Free parking in the forest. At the entrance to the parking lot, it says "Open from dawn to dusk", but it's still open. Lots of walks start here which are all signposted.

Spent the night there recently, beautiful location, peaceful until 6.30 when I got woken by a bunch of noisy trail bikers parked right next to me. no checks from wardens, maybe because of covid.

Spent a couple of nights here. didn't get disturbed by any rangers,but is a popular carpark for local youths gathering and smoking, especcialy on weekends

No overnight parking sign now up & patrolled by rangers. Apparentlywo vans were here pretty much permanently and leaving loads of mess so they had to ban overnighting. Shame.
