Höchster Punkt der Insel mit klasse Aussicht auf Meer und Land. Eine schöne Nacht hier verbracht

Great pitch up, nice and tidy place. Fantastic sunset and brilliant dark spot

    Very peaceful, great views

The better car park further along is now blocked off with gates which is a Shame . There are 4 others though that are great including this one . Gritty / muddy in rain but no problems with wheels sinking . A few cars come and go but no trouble . Great freeview and phone signal being so high up . Walks from the area , no facilities .

We stayed here for a night last week. Beautiful spot (although it was foggy most of the time we were there). Very quiet. Wonderfully dark at night. Not a bad road up at all - just a bit steep. Well recommended

Extraordinaire vue imprenable, route assez raide mais ça passe avec 2,3 m de large et juste à côté des antennes

Highest point on the Isle of Wight St Boniface/Ventnor Down. Shame the originator of this thread did not get the name right, the view inland from St Boniface/Ventnor down is... Wroxall down! Gets a mention in the 1969 film Battle of Britain. 'Ventnor radar station is out of action' Beautiful spot with 360° views of the IoW and Hampshire.

Great little spot nice and quite with amazing views stayed for a couple nights

So good we went back for a second night here. Wide open space. On a clear day you can see all the way to the mainland. Enjoyed one thunderstorm night and one so clear you could see every star :)

Windy but worth it! A great view over the sea; plenty of boats to spot. Relatively flat. Lovely walks and views for miles around.

very good, stayed at the end which seemed more popular with walkers and dog walkers, might be worth choosing the first 2 areas

Was determined to get up that hill, 1st gear all the way! Well worth it. So peaceful, lucky to have no wind and a beautiful sunset. Couple of cars, 1 other motorhome. Stunning views. Thanks puds and the others who’ve been here.

excellent spot. great view, no signs, not many people. Came back for a second night. it's a bit windy but what do you expect from beginning on top of a hill?

  • 4/5

Great park up. Narrow in couple of places. We are in a 7.5m Motorhome and met some traffic heading up the hill, take time and no issue. We parked at the top parking area, we were the only Motorhome parked for the night. Great views, turned very windy during the night but that didn’t cause a problem at all.

Brilliant spot with amazing views. Plenty of space and choice to get the van level. Dog walkers around until sunset. Super windy day so we were blown around a little but well worth the sunrise and sunset!!

Stayed overnight on 12/9/21. Would have been great sunrise/sunset/views but unfortunately was cloudy!! Was the same night as zebede4500 below! Just us two vans and of course the alarm!!! Not a problem! Hope you have it fixed now!!

Parked up and slept there last night. no problem at all, quite a few dog walkers but no hassle. incredible views and perfect spot for sun set and sunrise. steep hill approach as mentioned but if our vw camper can do it most should be fine.

  • 5/5

Amazing 360 degrees views. Very quiet and pretty, but there are dogs walkers around at sunset and in the morning, some of which were very friendly and let us play with their dogs. It is a steep hill to get there, true - we were driving a VW California campervan and were fine! No facilities whatsover, it's wild camping at its best. One of the best nights we had at Isle of Wight! Highly recommended.

Great view, quiet location, roaming cattle. Only thing is quite steep to get to, we’re a small van and we’re fine but anything big might struggle! No facilities, but worth a nights stop! Nothing to say no overnight parking.
