Rustic Wild Atlantic Way Camping – Lettermullen Co Galway Set right on the sea's edge along the Wild Atlantic Way in Lettermullen, this is rugged, off-the-beaten-track camping at its most authentic. The site sits exposed to the elements on the Connemara coastline, with uninterrupted views across the bay — the kind of raw, dramatic landscape this area is known for. Due to the site's exposed coastal position, shipping containers are used on site as windbreakers, providing shelter from the strong Atlantic winds that sweep in off the sea. A container style hot shower is also available as part of the services package. While this may not suit those expecting a conventional camping aesthetic, it's a practical solution suited to the terrain and weather conditions here. Due to the natural unspoilt environment facilities are more basic than at larger commercial campsites. This is very much a spot for those seeking genuine, rugged camping in one of Ireland's most remote and beautiful coastal locations, rather than a fully serviced campervan park.
