Great spot to park for the day with amazing views and walks. Lots of signs for no overnight parking.

Floor level at the edge of a small busy street, directly on the lake. Very nice view of the surrounding mountains of the Lake District National Park. Good starting point for hikes. Forbidden to spend the night

KLM12309/06/2022There are signs saying that no overnight camping is permitted. Wardens will move you on. There are campsites in the area, just use them, most cost on average £10 - £15 per person per night so contribute something to the local economy. Farmers in particular get very angry about the excrement of people not wanting to pay for a campsite. You will be reported and moved on. Don’t do it!

Definitely no camping allowed on SSI around here. Wardens and locals will move you on.

Beautiful views, we got there really late and stayed the night in our van but got told off in the morning. Site of significant interest so Karens are watching in this area and reporting on visitors.

Beautiful spot, however there are numerous signs saying no overnight parking with mobile LED warning sign saying ‘wardens on patrol’

My absolute favourite spot to camp in the Lakes! Wastwater is stunning! There are several large laybys right next to the lake, quiet at night, I was the only one there. No signs to say no overnight parking, no one about to say otherwise either. Quiet road, barely half a dozen vehicles passed me over night.
