Spacious and beautiful place, however, it doesnt have waste water drain, the bathrooms are portable and they were taken away on the next day at 11 am (?), it was a Monday so maybe that’s when they clean them. The drinking water tap doesnt have adapter.
Just stunning in the heart of Cannock Chase Not toilets but it has an Elson Point 5 / 10 mins from supermarkets for supplies Highly recommend
This is a great stopover site on longer trip up north or down south or a weekend or full week visit to the area. Good access from motorway M6 j13 Penkridge. Choice of hard standing or grass pitches. Site has all basic facilities. Several Cafe eating places within hiking distance. Main supermarkets in Rugeley 2 miles Good mobile and tv reception from local GPO tower by Deutsche SoldatenFrieidhof.
An excellent site in the very peaceful Cannock Chase. No EHU or toilets so self-contained vans only. Plenty of level hard standing under the ground cover as it’s a former military base. Easy to book and the friendly warden met us on arrival. Okay phone signal (EE) and good tv signal too.
Beautiful, quiet spot underneath majestic fir trees. Paid £22 for the night. Site promptly sent us the code for the locked gate. Park anywhere you wish. Fresh water and Black water waste disposal on site. No EHU, toilets or showers so only suitable for self contained vans. Right in the heart of Cannock Chase with plenty of footpaths and bike trails in the immediate area. Will definitely return.
Endroit apaisant. Très belle pinède. Beaucoup d’espace entre les mobilhomes, il devait y en avoir une dizaine et cela ne s’est pas senti.
This is a unique place to stay and the actual campsite area is lovely. For me however hearing traffic spoilt the sense of staying in a forest. We also felt the area is better for cyclists than walkers as the mountain bike trails were clearly marked unlike the walking routes. Glad we experienced it though as being amongst such tall trees was amazing! And the dog loved squirrel spotting!!
One of my favourite campsites, simple, surrounded by trees, with so many trails for walking and running. This is my third visit and it does not disappoint!
Very nice and quiet, in the middle of the forest, lots of squirrels and only a few campers. No sanitary but quite cheap, totally worth it.
Toller Platz mitten in der Natur zwischen hohen Bäumen. Wer Naturcamping mag wird begeistert sein. Versorgung und WC muss man selbst dabei haben, also perfekt für CamperVan. Entleerung WC-Kassette möglich. MTB-Strecken starten direkt vom Platz aus. Buchung über Website und Zusendung Einlass-Code war unkompliziert, selbst kurz vor Anreise. Wir würden wiederkommen und mehr Tage hier verbringen.
Safe and secure place to park up in the cannock chase right on the MTB routes. Paid £15 for the early bird price which means no alterations or cancellations. Only three other people staying, all quiet and very spread out. Would return again without a doubt.
£25 for the night, booked ahead via pitch up. Provided with gate code by email. Arrived at 10am, beautiful area and clean. Only 3 other people on site. We left early at 8am due to schedule but would definitely return. A little soggy in places so take appropriate shoes if going soon.
Beautiful site in woodland, miles of walks & cycle tracks. Nice & secure with small shop. Recently they’ve installed trailer toilets & a trailer shower which is first class.

This is a run by Forestry England, although you wouldn't know that because we didn't see anybody. We booked and paid online, and were emailed the code for the gate padlock. It's easy to find, and is just a beautiful clearing in the forest. The only facilities are toilet emptying and fresh water. There is a mountain biking trail that runs through the site. We were the only van, on a Monday in July
Sehr schöner Camping. Wir standen eine Nacht als Early Bird (dann nur 15£) Wasser und Entsorgung möglich. Rest geht nur autark. Von hier aus kann man wunderbar Fahrradtouren oder Wanderungen starten.
Fantastic and very quiet spot in a middle of a forest. No open fires allowed but three fresh water points and 2 elson points. Few Hard parking spaces available but rest in the woodland so can be uneven as you would expect in a forest. Paid £20 but we’ll worth it and will stay again and enjoy the forest walks.
Oh wow! Simple, beautiful and so quiet… Lovely walks for the dog and a tranquil setting. We were planning on a stop over only but stayed an extra night just to completely relax in this lovely environment. Be self sufficient but they’ve the disposal area, bins and drinking water. Couldn’t ask for more. PS if your into mountain biking, bring those bikes and enjoy, the tracks look fantastic!
Stunningly beautiful site with water & facilities for rubbish & loo waste. Lots of gorgeous walks, runs, mountain biking from site. Lots of room to spread out but even so, other motor homes have a habit of parking ridiculously close! Perfect location if you’re going to a Forest Love event, as it’s only a mile from the site.
