Terrible experience. Very busy until just before 9, then everybody left. so far so good. However no one came to lock the gate and lots of cars arrived at about 9.30 and the rave began. Not happy. We left.
Bel endroit, altitude avec vue magnifique au-dessus de la ville et de la vallée, pourrait être utilisé comme aire de pique-nique sur l'herbe. parfois très venteux
Great location to look across Huddersfield and surrounding areas lovley views ideal stop off quit location
Schöner Ort auf schöner Höhe mit herrlichem Blick über die Stadt und das Tal. könnte als Picknick auf dem Rasen verwendet werden. manchmal sehr windig

Technically no campers allowed at the summit but the Security guard was fine. The car park is locked at 9pm in summer and opens at 7am. I had the place to myself and it's magnificent. There's a smaller car park lower down with space for maybe 2 or 3 vans.
Nice flat space. At 9 pm, the security came and told us that he would close the gate. We told him we would stay the night. he said it's ok. He opened the gate at 7 am. it was a quiet night.
schöner, windiger Ort, geeignet für WoMo Übernachtung, allerdings Auffahrt äußerst schmal und Gegenverkehr, keine Leistung außer Müllkörbe
Trouble with anti social behaviour so the access road is now gated
Narrow tight road to Victoria Tower (Castle Hill) is now gated and locked at night to prevent anti-social behaviour.
Great place overnight god views a little windy and glad I didn’t meet anyone driving up
I live in Huddersfield and know the area well ! Although you can park up on castle hill be aware there are signs saying no overnight camping , also if your in a large motorhome the access road is tight and a very sharp corner on a 1/4 hill , also dogging implications ha ha ! It is a fantastic view and sadly the pub that was there is gone many a happy night up there
The view is absolutely stunning. You can see why the Iron Age people built their fort here. There is a Council No Overnight/Camping sign and their are visits from enforcement officers to address 'dogging' compalinnts.
