Nach Sonnenuntergang fuhr die Polizei Streife und hat uns 4 Camper freundlich begrüßt und nicht weggeschickt. Tip: Eher entfernt von den Müllcontainern parken, die werden angezündet statt entsorgt. Fazit: perfekter Platz die alte Stadt im Abendlicht anzuschauen! Am besten 4 Stunden einplanen wenn man das ganze Areal begehen will (leichte ebene Wanderung).

les gendarmes nous ont interdit de rester apres la fermeture du site a 17h30 et nous ont renvoyé à la stations service a 10km. zone d'exclusion militaire apparemment...
La gendarmerie,aimablement,nous a, à 22h30, demandé de partir. C'est une zone militaire où il est interdit de camper. Elle nous a conseillé la station service en retournant sur Kars.
Aparcamiento para la visita a las ruinas, que son impresionantes! La entrada cuesta 100TL por persona y hay que dedicarle mínimo 2h para verlo todo. Hay niños en el parking pidiendo dinero y son bastante persistentes, pero en cuanto vieron a nuestro perro se fueron.
Enormous car park which we used for visiting Ani Ruins. Children selling crochet & asking for money were extremely persistent…banging on door, pulling at door handles but they soon lost interest & went to find others.
A large free car park by the ticket office to the town of Ani, there is a toilet and some local snack shop with coffee and tea. There are local children begging for money or trinkets like chewing gum in and around the car park. The ruins of the city are amazing, for me it is one of the most interesting places in Turkey.
Grosser, ziemlich vermüllter Parkplatz. Es gibt eine Polizeistation neben dem Ticketverkauf. Dort haben wir wegen einer Übernachtung auf dem Parkplatz gefragt. Geht leider nicht mehr, wegen irgendeiner neuen Regelung. Ist eben sehr nahe an der Grenze. Wir sind dann bis Kars weitergefahren, zum Stellplatz beim Käse Museum.
Exactly there and providing fresh water. Not seeing any sign indicating that it's not good for consumption.
