Previous description and photos were completely the wrong place! This is a good lay-by at the side of Llyn Ogwen. Bit noisy with traffic but is fine overnight. Walkers stay in cars and turn up for early start up Tryfan. Will upload replacement photos from today.

Vorige beschrijving en foto's stonden helemaal op de verkeerde plek! Dit is een goede tussenstop naast Llyn Ogwen. Beetje luidruchtig met verkeer, maar is prima 's nachts. Wandelaars blijven in auto's en komen opdagen voor de vroege start van Tryfan. Zal vanaf vandaag vervangende foto's uploaden.

parked up alone at 18.00 and around 22.00 there were many more vans around me also camping.

in the morning there were workmen in vans parked up but had no trouble from them.
Stayed here last night after not being able to camp at gwern gof isaf up the road as it was closed. Brilliant little spot at the foot of Tryfan, really quiet after 8pm. Few people staying the night too! No phone signal.
Reasonable stop, road quiet during the night. Wasn't busy just a handful staying over. While we were there a group went for a swim in the lake and slept out on the pavement. Safe spot.
Lovely views, we stopped for a night few weeks ago, good new surface, was other campers and lorrys when we stopped, like others said can get busy in morning, but was quiet overnight, good place to start walks, no sign for no overnight parking, like others just down the road.
Good park up for Tryfan mountain. Great location no phone signal beautiful views and amazing scenery. We parked across the front over looking the view however it was on a slight slope. 3 other vans on a Thursday night no issues.
A fabulous spot to park up at with beautiful views of Llyn Ogwen.
The layby has recently been resurfaced - bays are marked up and it is very flat and there is a one way system in operation to drive through.
The A5 starts to get traffic at around 6am but as the layby is set back a bit it felt very safe.
