I love that place… one of the strongest places in Scotland for me also. Just only powerplants are little bit loud.

Endroit très calme. Passage d'une voiture de police en début de soirée. Puis aucune circulation la nuit. Les éoliennes ne dérangent pas . Parfait pour une étape. Max 3 cc. Possibilité de balades vers les cairns ou le parc éolien. Pas poubelle, emporter ses déchets.

Nice quiet spot for the night, shared the space with another van. We weren't bothered by the sound of the turbines at all and enjoyed the walk up to the Cairns in the evening. Great for the ferry in Scrabster nice and early for the morning crossing as it is only 15minutes away but we avoided all the more built up areas.

De weg naar deze parkeerplaats is een single track road. Zeer rustige plek, met wandelmogelijkheden in het windmolenpark (Ballie Wind Farm Ltd). Ruimte voor 2, max 3 kampeerbussen.

Great little child/dog friendly spot hidden back from the main road. Dog walk just cross the road, taking you up to see the Cairns.

Very peaceful with only 2 cars and a tractor passing last night, very windy though due to the wind farm behind.

Lovely quiet spot, was empty all night with no traffic on the road at all. Only issue we had is that it got very windy at night (next to a wind farm) and we had a disturbed sleep because of it.

Lovely spot, very quiet in the evening. 7am was filled with beeping from passing traffic and someone taking the time to howl. Little odd.

Quiet place to stop for the night. Not much traffic after 9pm, some in the morning after 7/8am. Used chucks to level, no midges, slightly windy, there’s a footpath opposite

We screwed up on our plan and couldn’t find anywhere in Thurso and so we drove down the little lanes to this recommendation , little car park on edge of woods, very secluded no passing traffic and is actually really nice, now for the tea on !!
