nice spot shame no over night aloud, brilliant for day parking

There are signs up saying no overnight parking and carport closes at 8pm

It's a lovely spot and really quiet.... when the trains aren't running past! But they are pretty frequent and fast, not massively loud but enough to keep me awake. However the Bell Inn pub landlady was so nice when we visited, she said we could have stopped in her car park if we wanted to. So that might be worth investigating if you preferred (wet sales only, but Co-op next door).

Perfect spot for overnight to or from Cornwall. Lovely walks along the canal. A few late evening visitors but no noise or hassle. No litter bins here and we spent a while picking up others' rubbish, so please leave tidy. By the way the address given is misleading and takes you to a housing estate on the other side of the canal. Just follow the signs in the village for canalside parking.

Quiet spot, a few doggers in the early evening, and teens later on doing whatever they do on a Friday night. No 4G at all, and trains audible, but last train seems to have been 11.30pm. Woke at 7. 30 with a train passing.

A really great little spot - perfect for an overnight stop on route from North Devon to Surrey. Very sheltered (we were there during Storm Alex) and whilst you can hear the trains they aren't very invasive.

Super little spot right by the canal. If you have bikes cycle to Taunton or a longer route to Bridgewater. The Bell is 5 mins up the road and a small shop has all the provisions you need. Trains stop at 10 ish and start 5am. very very quiet, sheltered from the wind but be mindful there’s are tress around so be careful not to scratch your sky lights or solar panels. Keep the place tidy

A lovely spot - well signed from the village and easy to find although it feels like you're driving towards a dead end. Arrived just after 8pm to find only 2 cars. Went to the furthest end of the car park (do watch some of the low hanging branches). Quite level. No traffic noise or noise from others, just a few trains that go by, even at 3am and 5am. Felt quite safe and would recommend.

Pulled up at 9pm on a Friday night already 4 vans there but we fitted in fine. It is right next to a footpath on the canal but nice and quiet. There is a train line near and I think we heard the last train at 11 and the first at 6am but it wasn’t an issue. Also the phone signal/4G was intermittent at best, just in case you need it. Good spot

Great little gem! Parked up and stayed one night...no problems at all

Pulled up late Friday night, in dark. Yes have to be careful with low branches - quite night with busy morning dog walkers and people using canal.... ssh just don’t tell everyone. Will use again

Pulled in around 10pm on a warm august night. I have a massive be crafter camper and I got in here no problems. Great spot

Lovely peaceful night, police came around at about 10pm but didn't say anything so are obviously happy with people parking here on. We parked at the furthest end of the car park so were far away from the occasional car coming in the night.

Great place to stay the night or more just a few teenagers a night with their usual goings ons

I have a 6mtr motorhome. wouldn't suit anything bigger. very quiet spot next to canal (private fishing) but no view from car park, just trees.

Lovely little car park right next to the canal. Views of the canal in certain areas of the car park but if not then lovely bench and trees. Was super quite overnight just 3 vehicles here and no sound except the birds. Got busier in the morning with dog walkers but still awesome little place to stay.

Lovely quiet spot plenty of spaces for campervans rather than motorhomes

Lovely quiet place to stay. Picnic tables and benches. No other amenities. Good for dog walking.

A fantastic location right on canal. 4 mile walk into Taunton along canal. Very quiet, dog walking location. Nothing bigger than 2.5 height though due to low branches.

It is a lovely spot! forgot to mention the railway track though...

Beautiful spot, great flat parking area surrounded by trees, right by the canal. the trees overhang more the further in you go but we had a high roof transporter and just about fit. Afew local kids turned up in a couple of cars for a hang out but didn't cause any trouble and it was quiet from about 11. Lovely place. No facilities
