Stayed overnight on Sunday 9th July 2023. The car park was very busy during the day with people visiting the nearby aquarium but we were the only vehicle overnight. Very peaceful! If you are here on a weekend there is live music in the Fiddlers Green pub on Saturday and in the leprechaun on Sunday evening. We had a brilliant night in the leprechaun, friendly locals and a great pint of Guinness
The address is incorrect - follow signs for Exploris Aquarium and follow the road ( Ropewalk ) to the end, passing a disused camping site. Quiet location, public toilets a 30 second walk away. As the description says, lots of spaces, many level and solid concrete areas for barbeques etc. Highly recommended.
As council car parks go, this is very good. Locals weren’t impressed with the trees being cut to make it. This spot is classed as the over-flow area, buts it’s so peaceful. Couple of lovers cruised round it last night, but no hassle at all. Very quite and out of the way. Public toilet at the entrance, we dumped our waste in it no problem, only 20p to use.
