Koppany Pines

Welcome to Koppany Pines, Hungarian Country Camping located in the Koppany Valley Nature Park set in the rural village of Koppanyszanto, southern Transdanubia on the Koppany Valley walking trails. Experience the beautiful scenery, the thermal spas, wine tasting tours, day out relaxing or fishing at a nearby private lake(special permission granted) or visit Balaton Lake with it's variety of watersports (40 mins). If you are looking for some tranquility, sit back and enjoy the sunshine with a glass of locally produced wine on this quiet site. We have our own campsite bar for guests and a locally produced ingredient menu and you also have free use of our new outdoor 10m x 5m swimming pool.( Seasonal ) The site has 20 pitches suitable for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, ready erected accommodation and lodges. Guests have full access to toilet and shower facilities as well as an outdoor kitchen, firepit and Pizza oven for guest use. The site is 500m from the local village, its shop and pub; and is situated 12 miles from Tamasi off the main road from Pecs to Budapest. So what are you waiting for? Come and see the real Hungary!

Fantastic weekend here in early season. Amazing access to walks and the local wildlife. The British hosts put on a range of activities, and the food was excellent. Great to go somewhere with such a great atmosphere. Looking forward to going back

Wunderbarer Platz, unglaublich familiär und ich wurde sehr nett aufgenommen. Leckeres Essen von den britischen Betreibern möglich zu guten Preisen. Wäsche waschen möglich und alles was man braucht ist da. Bei einem technischen Problem an meinem Camper hat der Besitzer sofort geholfen. Wahnsinn! Mein Highlight in Ungarn!

Een hele fijne rustige camping. Wij hadden een mooie ruime plek op de bovenste heuvel bij het zwembad. Heerlijk gegeten bij en met Debby&Mark! Hongaarse maaltijd op het vuur bereid met een Engelse twist. Zelfs nog naar de maan en sterren gekeken. En van ons krijgen ze 5 sterren

The most idyllic campspace ever. Marc & Debs will do everything to be at your service. Too much to mention but there are 5 beautiful pitches for campers, a very nice pool, a bar with a large variety of drinks and home made herbal tea, and many more. You can see the Milky Way at night, Marc lends you his binoculars. LOOOVELYYY

Super Platz mit dem gewissen etwas. Sehr schön natürlich angelegt. Sehr freundliche Besitzer aus England. Geben viele Tipps und Ideen rund um das Dorf. Auf der Platz gibt es einen Pool und eine Bar. Wer möchte kann auch Frühstück (english/Kontinental) oder Dinner haben. Marc & Debby geben ihr bestes und sind sehr hilfsbereit mit allen. Viele internationale Gäste die auf der Durchreise sind.

Die Besitzer sind jetzt andere. Die sympathischen Mark und Debs haben es übernommen. Es gibt ein Pool. Die Sanitäranlagen sind sauber. Wir haben 15 Euro für einen Camper + 2 Erwachsene bezahlt. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Super campsite for vans or tents. Lots of grass areas and hard ground over half of which are completely flat, a few others are slightly sloped but easily leveled with your blocks. Some shaded spots. There are 2 bathrooms (with shower, toilet and sink) 1 for men, 1 for women. And despite what diegososam says there are 2 grey water drains on site. Small shop 10 mins walk and bar with food onsite.

We spent a lovely couple of days at Tranquil Pines with Andrew and Sharon. There was even cake for my husband’s birthday. Very relaxed, chilled out and quiet, the pool was great and enjoyed our evening chats with a beer or two. We would recommend.

Nice place, but more a private camper parking than a campsite. Toilets and showers ok, but only 1, it could easily get busy. Most pitches are not level, and really small. No grey water drain.

Andrew et Sharon sont de très agréables hôtes avec qui nous avons pris plaisir de discuter quelques heures autour d’un verre. Leur camp dispose de tout ce dont vous aurez besoin : eau, électricité, sanitaire, machine à laver... Ils proposent quelques plats et des boissons en vente sur place. Je recommande cet endroit sans hésitation, nous y avons passé un très bon séjour !

Ein sehr netter Platz bei zwei engagierten Leuten die das mit Herzblut machen. Leider liegt der Platz ziemlich außerhalb der üblichen Routen. Alles ist sauber und korrekt. Da Begrüssungsbier gestern war bei der Hitze köstlich.

A unique place! Very friendly and engaging owners, peaceful location on the edge of a tiny village, possibility to do laundry (€4), very reasonably priced bar and food and a lovely vibe. Highly recommended! €15 for two with a camper, electricity included. Thank you!

A nice quiet little campsite with a relaxed and casual feel about it. Andrew and Sharon are great hosts and Andrews makes a great goulash over the open fire. They can organise trips to the local sites and even to Budapest. Worth spending a day or three here.

Klasse Campingplatz mit Pool, Feuerstelle und coolen, recycelten Möbeln. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett und mit Herzblut dabei. Zur Begrüßung bekommt man ein Bier oder Wein geschenkt. Außerdem bieten sie an Gulasch oder Lagos zu kochen.

Wij waren eind april op deze camping. Verwacht geen luxe, alles is zeer eenvoudig. Behalve de sfeer, die is uitstekend. En de gastheer en gastvrouw, het welkom en het bier. We komen terug, Andrew en Sharon.

Quirky little campsite run by friendly & knowledgable hosts. Facilities included large flat pitches, a spacious shower / WC for each gender, double kitchen sink, washing machine (payable), outside seating & a fab little bar - due to the season the swimming pool was closed

Fabulous campsite run by a lovely couple who couldn’t be more helpful or make you feel more at home. We ended up staying a week as it was so peaceful & relaxing & we loved swimming in the pool by day & drinking ice cold beers with guests from all over the world by night. Highly recommended as a place to chill out away from the crowds. Not sure what that person below is on about giving only one star because there were flies but they’ve made themselves look a right idiot on here!! Maybe they should’ve asked the owners to ban them from the campsite! It wouldn’t surprise me if Andrew & Sharon could’ve done it as they could certainly do everything else they were asked to do by their guests!

De camping is zeer eenvoudig. Enorm veel vliegen toen wij er waren. De wasmachine kost €5(!) per was. Dus let op!

This campsite really is a lovely experience. It's located in beautiful Hungarian countryside with lots of local walking and cycling. Lake Balaton is an easy drive away plus a choice of Thermal Spas and interesting towns. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable by the friendly English owners. Exceptional.

I can only endorse what all the other reviews have already said.. perfect relaxation and attentive hosts.. You arrive as guests and leave as friends.. Pioneers who have created an Oasis in rural Hungary.. Rustic charm in every corner and an atmosphere which joins the many Nationalities who stumble upon this little Gem..

Génial. Nous avons passé une magnifique soirée et rencontré des gens super avant d'aller au festival Ozora. Très convivial. Piscine sur place très agréable. Andrew et sa femme propose un bar avec des consos tout à fait abordables et il cuisine également des plats typiques à la demande, végétariens au besoin

Le camping se trouve au calme, dans un petit village. Sharon et Andrew, un couple d'anglais, sont adorables. Ils viennent de construire un petit bar et en juin leur nouvelle piscine sera en service. Ils proposent même des repas : Goulash maison/pizza ou toast + bière pour 1000 forints. Le tarif est le même toute l'année, 4200 incluant eau, électricité, accès douche et wc, vidange k7 possible.

We found Tranquil Pines through Facebook. We arrived earlier than planned owing to a problem with our motorhome. Andrew was brilliant in helping us, firstly by getting an electrician to look at the problem then by booking us into a motorhome dealers for repair, the company were brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Andrew and Sharon who are very helpful and friendly, even allowing our dog into their home when he was terrified during a storm. We went fishing twice with them. A very quiet and peaceful site.

Tranquil Pines lives up to its name a very peaceful, rural area in a small village. Great facilities i. E. Shower, toilet waste disposal, electricity and water all available. The site is well situated to visit this area of Hungary. You are less than an hour away to the beautiful lake Balaton with its obvious attractions. The historic cities of Kaposvar and Pecs are within an easy drive and well worth the visit. There are thermal spas close by for those who want to spend a wonderful relaxing day. Close to the site are excellent opportunities for walking/cycling in the beautiful forests in this area. The village has a local shop and mobile shops visit on a regular basis. This is a great site for people seeking peace and quiet - birdwatching or just doing nothing. The owners, Sharon and Andrew, could not be more helpful and you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome.
