Die Kirche zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass sich dort frei zugänglich eine Sammlung von versteinerten Baumstämmen befindet. sehr schön erhalten und interessant insbesondere auch für Kinder, die Fossilien wurden wohl vor der Flutung der Talsperre vom jetzigen Seegrund gerettet. Die Kirche selbst ist relativ neu und nicht allgemein zugänglich. Man hat von dort aber auch einen sehr schönen Blick über den See und etwas Schatten für ein Picknick im kleinen Park um die Kirche herum. Möglicherweise würde auch über Nacht parken auf dem Stellplatz geduldet, wir haben es aber nicht probiert
