Eccleston Ferry Carpark - We have had a peaceful free night next to the river. Open end of road parking, no restrictions. No facilities. Dog walking at 2-3 miles from Chester centre. Few cars come and go early evening and early morning.

Bollards have gone but signs with a list of rules in place including no overnight camping. Rural police were there when we arrived. Beautiful spot and suitable for wild swimming, launching SUP etc, though it gets extremely busy.

At the moment they have put concrete bollards on one side to reduce amount of parking due to covid restrictions. Makes it really difficult for a camper van to turn around. Had it not been for a helpful fisherman I probably would have had to reverse all the way up the hill. It is a nice place though. No facilities but perfect for wild camping

Nice level spot by the river and woods. A lot of visitors at 3am & 6am onwards..

Nice car park at the river. In the morning crowded with dogwalkers and canoeists. Good footpath along the river.

Merci pour ce bel endroit au bord de la rivière. Des promeneurs, pécheurs ou des gens faisant du kayak sont présents jusque vers 21h. Ensuite calme total jusqu'au matin
