Arrêt sur Fonthill Estate, sur une route assez calme - stationné un vendredi soir et a eu du trafic, et aussi le lundi soir qui était beaucoup plus calme et principalement local, dans l'ensemble assez bon pour une nuit de toute façon. Le Beckton Arms est un charmant pub à proximité (~ 10 minutes à pied, 2 minutes en voiture) avec un excellent service et une cuisine délicieuse, le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner. Lay-by a une réception minimale pour le réseau giffgaff, il est donc préférable de ne pas compter sur la 4G. C'était bon pour promener un chien, nager et SUP sur le lac.
Lay-by on Fonthill Estate, on fairly quiet road - parked on a Friday night and got some traffic, and also Monday night which was much quieter and mainly local, all in all good enough for a night anyway. The Beckton Arms is a lovely pub nearby (~10 minute walk, 2 minute drive) with excellent service and lovely food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lay-by has minimal reception for giffgaff network so best not to rely on having 4G. Was good for walking dog, wild swimming and SUP on the lake.
Gestoppt auf Fonthill Estate, auf einer ziemlich ruhigen Straße - an einem Freitagabend geparkt und hatte etwas Verkehr, und auch Montagabend, der viel ruhiger und hauptsächlich lokal war, alles in allem gut genug für eine Nacht. Das Beckton Arms ist ein schönes Pub in der Nähe (~ 10 Minuten zu Fuß, 2 Minuten Fahrt) mit exzellentem Service und leckerem Essen, Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen. Lay-by hat nur minimalen Empfang für das Giffgaff-Netzwerk, also verlassen Sie sich am besten nicht auf 4G. Es war gut zum Gassi gehen, Schwimmen und SUP auf dem See.

Lovely lake, it is a bit noisy but I was there on Friday night and had a good sleep. Bring earplugs if you need! There was one other car there too but no issues staying here.
Beautiful spot, no facilities and a lot of dog walkers. The lake looks nice and clean but signs saying no water activities at all. A fair amount of trucks delivering and picking up from the bonded warehouse across the other side of the lake. 5 mins walk to the lovely local pub - bring your salmon chinos to visit. Space for about 5 cars max.
This is a really really special place, I agree with the other comments that it would be tricky if you were a light sleeper because of the cars going by but I slept like a baby! The lake is magnificent, perfect for an early morning walk. Lovely locals, amazing wildlife. Go for it!
Awesome location next to a beautiful lake. Pub down the road is also so lovely. But the noise from the road is really bad, and often is bigger vans/trucks through the night which rattled the motorhome as they drive past. Would only stay here if you’re a heavy sleeper. Two other vans were there too but one left during the night, I assume because of the noise. If you can handle it, the location is definitely worth it!
Haltebucht direkt an der Straße an einem Gewässer; ist in Ordnung für eine Nacht; mit uns war ein LKW dort; viel Verkehr bis zum Einbruch der Nacht, die vorbeifahrenden Autos haben unseren Van doch sehr zum Schaukeln gebracht
