Très bel endroit. Camping un peu cher et douche froide, propreté limitée.

Camping situé dans un endroit exceptionnel. La piste est longue et accidentée mais accessible en van 2WD. Une nuit pour deux : 5600 ISK. Les douches & WC sont propres & chauffés. Personnel sympathique. Plusieurs départs de randonnée !

Wauw! De mooiste camping van de reis, wat een sprookje om hier te kunnen verblijven. Ter plaatse heel mooie wandelingen gedaan. De toiletten en douches zijn ook in orde. De route ernaartoe is mogelijk met een gewone auto, maar je moet wel traag rijden.

Un de mes meilleurs souvenirs de lieu de camping et randonnées en Islande, piste d’accès facile et on peut laisser charger les smartphones à l’accueil. Dame de la réception très gentille.

Platz in atemberaubender Landschaft auch ohne 4x4 erreichbar. WC u. Dusche OK und sauber. Ausgangspunkt für tolle Wanderungen. Kaum Mobilnetz.

What a gem of a location. Beautiful drive there and from campsite several will marked hikes are available. The facilities are basic, but the place is magical. 5600isk for 2 pax without electricity

Nichts zu ergänzen. Hatte hier eine tolle Wanderung bis zum Gletscher (3h hin und zurück - schneller geher)

Wirklich toller Platz. Haben sogar dieses Jahr offen bis zum 30.09. Personal war richtig freundlich. Abends wurde in der Höhle noch der Ofen und Teelichter angemacht. Man hat wirklich coole Leute dort getroffen. Toiletten und Duschen waren auch top.

Probably the most beautiful camping in all Iceland. The road up there is not easy, so make sure you have the right car, but it's worth the drive. Beautiful landscapes all the way!! There isn't a kitchen, but it has a couple of grills and tables inside a cave, 2 showers with warm water, bathrooms, and places to charge your devices. The girl who was in charge was super nice! Hike up in the morning!

Very unique camping, amazing views, a long 30 minutes ride from Route 1 but it was worth it, a lot of flat places to stay, showers for free, very kind people

Extraordinary camping, in magical surroundings. The road to the camp is not easy, I’d not recommend during night or heavy rain, however in normal day doable with no issues (we had 4x4 duster). The bathrooms are clean, 4 toilets for females and 4 for men, but only 2 showers for both. There is no kitchen, only the dinner area in the cave so you need to be prepare for this.

Very nice place, no idea though how prices are calculated. I paid 2000ISK, maybe because I only had cash.

Il faut préciser que cette piste est difficile à plusieurs endroits, dont une épingle ravinée et étroite . Je suis passé de justesse avec un fourgon Ducato de 6.33 en 2 roues motrices. Le camping est au fond d'une combe humide et perd vite le peu de soleil islandais. Un pré labouré par les 4x4. Une piste sillonnée par des conducteurs inconscients qui découvrent les routes de montagne et le 4x4...

Leider hingen die Wolken so tief, so dass ich die Landschaft an der Zufahrtsstraße kaum sah. Es sind zwar nur 16 km aber ich habe ohne 4x4 ca. 1 Stunde gebraucht. Trotzdem war es das wert, es ist ein magischer Ort, schönes Servicehaus mit WC und kostenloser heißer Dusche. Die Höhle als Aufenthaltsraum ist einmalig. Adam ist ein wundervoller Gastgeber, stets gut gelaunt und gibt Wandertipps

Nach einer abenteuerlichen, aber machbaren Hinfahrt kommt man in einem wunderschönen Tal, umgeben von Bergen an. Die Sanitären Anlagen sind sauber und funktional ausgestattet, warmes Duschen ist inklusive. Der Aufenthaltsraum in einer Höhle ist mit Kerzen beleuchtet und super urig. Leider konnten wir aufgrund des Regens von dort keine Wanderung beginnen, hier bieten sich aber viele Möglichkeiten.

Miejsce położone przepięknie, wśród gór, w dolinie, więc prawie nie wieje. Droga sprawiła nam wielką przyjemność, widoki obłęd, ale długo się jedzie. Wszędzie czysto, gospodarze mili. Są prysznice, toalety, zlewy na zewnątrz. Brakuje wspólnego miejsca i kuchni pod dachem (jest tylko jaskinia z ławami i stołami :)). Z tego miejsca zaczyna się kilka szlaków. Wspaniałe doświadczenie!

Schedule at least two nights here, since the area is out of this world, but the road there is bumpy. The road leading to the camp is pretty scary the first time you take it, but definitely doable. We took it in a 2wd auto camper, and it was alright. The scenery along the road alone is worth the trip. No internet and very little phone connection since it is in the middle of the mountains.

Es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt diesen Platz anzufahren. Die Straße dorthin ist holprig aber malerisch - wirklich ein Traum. Der Platz selber ist auch super. Duschen sind im Preis inklusive und 24/7 offen. Personal an der Rezeption total freundlich. Zahlung mit Karte ist kein Problem.

The way getting here is spectacular with 4x4. Amazing views of this area. The place itself was also amazing. Hot showers, clean toilets, surrounded by waterfalls and green hills. No common room but a common cave where you can grill, cook, hangout. We also went on a hike to see a glacier. Manager of the camp was also very kind.

Beautiful! Road difficult but doable. Only 3G connection with the external antenna of the van.

Unfassbar schöne Anfahrt - holperig! Gut machbar auch für normale Autos. Und sehr schön gemachter Campingplatz - zum Glück noch geöffnet bis Ende September.

Une nuit dans un cadre magnifique, entouré par les montagnes. La route en camper est un peu sportive mais cela fait aussi partie de la beauté du lieu car on passe des endroits à couper le souffle ! L'accueil au camping par Adam est très agréable et les sanitaires propres. Peu de monde en cette fin septembre, ça laisse le choix dans la place !

Environnement magnifique entouré de montagnes, une vraie récompense à l'arrivée après 15km de piste ! (fait en camping-car, quelques virages un peu "limite" mais par temps sec ça passe... probablement plus compliqué par temps pluvieux). Accueil sympathique, sanitaires très propres mais seulement 2 douches (matin ou soir il faut patienter). Espace commun original dans une grotte.

Dans en environnement exceptionnel, plusieurs départs de randonnées aux paysages somptueux. Un bémol pour seulement 2 Douches assez spartiates et de l électricité pas assez puissante pour frigid de camping car.

Trajet absolument magnifique avec la vue sur le glacier du volcan Katla. Piste caillouteuse sans passage de gué ni ornières faisable avec une voiture , van ou fourgon non 4*4, compter 50mn de trajet. Chemin accidenté avec parfois des fortes côtes , donc vérifier la météo pluie. Camping dans un endroit féerique, par contre queue vraiment trop longue aux douches le soir et eau à peine tiède.

Magnifique lieu! l'un des plus beaux de l'île pour nous... Toilettes très propres. Une unique douche... eau chaude à la vaisselle. lieu commun avec barbecue dans une grotte!!! Accueil très agréable et plein d'humour!! L' accès n'est pas aisé mais faisable avec un trafic aménagé non 4*4. Départ de rando tous niveaux.

Auf unserer Island Umrundung der mit großem Abstand wunderschönste Campingplatz. Der Betreiber ist unfassbar nett und die sanitären Einrichtungen sowie die Spülmöglichkeiten waren super organisiert, ausreichend und vor allem sauber! Es gibt einige Wanderwege und direkt an der Camping Wiese ein kleiner Pfad der zu einem schönen Wasserfall führt. Wir waren mehr als begeistert!

Coincido con todos los comentarios ( positivos) los que pongan alguna pega es que no son personas para este tipo de camping. Venir y disfrutar, poco más. El recepcionista encantador. Imagino que debe acompañar el tiempo para recorrer los 16 kms hasta aquí, nosotros con una camper sin 4 x 4 y con mucha paciencia. Hay una cueva adaptada. Si hay buen tiempo mejor fuera, mucho olor a humo.

Wunderschöner Campingplatz! Anfahrt ist es schon wert! 2300 ISK pro Person ohne Strom. Duschen und WCs sauber und im Preis inbegriffen. Vom Platz gehen verschiedene Wanderwege los, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Der Platz ist von steilen Hügeln umgeben und bietet keine besondere Aussicht. Um den Warteschlangen vor der Dusche zu entgehen, habe ich morgens um 5 Uhr geduscht. Der Betreiber ist nett und gibt auch Tipps für den Aufenthalt. Die Zufahrt ist etwas ruppig, aber auch für große Wohnmobile möglich.

I went during the off season so the facilities were closed but the drive in is magical and absolutely worth it. My favorite camp site so far!! I would suggest a 4x4 to get there. Highly highly recommended!!

Difficult road but doable even with small car without issues. Great camp, almost empty mid September. The water was hot but showers could be cleaner/upgraded.

Merveilleux camping dans lequel nous avons passé 2 nuits. Des sanitaires modernes et propres, une jolie grotte éclairée à la bougie et équipée d'un poêle pour les repas. Il y a de beaux sentiers de randonnées au départ de ce camping.

AMAZING campsite. Shower house was nice- with hot water. Showers on one side and toilets on the other. The cave was great and had candles lit for cooking and eating. The receptionist was very kind

Wunderschöner Campingplatz er gilt für mich als einer der schönst gelegenen Campingplätze Islands mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf die Berge, sehr nette Besitzer, Sanitäranlagen sind sauber es gibt 2 duschen, in dem Tal gibt es jedoch keine Netz fürs Handy, vom Campingplatz kann man tolle Wanderungen mit Sicht auf den Gletscher machen ,Anfahrt auf Schotter mit viel Hügeln nichts für womos über 6m

Greatest Campside with the best view ever. There are many great walks around it so you should spend some time there. The road to the camping ground is miraculous and awesome but you have to have confidence to drive a gravel road, we did it with our camper van without 4x4. Bathrooms are basic, unfortunately the showers have only a bit of warm water, but the view and location makes up for it.

tolle Lage! Sanitäreinrichtung mit 2 duschen und 3 Waschbecken etwas zu wenig.

schon die Anfahrt hat 5 Sterne verdient! Coole Piste durch Felsen, Grün und Schwarz, und wenn man glaubt,es komme nichts mehr, ist man da. Wunderbare Lage am Ende eines grün-schwarzen Tales. Es hat alles was man braucht, netter Empfang, genug Platz und einfache, zweckmässige Ausstattung.

Been here twice (July 2019 and June 2020) and both times it was one of our favorite campsites of the trip. Not a very crowded place, as it is off the ring road. The road to get there is a little rough but beautiful, undisturbed Icelandic nature. The view and atmosphere is like nothing else. Facilities are ok too.

Nous avons dormi dans ce camping hors-saison. Pas de difficulté pour y passer la nuit. Les installations et commodités n'étaient pas accessibles, mais l'endroit est véritablement enchanteur et la route vaut vraiment le détour !

It was after season - the facilities were closed, when we were here (10/21), but totaly worth it. We spent the night above the camp to watch the northern lights. Amazing views and nature.

Totalne odludzie. Wyboista ale malownicza droga do kampingu. Czyste, zadbane toalety i prysznice, sporo miejsca. Brak kuchni, jest moejsce do zmywania naczyń. Kamping zaadoptował jaskinję na jadalnię, około 5 sześcioosobowych stołów. Super wygląda nocą. Możliwość higkingu. Pomimo braku kuchni zasługuje na 4,5-4,75 gwiazdki z racji położenia i wrażeń dojazdowych.

Very expensive, but the facilities are not great. it wasn't that busy when we were here and there was still a queue 3 people deep for the showers. while it's very cool that the common area is in a cave, it's not that practical and is very dark and cold.

Un cadre magnifique après une route "panorama" (faisable en van standard) il est possible de faire le repas dans la cave, un lieu mémorable

Tolle Gegend Schöne aber ruppige Anfahrt. Wir würden 4x4 empfehlen, aber Straße ist für alle Fahrzeuge freigegeben. 2 Duschen und 4 Toiletten (unisex), war ok mit Sauberkeit Eine alte Lavahöhle dient als Aufenhaltsraum

Great spot and worth the drive!

Un des meilleurs camping qu'il nous ait été donné de faire en Islande. Le cadre est exceptionnel mais se mérite (14km d'une route en gravier avec des passages assez compliqués si l'on est pas équipé d'un 4x4) Douche chaude gratuite, sanitaires assez propres, propriétaires du camping très sympas et lieu incroyablement beau. Bref on recommande

Campsite just as beautiful as the road there. There's a lovely cave with a stove to spend time and cook. Bring some time for the journey there, but it's worth it.
