Parked here in october, it was quite at first but around 10pm a refrgerated large van arrived i assume for fish and left engine,refrigeration on all night. i have sensative hearing so the noise was annoying. Hardly slept! Not sure if this is the norm? Large car park if you want to risk it- Not worth £8 if you cant sleep.
Moved away at night due to loud refrigerated lory, can't sleep there for sure
only ones here tonight. park on tarmac on the left as you drive into the harbour. there is a refrigerator lorry but I can't hear it. great stop for ferry. £8 honesty box and bins provided.
Ebener Platz mit Blick aufs Meer. Sehr gutes Internet. Allerdings der erwähnte Kühllaster läuft einfach die ganze Nacht! Ich würde hier nicht nochmal übernachten, gibt genug andere Plätze hier.
This fantastic spot is secluded and right opposite the beach. We didn’t see a single person, making it a brilliant location for us and our three Chihuahuas. It’s only 15 minutes from the town, where you can stock up on supplies if you’re travelling around the island like we were.
Handy for Stornoway, level tarmac, views of the sea, bin provided and lit at night... but... freezer lorry left in the evening, only to return in the night and provide a background noise (it is a regular noise, so not too bad, but then again, not ideal).
Great little stop over, a little harbour traffic, but very little noise as car park is as the top of the harbour. Honesty box is cash only, so bring enough with you! Fairly level and sheltered from any North winds!

Stayed here after late-ish ferry arrival. Peaceful, quiet and safe spot to park up. Saw the freezer truck mentioned in previous comments parked over night, but it’s so far away from the parking (NOT gravel area!) that we couldn’t hear it. However, we stayed on a rainy and windy night. It was very sheltered at the far end of the parking area, which is not sloping. No traffic in the morning either.

We stayed one night and were able to fill up with water from the ferry port tap in the morning. It is a great spot The only downside was there was a freezer truck waiting overnight with the engine running constantly.
A good stop after visiting Garry beach. Honesty box in the corner of the car park.
Use the carpark only, where the honesty box is. NOT the trailer area, as FrenchyleVan did, to which acces is required by HGVs. Tourists are getting a poor reputation when they upset the working locals and this is one of the reasons, not parking properly.
We parked at the end of the large gravel area with stored trailers and boats. Pretty leveled and nobody around. Quiet night. Good phone signal.
Le parking au dessus du port est très bien, ne gêne pas les pêcheurs, plat, tranquille, belle vue.
This was a great overnight stop, only 15 minutes from Stornaway. We were the only van here, and parked overlooking a little working harbour. Several fishing boats went out at some point but didn't disturb us - it was very quiet and peaceful. There is a bin but no other facilities. I think it would be a good stopover as you come off the ferry at Stornaway. We arrived at 9pm ish
