Vans uniquement (nous avons un T5). Une vue imprenable sur les Météores et la campagne environnante. Empruntez le chemin de gravier à l'arrière du monastère. Légère pente mais nous avons dormi sans problème sans choks. Service 4g complet mais rien d'autre, alors préparez-vous. Il y avait aussi quelques autres zones autour de nous qui pourraient également fonctionner pour passer la nuit.
Vans only (we've a T5). Amazing views of Meteora and surrounding countryside. Take the gravel path at the back of the monastery. Slight incline but we slept no problem without choks. Full 4g service but nothing else, so come prepared. There was also another few areas around us that could also work to stay overnight.
Nur Vans (wir haben einen T5). Herrliche Aussicht auf Meteora und die umliegende Landschaft. Nehmen Sie den Schotterweg im hinteren Teil des Klosters. Leichte Steigung, aber wir haben kein Problem ohne Drosseln geschlafen. Full 4g Service, aber sonst nichts, also seien Sie vorbereitet. Es gab noch ein paar Bereiche um uns herum, die auch funktionieren konnten, um über Nacht zu bleiben.
Solo furgonetas (tenemos una T5). Impresionantes vistas de Meteora y el campo circundante. Tome el camino de grava detrás del monasterio. Ligera pendiente pero dormimos sin problema sin ahogos. Servicio completo de 4g pero nada más, así que prepárate. También había algunas otras áreas a nuestro alrededor que podrían funcionar para pasar la noche también.

Road isn’t closed, several options to stand but not perfectly level. The stones have been removed or there was a misunderstanding. Either way there are at least two roads to reach this place bypassing the parking lot of the monastery. 3 if you have a 4WD and 4 if you’re by motorcycle.
L'accès par le monastère (passer devant le monastère et prendre le chemin qui part derrière) n'est plus possible car le chemin a été bloqué avec un énorme tas de pierres.. Des personnes du monastère nous ont d'ailleurs crié "the road is closed". Nous ne savons pas s'il existe un autre accès. Le monastère est par ailleurs très joli mais partiellement en travaux.
The place was quite good and the views in the sunrise were amazing i was in January and it was pretty cold but everyone should consider the weather as my VW T5 almost slipped down on the road as it's a bit complicated from the forest if you can manage from the monastery is super okay and worth spending the night
Was für eine Aussicht! Quasi in alle Richtungen. Einfach fantastisch. Der Hügel hinter dem Kloster hat einen Schotter Rundweg, wo man an mehreren Stellen stehen könnte. Keinerlei Versorgung, keine Strasenhunde, kein Lärm. Manchmal hört man den Gesang der Nonnen rüber wehen, sonst nur Vogelgezwitscher. Herrlich.
Spent a nice quiet evening here, not a soul in sight. You can enter through the monastery parking as well, but they close the gate 19:00-7:00.They have a gate from one side of the parking only. If you go around the monastery next to the gate is a small gravel road in good condition, but lot of overhanging trees. With big campers it is only possible if you dont mind some scratches.
wspaniałe miejsce i widoki! brak śmieci, cisza, spokój i przyroda! w przeciągu kilku dni spotkaliśmy tutaj tylko pasterza i jego kozy. obok klasztoru kosze, WC, możliwość wpięcia węża. proszę pozostaw to miejsce, jak je zastałeś :)
Très bon spot, au calme et avec une belle vue sur les meteores. Bien prendre la route au sud du monastère par contre. Au début le gps nous a fait passer par le chemin au départ de la ville de Theopetra mais il n’est pas praticable en van.
lovely views, you can find some flat spots if you continue and take the track to the left about 250m.
Top. Easy acces (100 meters of dirt road but not steep). Approach from the road south of the monestary, it's paved (not west!) otherwise you need a 4x4!! Only a man with 30 goats came by once in 2 days. Water and toilet (open 24/7) at te monestary. Great views. Nice area to take a walk.. Absolutely worth the 10 min drive from meteora!
Super Aussicht und absolute Ruhelage. Beim ca. 200m entfernen Kloster gibt es eine öffentliche Toilette, einen Wasseranschluss und Mülltonnen.
Wir standen hier Mitte Mai herrlich für eine Nacht. Leider nahmen wir die falsche Straße hoch. Diese war für unseren Grand California grenzwertig. Also bitte nicht die Straße von Theopetra Θεόπετρα nehmen. Der Ausblick hier oben ist herrlich.
On a tenter deux routes différentes pour arriver sur ce spot, mais le chemin en gravier etait quelques oeu boueux a certains endroits et il y avait de grosses flaque car il pleuvait beaucoup, on ne conseille pas ce spot si il pleut.
Jolie vue sur toute la vallée tout près d’un monastère que vous pouvez visiter gratuitement. On a été reçu avec des loukoums maisons délicieux. Le spot est agréable, pas du tout à l’ombre par contre, route pas du tout fréquentée. Extrêmement calme. Nous avons eu la visite d’une tortue de terre mais aussi d’une énorme araignée digne des pays tropicaux... on n’en tiendra pas rigueur pour ce spot qui est vraiment pas mal. On vous conseille de vous garer à côté du monastère avant la montée pour arriver sur le lieu indiqué sur le GPS. Ce sera plus plat et avec une meilleure vue.
Schöner ruhiger Platz. Unbedingt das Kloster besuchen. Sehr ruhig und abseits vom Rummel. Waren hier mit Peugeot Boxer Kastenwagen - für größere Fahrzeuge nicht geeignet. Die Aussicht ist genial. Mit dem MTB nach Kalambaka oder Meteora - genial.
