Salema Eco Camp is the place of choice of those who love nature, surf, camping and caravanning.Sensitive to subjects like: ecology, slow living, recycling, planet preservation and environmental awareness, use solar energy to heat water and joined efforts to end plastic consumption by not selling bottles or any other plastic package (reuse bottles). The restaurant is called Nazari. Inspired by mediterranean cuisine, one of the healthiest in the world, the difference is felt in the ingredients, with seasonal products. There is an eco store where you can buy bread in the morning, fresh fruit and organic products. Here you can buy activities and rent surf material and mountain bikes.

Clean bathrooms and good hot free showers. Not suitable for large campervans as very steep in parts. Pitches can be muddy this time of year.

Camping super agréable ! Placement libre et il est tout en terrasses, beaucoup d’ombre, plus ensoleillé et sec sur le dessus (pour l’hiver c’est mieux). Installations récentes, sanitaires propres, douche chaude. Le restaurant est très sympa et c’est super bon. Le réseau est meilleur au dessus.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz. Sauber, gut ausgestattet, Strand in der Nähe und man steht zwischen den Bäumen auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen. Nur weiter zu empfehlen. Wer mehrere Tage bleibt erhält Rabatte.

Schönster Campingplatz!! Super grün & gepflegt, die Bäder sind nicht die allerneusten, aber sauber & völlig in Ordnung. Die Stellplätze sind durch Hecken abgetrennt. Insgesamt ist es angenehm ruhig auf dem Platz. Wer dort ist sollte auf jeden Fall im Restaurant essen- sowohl Frühstück, als auch Abendessen. Der Eco Shop ist auf jeden Fall auch einen Besuch wert. Alle Mitarbeiter sind super nett!

Schön und ruhig, saubere Sanitäranlagen mit warmen Wasser. Unbedingt weiter oben parken, der Blick ist viel schöner! Die Anstiege sind jedoch teils sehr steil, mit dem Van aber kein Problem.

Super schöner spot zum verweilen. Sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit bedacht und super freundliches Personal. Einchecken war auch nachdem die Rezeption geschlossen war möglich. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Surfen an der Süd-oder Westküste.

Der beste Campingplatz in Portugal bislang. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr leckeres Restaurant, sehr weitläufiges Gelände. Die Plätze weiter oben sind zu empfehlen. Weniger Mücken (im Oktober), schöner Sonnenaufgang und die moderneren Sanitäranlagen. Sehr entspannte und freundliche Atmosphäre. Für große > 7m und hohe > 3,2 m Fahrzeuge eher ungeeignet.

Schöner Campingplatz mitten in der Natur, aber leider nicht für größere Wohnmobile geeignet. Wir hatten mit unserem 7m Wohnmobil Probleme am steilen Anstieg mit der Bodenfreiheit und den Sträuchern.

Un camping extraordinaire, le personnel, gentil, accueillant, fait tout pour vous simplifier la vie. Urivall n à rien compris au camping, les femmes de ménage ne sont pas à sa disposition.... Camping perfecto para pasar unos días de tranquilidad en la zona... muy limpio tanto baños como zona de parcelas.. barbacoa a disposición del campista junto a los baños.. muy buen trato y buen precio... AC + dos adultos+ electricidad por solo 45€ 3 días... wifi, baños, descarga de grises y negras y carga de agua potable gratis... lavadora 5€

Very nice camping with new installations and special attention to recycling and solar energy. some steep slopes on the upper hills one might want to check prior with some vehicles. the bar staff are a bit too cool for school. the playground for kids is great

One of the best camping spots. Really friendly staff with a nice restaurant. Area feels a bit like wild camping because of different heights. Beach is just reachable via car.

Le camping semble avoir été rénové récemment et se revendique "eco-camp". Lea sanitaires sont propres. Nous avons payé 20€ pour un van et deux personnes (électricité comprise). Il y a un peu de passage sur la route qui passe à côté mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé.

Hochsaison (bis 15.9) 20€ für Bus und 2 Pers. inkl. allem. 4x am Tag gibt es einen kostenlosen Transfer zum Strand. Wir sind aber mit dem Rad oder mit dem Auto zu umliegenden kleineren Stränden gefahren. etwas wenige Toiletten und Duschen vorhanden. obereres kleines WC Haus ist gut und sauber. das untere etwas veraltet. Müll wird getrennt. Nettes Personal.

Sehr schön angelegter Campingplatz, mitten in der Natur. Je nachdem wo man steht, ca. 1,2 - 1,8 km zum Strand. Unterschiedliche Zonen ermöglichen Campingatmosphäre mit weniger oder mehr Lautstärke. Wir zahlten 20€ für zwei Personen und Van. Kommen gerne wieder.

Dormimos dos noches y súper bien. Muy buen trato. Diferentes zonas. Tu eliges dónde poner tu vehículo y tus cosas (tienda, mesas, etc...) Pagamos 24€/noche por: dos adultos coche tienda perro. Baños y duchas incluidos. No hay cobertura pero hay WiFi en el bar.

Muy contentos, 20 euros/noche 2 personas van. excelente servicio del staff y la comida del restaurante muy buena. Es acampada libre con lo cual no te asignan una parcela, pero en la zona alta siempre hemos encontrado sitio (con menos sombra y más viento pero más tranquilo). Tienen cabañas, tipis y bungalows.

Camping sin parcelas definidas donde acampar es un caos. Nos fuimos a la playa dejando unas sillas en lo que se supone era una parcela y al volver habían puesto una tienda. El responsable no quiso enfrentarse y nos hizo compartir la parcela. Los baños ni son nuevos ni están muy limpios. El sitio es tranquilo y tiene buena sombra.

Lieu très grand en pleine nature avec emplacements libres. Nuit calme avec un léger bruit venant de la route. Les sanitaires sont propres et rénovés. Je recommande particulièrement le restaurant pour son ambiance et ses très bon plats. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Magasin d’appoint en produit bio et portugais.

Beau camping bien arboré, placement libre, calme. 24 Euros la nuit pour un CC et 5 personnes. Douches chaudes, sanitaires neufs. Je recommande à 100%.

Ne pas prendre en compte les photos des douches et toilettes.Tous a été refait a neuf c'est un super camping placement libre et il est très grands, donc pas les uns sur les autres. il y a même des tentes lodge,des tipis et des bungalows. il y a tous les services et des douches chaudes. Nous avons payé 26€la nuit pour 4 personnes et un van. je recommande vivement.

We loved this spot! Few mobile homes, more vans and people sleeping in tents. Great atmosphere and the different smaller areas make it seem as if the camp ground wasn’t big at all. Very friendly staff and delicious food at the restaurant! Would definitely recommend it 100%!

Since the bad comments something must have changed. Nice camping, nice people, very clean. We rent a surfboard to give it a try at a beach nearby which is much cheaper than renting something directly at the beach. My recommendation for you ;-)

Site in nature, pick your own spot type of camp can get confusing as not clear if you’ll annoy other people if park next to them to get a flat spot. don’t recommend to motor home, hard to get around, tight curve and very hilly but enjoyed our stay, super quiet and huge sanitary block, bring your sandals though!!

Very difficult to navigate. Not recommended for larger units, we are 5m and occasionally found it difficult to navigate some tight turns into pitch areas. Lower site lots of trees so shady. Refurbished toilet block with very nice showers. Very clean though toilet bins not being emptied. Restaurant/bar looked very nice and we had a very friendly welcome. €16 with ACSI cheaper if stay 3 nights.

Just to add, the price lists shown in the pictures for the low season (between October and May) have been updated for 2020 - they are now only valid if you stay more than 3 nights otherwise you are charged the June and end-September prices if you stay for 1 night

We were recommended this place after the other campsite nearby turned us away for being too full. On arrival the lady here said they have “many available pitches” - the reason being is it’s more than double the price to stay here... €5.50 per person, €6.50 for a van and €3.50 for electric in the winter season! It’s worth mentioning that two other motor homes turned up at the same time and all three of us drove away. It’s a nice looking campsite with an eco shop and bar/restaurant but it is just out of our budget.

Really a nice and big camp with many different places and terasses. Drive up a bit in winter time. Down at the bottom it's cold and moisty (definitely good in summer I think). Sanitary is all well and clean.

Um oásis verde, num Algarve de auto-caravanas concentradas em áreas áridas sem árvores, esgotadas, cheias de europeus do norte à procura do sol. Integrado num parque natural está próximo de uma praia pouco turística, que recomendo.

Pro: Friendly staff and an overall well-kept, green campsite. Con: Unreliable reception times (we arrived at 18:30 with reception open until 20:00 but found noone there and had to be let in by security during their 22:00 round), roads and lots are narrow and the mosquitos are a real pain.

As you all can see bad comments are really bad .. but they are few . This new approach is not for everybody and some retarded heads that only look for cheap holidays and lots of consumis are not welcome .amazing spot ! That’s all . If you believe that a campsite is about nature and about people this is the place if you bring your problems to your Holliday’s this is not the place !

Wunderschöner Campingplatz! Super preis, Sanitäranlagen super (manche duschen haben allerdings nur Mini strahlen-da findet man schnell seine Lieblings Kabine), im Café/Restaurant leckeres Essen zu wirklich fairen Preisen! Der Strand vom Ort (1,5km) ist auch richtig toll! Wir sind eine Nacht länger geblieben weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Klare Empfehlung- auch mit Kindern geeignet, es gibt auch einen Spielplatz

Campsite was okay.. cheap with acsi card. €14 per night.. toilets are okay.. but the showers are shocking they dribble out and only half of them work. there is no signal there either there is a shop but you have to pre order your bread if want it..it will do for a stop off.

Am liebsten würde ich keinen Stern geben. Von den Damentoiletten waren zu 90% drei von vier vollgeschissen. Die Duschen sind eine Zumutung. Hier kommen drei Wassertropfen. Alles ist voller Mücken und es stinkt 24/7 nach Zoo. Spülen kann man auch nur mit kaltem Wasser. Wir haben für 2 Nächte mit Strom 28€ bezahlt.

Super (einfacher) Campingplatz! Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis top. Wir wollten anfangs nur eine Nacht bleiben, sind dann aber letztendlich drei Nächte geblieben. Uns gefiel es sehr gut. Mit dem Fahrrad zum Strand und Intermarche nur fünf Minuten (je nach Schnelligkeit). Der Strand ist sehr schön. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen. Als ADAC-Mitglied haben wir sogar einen Rabatt erhalten.

Large campsite with big terraces, wilder and larger than other campsites in Portugal, relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Mostly vegetarian food in the restaurant and shop. We really enjoyed our stay and would return. Situated in the wilder end of the Algarve close to some lovely beaches. Only drawback is the distance to the bathrooms from some pitches.

Amazing campsite in a beautiful location (near Salema beach). Lots of vegetation, good toilets (a new one in the top). The campsite was closed for rehabilitation works and opened last week. We where amazed by the new concept: an ecological camp, that minimises the environmental impact (they use solar energy, water saving policy, end the plastic consumption, and they use and sell organic and ecological products in the restaurant and in the shop. Its important nowadays to have touristic places that have this kind of concerns

Salema Eco Camp had rehabilitation works and opened last week. The campsite is beautiful in an amazing environment. New toilet block in the top, good restaurant and nice shop with ecological products, surf material, mountain bikes and e-bike rentals. This is the first campsite we visit throughout Europe with a truly ecological conscience!

Nice laid back site with plenty of space and options of parking sunny spots, shady spots or a mixture of both whichever suits you. Out of season not all services open and one or two toilet blocks closed however we were guided as to which areas to park up in near open toilet blocks. All felt natural and unspoilt and will definitely visit again. The only real issue can be the distance you have to walk to get to and from the site entrance if you park up at the top of the hill as site huge and can be maze like at times!

Der Platz ist günstig und die Mitarbeiter sind nett. Und der Strand von Salema ist schön. Aber der ganze Platz ist unübersichtlich, teils sehr schwer zugänglich und die schönen Plätze eher nur für kleine Vans zu erreichen. Der Weg zum Strand geht nur an der Straße lang. Die Sanitäranlagen sind mäßig, alles ein wenig schäbig. Also nicht wirklich empfehlenswert.

Site exceptionnel, emplacement très grand, silencieux après 20h, sanitaires irréprochables, avec eau chaude, douche spacieuse, très bons équipements. Prix pour camping-car, 2 personnes = 14.50 € meilleur camping que nous ayons fréquenté en Algarve !

Sehr nettes Personal und schöner Campingplatz. Wie bereits erwähnt ist er so groß und naturbelassen das man schnell vergessen kann das man sich auf einem Campingplatz befindet. Bei der Suche nach einem freien Platz merkt man jedoch das er unübersichtlichen ist. Die engen und teilweise steilen Wege sind für sehr große Camper eher schwieriger.

Eco-Camp Ist ein Campingplatz der besonderen Art im positiven Sinn. Der Platz ist so groß und unübersichtlich, dass man teilweise vergisst auf einem Campinplatz zu sein. Es gibt keine Parzellen bzw. Platznummern und man kann sich hinstellen wo man möchte. Wir standen hoch oben auf dem Hügel und hatten eine unglaubliche Ruhe, allerding dadurch etwas weiterer Fuß Marsch zu den Duschen (Unisex). Von Dienstag bis Samstag gibt es im eigenen Restaurant PIZZA-Night für 12€ und man kann so viel Pizza essen wie man will inklusive einem Freigetränk und live Musik. Alle WM Spiele wurden auch übertragen. was will man mehr? Nachteil sind die engen und steilen Zufahrtswege. für übergroße Campervans daher nicht unbedingt geeignet. Der Weg zum Strand führt leider nur entlang der Hauptstraße. Liebe Grüße Advanturelovers.de

Der Platz ist selbst für eine Nacht nicht zu empfehlen. Das einzige warme Wasser kommt aus der Dusche. Spülen, rasieren, Zähne putzen geht nur mit kaltem Wasser. Das Personal ist nett und freundlich, die Stellplätze unten sind dunkel und ungemütlich, die auf dem Berg sind OK.

Camping très calme et très agréable, bien ombragé, accueil très sympathique. Les sanitaires à l'autre bout du camping ne sont pas grand luxe mais propres et suffisants. je recommande ce camping en plein parc naturel et à 15 mn de la plage.

Precioso y tranquilo camping. Natural en todos los sentidos ya que ofrece la opción de zona naturista. Cuidado con los árboles y carreteras dentro de él, te puedes ver en apuros con la AC. La playa está a unos 2'5 kms y su ruta única es la carretera.

Nice camping spot close to the very nice Salema beach. The restaurant is really nice but the setup quite confusing with signs for different areas not matching at all the map they give you at reception. We were on a spot in front of one of the small apartment building so got the convenience but not the eco/nature feel, but the more unpleasant aspect was the white light staying on all night long on the building alley... The toilets and showers are not up to standards, no paper tool in the toilets, doors not closing to the bottom and way too little cabins vs number of people. I still recommend the spot for the restaurant and safety feel but would go more with a tent than vans or at least in the back of the camp not near entrance. Avoid coming at night as the site is really huge and complicated to navigate.

Pas d'accord avec les commentaires dithyrambiques ce camping n'est pas du tout adapté aux camping-cars. Passages très étroits, nombreuses côtes et virages très serrés sur 15 hectares. Parfait pour les randonneurs avec des tentes. A éviter en camping-car. .

Très bien et propre grands emplacements et quasiment personne lors de notre passage. On recommande le Resto Sao Lourenco dans Salema. Très bonne cuisine portugaise de la mer. N'hésitez pas à réserver !

La zone en fond vallon est fraîche et bien ombragée, bruyante à cause des va-et-vient des tracteurs d'entretien à partir de 9h le matin. Le reste ressemble à du camping sauvage sur la colline pentue, sympa mais chaud et éloigné des sanitaires. Plage agréable, 10 minutes à vélo.

Coin de paradis, pas cher, 15 € pour un van et 2 personnes, sanitaires propres, personnel sympa. Tous les emplacements sont ombragés, restaurant super bon. Épicerie (jamais mangé des oranges aussi bonnes) pas loin (1 km) de la plage de Salema. et un peu plus loin 2 superbes plages Zavial et Burgau. Coins tranquilles loin de la foule de Lagos. et en plus un Intermarché pas loin. Pour moi meilleur camping et coin de tout l'Algarve (non je ne suis pas payé par eux) pour ceux qui recherchent des endroits jolis et peinards.
