lovely little park up, no over night but £3 all day, can use card or parking app so easy. recommend walking down locks on car park side then back up on lock side, watching boats lovely little cafe at top

Don’t bother. Park at Station Road car park in Devizes. It is short ish walk to locks and for £4.50 you can park all day and overnight. Much better value and close to lots of pubs and shops.

  • 2/5

Beautiful place to visit but be aware that the parking rules have changed. Now no overnight stays permitted and £40 fine for overnighting. A parking meter has now been installed and parking is £3 for the day which is good value. Such a shame as we have stayed many times before and always paid. Less and less places welcome motor-homer’s.

Went up at the weekend. Doesn’t actually say no overnight but you agree to a charge of £40 if you park overnight. Parking machine now in place, card only. Decided to take a chance as we had a bbq watching the wonderful sunset but left no trace. Just waiting to see if we get a charge through the post. Not the end of the world if we do but next time may stay down the hill in the wood and walk up.

New signs up. £3 per day and wording that says ‘If you park you agree to pay a Parking Charge Notice of £40 if you park in the carpark overnight’ No cameras or visible signs of monitoring. Pay at cafe still.

  • 2/5

Glennrichards is correct. New signs £3 per day no overnight. Pay at machine ( no machine yet as of 18 April ) £40 fine. There is a brand new barrier at the bottom of the approach road. Half a dozen camping cars ignored new signs but didn't fancy doing so. Looks like the end of a lovely 3 nighter!

Unfortunately now changed, sign says £3 day parking and no overnight parking or risk £40 fine. Spoke to local cafe who take the money and they were not aware of the change and had an honesty box for parking. Spoke to staff in the adjacent Canal Basin office who said still ok to park overnight so all a bit confusing.

Wonderful place, arrived on boxing day, was only going to stay overnight, cost would have been £8 for one night or £10 for 72 hrs, so decided to stay 3 nights instead all for an extra £2. nice flat and quiet parking area, no trouble from other site users, dog walkers, joggers, families definitely one of my favourite stop overs. Will be back thank you staff.

Lovely quiet spot next to the canal. Plenty of space for Motorhomes, pay at the cafe across the canal. 30 mins walk into Devizes. Canal has a good footpath to walk along as well. Spar shop about 10 min walk away towards Devizes which is signposted off the tow path. Would recommended

A great place to stop over a couple nights. paid £10 for 2 nights, or £8 per night. nice to see the 16 locks being used by narrow boat enthusiasts. the cafe was selling lovely ice creams at very reasonable prices. obviously covid had predominantly closed the cafe, but eating outdoors. gets busy when the sun shines. and a great place to walk or cycle.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot overlooking the locks. Short walk into Devizes to explore the old town. £8 for one night, or £10 for upto 3 nights! lovely walks both ways up or down the canal.

Lovely quiet spot, cafe doesn’t appear to be open in the week off season.

  • 5/5

Spent a lovely 2 nights here for £10. Please ensure your litter goes into the bins provided or take it home with you. Also please pay the small sum asked as this benefits the charity and keeps the canal looking beautiful for us all to enjoy. Those people who arrive after the cafe has closed and leave first thing in the morning to avoid paying should be ashamed of themselves, yes you know who you are! Keep up the good work volunteers, this is a special place

Overnighting is accepted whilst motorhomes leave no trace. £8 for a night and £10 for 2. payable at the cafe open from 10.30 till 5. please try to make the payment as it goes towards the locks charity. plenty of room. 10 mins walk to a pub and 15 mins walk to Devizes. views over towards the locks from front row pitches. very clean portaloo on the car park. please leave no sign that you stayed.

Visited today in the car whilst out and about, confirmed with the Cafe that overnight camping IS allowed. £8 for overnight or £10 for 48hrs, all payable at the café. Fantastic location, horrible speed humps to get to car park.

  • 4/5

Good car park with plenty of spaces. Good value we paid £10 for up to 72 hours. 20 minutes walk into Devizes. Nice cafe at the locks and a pub within 10 minutes. Can't fault it for an overnight stay.

  • 1/5

The Signal dass devinitly that YouTube cant stay overnight, so we drove on. Such a pity.

  • 3/5

From what the sign says, condition 6. If you overnight you will be charged £40. Or am I missing something
