. Cuenta con baños públicos en perfecto estado. La entrada al lugar es un poco complicada para autocaravanas grandes.

J'aurais mis 5 étoiles si j'avais pu y accéder. Malheureusement impossible, poids lourds de 8m sur 3m60 dénivelé d'accès trop important et en plus penche droite gauche. Risque de renversement. Nous nous sommes gares derrière l'église pour aller prendre une douche..

Tout est dit sur cette aire hors du commun. Propreté, services, calme, environnement, tout est là pour une étape réussie. Attention toutefois aux gros gabarits, accès pentu un peu délicat. Merci à cette commune qui a compris tout l’intérêt d’un bon accueil.

Vraiment une super aire, quand même déconseillée aux camping-cars de plus de 7,50 m. Le nôtre fait 7,50 m et il a fallu manœuvrer pour la vidange. Tout neuf avec douches et toilettes. L'électricité est gratuite mais limitée, se déconnecte au bout d'environ 4 heures. Un grand merci à la municipalité.

Superb, clean & new facilities. Hot shower and free EHU! As well as std water & waste. Aire situated on a new park area with children’s area, gym and jogging track. Supermarket across road. Little else to do in the area - we walked to river but it was a 7km round trip, there are also a couple of cafes/bars around. Still a 5/5 aire. Thank you to the municipality for providing such a facility.

Easily the best free camper park we’ve seen so far while traveling across Europe. It’s better than most paid campgrounds! Careful when entering the parking area, the hill is a doozy.

Nice quiet area, newly built with some building still going on, but nothing that disturbs rest. free hot, clean showers, free electricity hook up and clean toilets. We stayed two nights and it was peaceful, safe and has a little supermarket a short walk away. highly recommend

Fantastische plek en goed werkende voorzieningen. Schone wc's. Stroom was gedeeltelijk afgesloten toen wij kwamen, had met laagseizoen te maken. Maar goed, voor een gratis plek niets te klagen! Supermarkt met bakkerij op 50 meter.

Sehr gepflegter neuer Platz. Saubere Toiletten, mehrere Trinkwasser Anschlüsse und Entsorgung. Die Steckdosen waren leider ausgestellt aber es gibt einen Stecker im Bad. Kleiner schöner Ort mit netten offenen Menschen. Der Supermarkt gegenüber hat alles was man braucht. Der Bäcker ist sehr günstig. Vorsicht bei der Einfahrt. Sehr große Fahrzeuge könnten Probleme haben. Toller Platz! Danke!

Superbe la vue, toilette juste à côté et un petit parc, électricité et eau gratuite. Les places sont larges en longueur, pas plus de 7 m, spot idéal pour se reposer tranquillement

Absolutely superb facilities with convenient small supermarket almost opposite. Exercise facilities and children’s area close at hand. I would agree that anything over 7 metres will struggle with access.

Super endroit, aire de camping-car entourée de montagne, aire de jeu, aire de sport, électricité et eau gratuites. Point négative entrée du parking en côte et étroit.

If staying here the water tap needs an adapter as our English fittings don’t fit! Across the road in the supermarket for €1.60 one can buy the adaptor shown in the picture. Whether it’s like this for all Portuguese sites I don’t know but always handy to have in our Moho armoury!

Perfect! Plenty of places and 2 x four electric points for 8 motorhomes! Water, black and grey waste too. It looks like they have showers/loos but they are presently shut for the winter. Wonderful view at the back of the site over the town and surrounding hills. Entrance is very narrow and on a slope so approach with care!
