Alnwick,
National Trust land, Ross Castle. Grass parking at the side of quiet cul-de-sac road. Any traffic during the daytime is local farming vehicles, dog walkers and people visiting the nearby hillfort and/or the strange Cateran Hole (worth visiting if you can manage a 3 km walk on easy moorland paths.)
