Sawley is a beautiful village. Stopped overnight as saw it on this app (without fully reading reviews). I was told by a local that there is no overnight parking in the morning as we hadn't seen the sign when we arrived as it was very late . The Eagle pub further up allows you to stay in their car park but I think you have to eat there.

Big sign saying no overnight parking so maybe locals are not so happy after all!

Lovely place to park in a quiet village. Please keep in mind that the locals don't mind over night parking but need the carpark for bookings during the day. Village hall, car park, and playground are all maintained by the villagers and their donations of time and money. If you do stay here, please make a donation to keep this area funded for the local community. Donation box is in playground.

My first night out in my camper RegtheRenault. Coming across this app has been a godsend. The carpark was quiet and the views just stunning.
