Superbe vue pour les couchers de soleil. Un endroit idéal pour se rendre à l'île de Dursey. Le village voisin possède un bon pub avec, sans conteste, une excellente pinte, probablement l'une des meilleures. Il y a deux emplacements.
L'électricité est disponible dans la cour où se trouvent les sanitaires (premier virage à gauche), sur la clôture en face du bâtiment en pierre. Soyez très prudent avec votre GPS. Ne quittez pas la R575 avant d'avoir vu les panneaux indiquant le camping d'Allihies, car votre GPS pourrait vous emmener sur le chemin de halage, trop étroit pour les véhicules, en zone montagneuse. Mauvaise nouvelle ! Les habitants m'ont dit que cela arrive souvent !
Il y a quelques éviers (peut-être 4 ou 5) autour de l'emplacement, mais pas d'eau chaude. Vous pouvez faire la vaisselle dans la buanderie (où se trouvait la lessive) et l'eau chaude coule, mais il y a des déchets non ramassés devant les toilettes. Anthony et Theresa roulent sur leur VTT orange pour encaisser les frais sur l'emplacement.
Il y a un autre grand emplacement plus loin, après les toilettes publiques, vers le bout de la route, et Anthony en est toujours le propriétaire. Nous avons remonté le sentier au-delà des emplacements et c'était spectaculaire ! Il y a une échelle à chaque clôture et nous avons même pique-niqué près des falaises. Attention aux taureaux dans la ferme et, comme toujours, respectez le propriétaire et ne laissez que des empreintes de pas.

best view for sunsets. fabulous place to get to Dursey Island. the nearby village has a good pub with - hands down - an amazing pint, possibly one of the best. there are two sites.
Electricity is available in the yard containing the shower block (the first left turn), on the fence opposite the stone building. Be very careful with your sat. nav. Do not leave the R575 until you see the road signs for the campsite at Allihies because Sat nav may try to take you onto the bridleway that is not wide enough for vehicles, in mountainous country. Very bad news! Locals told me this happens frequently!
there's some sink (maybe 4-5 of them) around the pitch but no hot water, you can wash your dishes in the utility room (where the laundry was) and there's hot water running but there's uncollected rubbish infront of the toilets and Anthony and Theresa riding in their orange ATV to collect payment in the pitch.
There's another big pitch up ahead after the public toilet towards the end of the road and Anthony still the owner. We went walking up the trail beyond the pitches and it was spectacular!! there's a ladder every fence to go over and we even had picnic close the cliffs but watch out for the bulls in the farm and as always respect the landowner and leave only footprints.

Beste Aussicht auf Sonnenuntergänge. Ein fantastischer Ort, um nach Dursey Island zu gelangen. Im nahegelegenen Dorf gibt es einen guten Pub mit – zweifellos – einem fantastischen Pint, vielleicht einem der besten. Es gibt zwei Stellplätze.
Strom gibt es im Hof mit dem Duschblock (erste Linkskurve), am Zaun gegenüber dem Steingebäude. Seien Sie sehr vorsichtig mit Ihrem Navigationssystem. Verlassen Sie die R575 nicht, bis Sie die Schilder zum Campingplatz in Allihies sehen, da Ihr Navigationssystem Sie möglicherweise auf einen Reitweg führt, der in bergigem Gelände nicht breit genug für Fahrzeuge ist. Sehr schlechte Nachrichten! Einheimische haben mir erzählt, dass das häufig vorkommt!
Es gibt einige Waschbecken (vielleicht 4-5) rund um den Stellplatz, aber kein Warmwasser. Sie können Ihr Geschirr im Hauswirtschaftsraum (wo die Wäscherei war) spülen, und es gibt fließendes Warmwasser, aber vor den Toiletten liegt nicht abgeholter Müll, und Anthony und Theresa fahren mit ihrem orangefarbenen ATV, um die Bezahlung auf dem Stellplatz abzuholen.
Nach der öffentlichen Toilette am Ende der Straße gibt es noch einen großen Stellplatz, und Anthony ist immer noch der Besitzer. Wir sind den Weg hinter den Stellplätzen entlanggelaufen, und es war spektakulär! Hinter jedem Zaun gibt es eine Leiter, und wir haben sogar in der Nähe der Klippen gepicknickt. Aber achtet auf die Bullen auf der Farm und respektiert wie immer den Landbesitzer und hinterlasst nur Fußspuren.

Fabulous location and views above lovely beach. Some practical info €10 per person cash only €2 for a shower that lasts 8 mins Water taps are all drinking water 20 min walk to O'Neill's pub in village (Fab food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, well priced) 1 star off as showers are not clean, not a problem if you wear flip flops. 1 star added for a decent fair price. Great price, stunning location, 2euro laundry - can't complain! but be very careful when it rains the field gets very muddy. It is best to park on harder ground closer to the sauna or in the yard by the electrical sockets.
Just find a space and park up, owner will be round at some point for €10 each for the night on his quad bike. Lots of empty permanent caravans, so much emptier than it looks at first site. Washing machines, tumble dryers and indoor washing up sink. Showers and loos fine, just a bit of a hike from the field. Great cheap site in stunning location, right by the beach.
Fantastic sea views from slightly above the beach indeed. However the toilet, shower were anything but clean. The little kitchen was a total mess. If you need neither and just a place to stay in a great location, then it’s perfect.
Location, location, location! Easygoing campsite in stunning place - 10 eur per person per night / showers 2 eur - you can't beat this in Ireland. Will come back here soon.
Bis zum 2. Wohnwagenplatz durchfahren und dann hinten links auf die kleine Wiese fahren. Hier stehen keine Wohnwagen und wenn man Glück hat, ist ein Platz direkt am kleinen Steilufer frei. Man steht autark, ca. 500 m vom Sanitärgebäude entfernt. Grauwasserentsorgung im Gulli vor dem Sanitärgebäude.
j'écris ce message tout en me trouvant à cette endroit. la vue est imprenable...les douches et toilettes sont super propres. l'accueil est à la cool...vous vous installez soit devant la plage soit un peu plus loin que la cale grand champ d'herbe. possibilité de machine à laver remplir de l'eau mais sans vidange et des toilettes et eau grise. Le pub à 8min en vélo.... endroit fantastique....

This place is not clean. We come at 7pm, most of the nice sports are taken from local people that are not even camping, they just park their caravan here. The toilets are disgusting and I mean it. Toilet paper everywhere, WC with clear signs of poo, no signs of soap for hands. Showers are ok, but you can only use a 2€ coin. The view is the only value. Also there is no other cool spot around.
Schöner Strand, unkompliziert und günstig, 20€ für 2 Personen. Die Anlage ist jedoch sehr dreckig und vermüllt. Für eine Nacht ok aber ich würde nicht wiederkommen.
Nov stop. women’s toilet block filthy - blocked toilets, wasn’t cleaned, blocked drains in shower. Rubbish from canned cat food outside. guy clearly had enough after summer but if you’re going to stay open and charge the same amount of money then you need to at least keep the place clean. 2 stars as location great and water for the showers was hot (if you don’t mind standing in inches of water).
Amazing views and beach nearby. We had two very peaceful nights here over Halloween.
at last a reasonably priced campsite for solo travellers. Spectacular beach. All amenities you need plus a freezer and some plugs as no electric on pitches. thank you Anthony and friends. Bonus of a barista coffee bar when you can't be bothered to make your own, and it's a very good coffee too.
Etwas wuseliger Platz mit tollem Blick auf das Meer. Die Sanitärräume sind neu und sehr sauber. Wir fanden den Platz richtig schön. 20 Euro 2 Personen inklusive Womo. 2 Euro für die Dusche.
Der Platz hat eine wildromantische Umgebung. Preis pro Person 10€, 3x Stromanschlüsse bei der Saniäranlage der Standplatz ist geteert sonst nur Wiese. Da die bisherigen Camper alles an der Steckdose angeschlossen haben und aufgeladen haben hat der Besitzer den Strompreis von 5 auf 10€ pro Nacht erhöht. Sanitäranlage sind erneuert und sauber, Duschen kostet 2€. Achtung nur Bargeldzahlung möglich!
Wir haben für 2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder 25 Euro/Nacht bezahlt. Den hinteren Platz fanden wir schöner. Es gibt 2 Waschmaschinen und Trockner die wirklich bezahlbar sind. Eine Sauna gibt es inzwischen auch(nicht im Preis enthalten) Camping wie es sein sollte. perfekter Blick, keine Verbote, gute sanitäre Einrichtungen. wer jedoch ganz gerade stehen will, der sollte lieber weiter fahren. what a beautiful spot .... absolutely perfect the owner calls around in the evening , to collect the payment , lovely man has a toilet a little walk away and a shower can light your bbq or brye or fire just off the ground 10 euros per persons , MAGIC
Terrain de camping tout simple. L'endroit est agréable à côté d'une plage. Nous étions installés sur le deuxième espace. Il faut s'installer où il y a de la place. Vers 19h, nous avons vu un quad orange conduit par un homme aux cheveux blancs, nous avons donné 20 euros pour nous deux. Le lendemain nous avons fait les services au niveau d'une maison jaune. Nous n'avions pas besoin d'électricité.
fine campsite without electric. great beach for spinfishing and canoeing. it is a bit of first come, first served with the pitches, but that does make it fun. the facilities are clean and as usual with Irish campsites the showers cost extra. please don't complain if you don't want to pay, just drive on and try to find a campsite where you don't have to pay... like a layby or p-place.
Stayed at Anthony's last night a very easy going kind of guy, park where you wish no restrictions, terrific wash block and showers spotlessly clean, few rules and regulations, next to the beach for a swim and fishing of the pier or rocks. Best yet.
The best camping!! Perfect spot, good facilities and just for 10 euro’s a person. I Think this is how camping should be. And as a very special perk, you can relax for 20 euro in a sauna for 1 hour with sight over the west coast, so golden hour is possible when you are lucky with the weather.

Nice views and beach but that was it. Very busy and only 2 motorhomes out of all the vehicles. Common showers and toilet for 2 euros. We turned around and left.
Preis Leistung: Heute 10€ pro Person bezahlt. Sanitäranlagen um 14 Uhr schmutzig. ?Wasserhahn hat kein Gewinde. Abwasser über Kanalgitter(Gullideckel)auf dem Hof, wenn nicht zugeparkt ?. Besitzer hilfsbereit. Lage ist klasse.
Prima spot. Je rijdt gewoon het terrein op en kiest een plaats (laatste week september). De eigenaar komt in de loop van de avond om cash af te rekenen. 7,50 € per persoon, 2€ om te douchen. Douches erg netje en lekker warm water. Geweldig uitzicht over de baai.
Amazing value for what you get. It has everything you need and a great beach for swimming right beside! The best value for money I've found ever. Highly recommend.
If you want electricity, park just inside the yard opposite shower block. CASH only €7.50 pp, €8 for elec, €2Coins for shower. Ladies toilets-showers getting a good clean when we got here. Right on Atlantic, windy but beautiful views. Beach, showers, taps, bins, food truck all within meters. Non-electric camping is green field, drive around to get level spot.
Nice campsite right by the beach with gorgeous views of the sea and mountains. €7.50 per person per night. Showers €2. Clean toilet and shower block, laundry room, rubbish bins and recycling. Walk into the village for pubs, food and local music, also an on-site food van and bookable sauna by the beach. Recommended.

Die Lage ist toll, direkt am Strand mit tollem Blick. Uns war es zu chaotisch und unorganisiert. Man steht wie man will kreuz und quer, die Wiese war sehr matschig und nicht gemäht. Der Besitzer kam spät abends zum abkassieren. Sanitär war okay, allerdings fanden wir 2€ extra fürs Duschen beim Preis von 20€ (2Erw. 1 Kind) für diesen Platz zuviel!
Der Platz liegt gut, direkt am Strand und der Preis ist fair. Allerdings waren rund um die Waschblocks einige etwas komische Leute unterwegs und die Waschräume selbst sind nicht so sauber. So richtig wohl habe ich mich daher nicht gefühlt.

Great location, clean beach and good for swimming. We were in the furthest field which is new this year. 5 mins walk down to the loos, shower etc - or hopped on our bikes. Walked round the coastal path and passed the mines, village and down again - marked route. Cycled up to the village for an evening pint outside the pubs. Walk just along the coast from the site for the perfect sunset scene.

Großer sauberer Campingplatz mit tollem Blick zum Meer ; zum Ort kann man in ca 20 Minuten gehen. Der Eigentümer ist sehr nett. Die Sanitäranlagen sind neu, aber die Duschen (2 Euro für ca 8 Minuten) sind nicht gut; es kommt nur ein ganz dünner Wasserstrahl. Strom (zb zum Aufladen der Womo Batterien) gibt es nur in der Einfahrt bei den Sanitäranlagen.

Really enjoyed 2 nights here. Fantastic views of the sea and sweeping hills from the cab. Direct access to the waymarked coastal path and easy walk to the colourful village. Cost €15 a night for 2 without elec. One star off as the best pitches don't have elec and the service point is just a tad awkward, needed to use flexi-pipe to get the grey water into the small drain.
Lovely spot!! As said, just park up sensibly and Anthony will find you. Few spaces for electricity which we went for, an extra 5 euro so 20 in total, a bargain! Clean showers, a coffee/food van on site, and we also hired the little wood sauna for an hour, with cold water dips in the ocean in between. Lovely beach, Beara is so wild. Also try the 'pub crawl' from O'neills to The Lighthouse ;)

Stayed here Saturday night September 3rd. Located on the beach front. Beautiful sunset. You just take a space snd the owner comes around in the evening to collect the money. Price was as said below, €15 fir 2 people. Would definitely recommend.

Arrived mid July with no booking and they still space! Very good facilities. 20 min walk into Allihies and the pub. Quiet night and amazing starscape. Showers are €2 for 8 mins.
Der Platz gleicht anfang Juni eher einer Aufbewahrung für in die Jahre gekommener Wohnwagen. Die WC Anlagen sind neu und Sauber. Duschen kostet 2€ für ? Minuten. Für eine Nacht sicher OK.
Great spot. €10 per night if you’re on your own €7.50 pps if more than one no matter size of vehicle/tents you put up etc. First field lovely and close to shower/toilet block but naturally a bit busier than second field further down road (kinda not obvious-go past the houses on right and beach parking on left then you can see it) Anthony and his cleaner Theresa are sound, solid country people ❤️
Stayed mid Sept and was able to get great spot overlooking the beach. Although toilet and shower block is new it wasn't overly clean, showers are €2 for approx 8mins. caravan selling food is lovely and price is fair. I was charged €10 for a single person in a tiny van so obviously prices have gone up
We stayed in the second field, very quiet and so close to the beach. There are toilets close to this campsite but the newer ones were much nicer and cleaner. You just park up and Anthony comes around on his red quad bike. It was only €7.50 per person. Definitely recommend watching the sunset from the beach.
Very pleasant site with a nice atmosphere and superb views. Beautiful beach and loop walks nearby. No specific pitches. Park up and Anthony will find you later. We came for one night and stayed for two. O’Neill’s pub in the village does good food. It’s a ten minute walk. Second field is the best option but can be tight to access with badly parked cars belonging to people at the beach.
We stayed in the further away campsite. it's only 3min walk to beach. overlooking sea . would definitely come back again.

What a fab spot! Roads in fairly tight and steep,would recommend taken the longer route in by dursey or Castletown bearhaven especially if in a camper van! It’s a first come,first serve bases on spots so be prepared to drive around. But when you do get settled this is a small bit of paradise that’s worth the journey. The facilities are good and clean,Anthony’s a character!
