Lovely little stop we arrived friday night late and we went into the pub staff were really friendly and lovely atmosphere we paid £20 for the night the only reason for the 4 star is if there was toilets outside of the pub it would of made a big difference other than that really quiet and lovely stop over .
Overall a very lovely place, friendly staff and excellent food, the chocolate brownie was delicious, would have been a 5 star had the showers and toilets been open, plus the cockerel waking us up at 5am, but really is a nice friendly place. Would definitely stay again.
Très bon plan. L’arrière du pub est agréablement aménagé. Bornes avec électricité et eau. Eaux noires et grises. Le tout est bien fait. L’électricité était en panne le soir mais a été rétabli. L’accès à plus gros qu’un fourgon (campervan) me paraît hasardeux. £15
Stayed for 1 night, £15 to stay in the car park, 1 toilet within the pub to use within there hours, busy place, recommend booking to eat, food was pricey and pretty average, but we could eat it at the van, dog friendly, kids play area and lots of grassed area, site was gravel and flat, water & electric hook up, small deli/shop. Conniston boating centre 15 min drive.
Think £25 is very steep for what is essentially a car park. Wasn’t what we expected when we arrived. It’s very busy all day up to till 11pm people coming and going, no privacy at all from patrons using the pub. We could hear music from the marque, smokers using camping area to chat and during the night noise from the refrigerator unit for the marque keeping us awake. Too expensive for what it is.
This looks like a lovely little spot, the pub was very busy - had to queue to speak to the bar staff, which I can only assume is a good sign. I asked if we could stay without hook up or services but they charge a flat fee of £25 which includes services (electric hookup/toilets/showers/water etc.) which we didn’t need and is a bit steep for us full timers so we stayed in a school car park near by.
Stopped here on 01/08/21. pulled in late at night. the place couldn’t have been more welcoming! great site. great food and very helpful.
