Prefect for a 1 night stopover on route £10 without EHU £15 with, you pay at the pub next door where you have access to the toilets while they are open.
OK stop for a motorhome. only facilities are parking with possibility of electricity. only other facility is fresh water. there is WiFi in the pub where you pay. very limited in the parking area. zero mobile reception on smarty network. pleasant enough place and the pub does food.

For £15 including electric you can’t complain at all. Pitches are flat and enough space around for reversing the motorhome etc. Next to a pub (where you pay for your stay) that does meals at really reasonable prices. All 5 pitches were full by 6pm. No views but cheap and cheerful for a night.
We only stop here for water - 2 £ put in the honesty box. Water flow is very good and there is a hose provided if you don’t have one.
Perfect for a night stop if self-contained as there is no toilet. 10 for parking, 5 for Electric and 2 for water, to be paid in the Honesty Box. Quiet at night. Had a gorgeous dinner at the hotel next to the parking
Good stopover and fair price for electric/water re-fill. We unfortunately had severe wind whilst here so wasn’t a very peaceful nights sleep, but there was no road noise from 9pm-9am at least!
Good place to stop for a few nights, as long as you don't need to empty toilet cassette, local toilet across the road looks like it's been closed for years, you can use pub loo in opening times 2pm till 11pm,friendly staff in pub, also need cash to pay.
This place is bang on for the price, it £15 if you want electric, traffic (it’s on the NC500 to be expected, quiet after 11 starts again 6.30 no problem sleeping through ! It’s worth a walk down to the Old Castle ! Had food at the pub, the staff were lovely - You can use the pub for loo but bear in mind if there’s no one in they shut (around 10 on our trip) public loos not open across the way.
stayed here 1 night, pay in the hotel. not a beautiful spot, but safe and quiet and great value for money. hotel/pub serves great food at a decent price, friendly helpful staff
Not a beauty spot. But cheap for water & electric in a sheltered area from harsh weather / traffic noise. Worth it if you need the resources and a quite night. Shame they are no water disposal services.
Electricity is now £5 extra. No black or grey discharge available.
Great idea, electric and water and only £10 a night. Really friendly staff in the Inn next door and lovely food worth going in to support local business.
10 £ avec eau et électricité je dis bravo. C’est calme et propre.
Guter Stellplatz für eine Nacht. Preis/Leistung stimmt.
Was having a bit of difficulty finding a good place to park overnight and managed to find this place, only a tenner for the night and we had some of the food in the resteraunt that evening which was nice too, would highly recommend :)
Friendly pub staff, quiet, sheltered from the wind and well sign posted. Quiet (we're here in early April).
Quiet overnight stop on a slightly sloping car park just in front of the pub. Hook up and fresh water from a tap on the front of the old garage building that borders the car park. Pub staff very friendly and open up for you to use the loo from 9.00am. Some passing traffic from main road, but infrequent enough to avoid disturbing your night's sleep
Great Pub full of friendly local characters.
Very warm welcome from the owner (and dog Jimmy) of the pub. Stayed here for two nights with hook up. Excellent shelter from the wind - which can be pretty strong up here! Highly recommended.
Amazing place pub is full of locals, need to try a rusty nail, trust me well worth it!!
Stayed here last night. Great location and good beer.
This park up was perfect as an alternative to a wild camp. £10 for electric hook-up and water. hotel staff very friendly and they do a takeaway main menu which was fantastic and very reasonably priced. you have use of the toilets in the bar area but at 8:45 am the door was still not open and we had to hotfoot it to John O'Groats 10 minutes away. the walk down to the Harbour it was well worth it
Belting spot. Friendly locals in the pub. Decent night's kip. Highly recommend.
Turn up, park the van and pay at the Village Inn pub next door. £10 which includes electricity and water. Can use toilets in the pub. Food in the pub is well worth stopping in for...or they do takeout. Fish was huge. John the landlord was great and told us about filming of The Crown in the harbour with Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten.
We decided to stop here , £10 for the night including electric hookup . Just pay in the hotel next door. The food in the hotel is gorgeous ,highly recommended.
With few other places to stop and it getting late, we called ahead and they squeezed us in! Comfortable little spot with facilities, supporting local business. Nice harbour a short walk away.
Great for a 1 night stay. Pay £10 in the hotel next door for hard standing hook up and use of toilet facilities. Great pub food/drink and very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely walk down to Harbor and along coast.
Perfect for a one night stop on the NC500 or heading for a ferry, £10 a night Inc hook up, first come first served, pay at the hotel bar in the hotel, food and beer available at very reasonable prices, good old fashioned village pub, bar staff are lovely, was perfect for us would defo use again .. 10/10
Really nice spot in a lovely village. Close enough to drive to John o groats. However, to disagree with some other reviews, the local pub next door where you pay is absolutely lovely. The staff were incredibly polite, offering suggestions regarding onwards for the trip. Genuinely wish we were staying longer.
Very good night sleep. would highly recommended lovely friendly staff. Well worth £10
Had a quite night would stay again was so easy paid at the hotel had a drink in the bar with our 2 dogs then got a takeaway from them to eat in the van. The locals were very friendly and gave us some good tips where to go.
£10 for a nights sleep, electric hook up and water. What more do you need. Make sure you have the plastic wheel things to level off as car park on a very slight slope. (The plastic thinks made us 100% level).
Basic, but just what we needed. electric hook up and water fill up point, only £10
A great place for an overnight stay. Ignore the review about the locals. We had a couple of drinks at the pub and found them all to be welcoming and good fun. They told us about the local area and about the filming of an episode of “The Crown” which made at the harbour. The owner of the site told us he was an extra in the episode, didn’t manage to get his autograph though ?. Very quiet night, electric hook up and only £10.
Excellent stop. One of the best stops on the nc500 the pub next door has excellent local caught fish cooked to perfection. The bar is great crack a nice little country pub well done I’ll be back ?
Just a car park with no view next to an average drinkers pub, I wouldn’t stay there overnight. But... we topped up with water there for £5 which is just what we needed
Great place to stay. Hotel Sinclair just up the road. Call in the pub Village Inn great night. Welcoming staff and quiet night . Recommend for a stay over will visit again .
Locals are a bit thick and the pub was full of troglodytes, cross eyed and painless yokels, couldn't understand their accent and most seemed to be alcoholics. avoid !!!!!
Very good place to stop. Hotel staff very friendly. Public toilets across the road are closed, so hotel are letting campers use hotel toilets.
Bar staff are awesome electric and water available @ 10 a night and the food is fantastic !!!!!!!
Stopped here last night (16/09/2019) Great place to stop over, nice and quiet, 16 amp electricity so you can recharge everything if you’ve been off grid. They made us very welcome in the hotel pub. We didn’t eat there so can’t rate the food or service. Dog friendly
Si l’on a vraiment besoin d’électricité.
Great place to stay, very quiet and sheltered from the bad weather. Public toilets straight across the road, open 24hrs. A bargain at just £10 a night including electricity. Would definitely recommend.
