Great site next to the surf and lots of space with good facilities. A few draw backs are the constant light aircraft taking off and landing at the nearby Strandhill airport, the constant noise of the lawn mower tractor and quite a lot of litter on the campsite and on the beach / paths. Would be a fantastic place if it was quiet!
Wir waren Anf. Juni für 1 Nacht mit dem Wohnmobil dort (32€, 2 Personen) Ohne Reservierung, haben kurz vorher dort angerufen. Duschen/Toiletten sauber. Es stimmt, in den Duschen nur 1 Haken an der Tür, aber ( bei den Frauen) 1 Hakenleiste vor den Duschen und 1 kleine Bank. Der Platz punktet durch seine Lage, die freundlichen Mitarbeiter und die Versorgungseinrichtungen für die Womos sind super.
Wir haben für drei Nächte im Mai (Pfingsten) € 96 gezahlt. Toiletten sehr sauber. Mitarbeiter hilfsbereit. Platz hat die typische englische Ausstattung ohne Schnick-Schnack. Würde wiederkommen. Schöner Strand - Badeverbot - mit Zugang vom Platz. Punktabzug, weil die (nur) drei Duschen zwar sauber sind, aber keine noch so winzige Ablagemöglichkeit für Brille und Autoschlüssel vorhanden ist => NoGo!
We stayed mid April. Arrived and booked at reception for one night. Due to the proximity to the beach and being a surf Mecca it can get busy at peak periods. The campsite is well maintained and the toilets/ showers are newly refurbished and spotlessly well maintained. €1 for 5 min shower. Loads of fresh water points by each space and good facilities for grey, black waste. Good cellular reception.
Arrivée sans réservation, nous avons pu profiter d'un emplacement à 30€/la nuit. les sanitaires sont propre et bien conçu mais 1€/ pour 6 min de douche. l'endroit dispose d'une cuisine équipée de plaque de cuisson électrique, de frigo, bouilloire (dont 2 salles). vous avez accès a 3 machines à laver et 1 sèche linge pour 1 € les 22 minutes. Endroit exposé au vent
Perfekter Platz, sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Empfang, schöne Anlage, wunderbarer Strand. Es gibt nichts auszusetzten. PS: Wenn man im Juli hierherfährt und sich dann beschwert, dass es viele Gäste hat sollte vielleicht einmal seine Reiseplanung überdenken.
Pros: Good place to stay if for a few nights to recharge and refill. You heard the sound of the sea while sleeping. Cons: Amenities are ok, but you need to pay 1€ for 5 mins shower :(
Sehr große Parzellen, kein Baum, kein Strauch. Strand unmittelbar am Campingplatz, aber große Steine zu überqueren, Schwimmen nicht erlaubt (aber möglich). Duschen 1,- €. Schöne Wanderstrecken (z.B. auf den Knocknarea); Imbiss auf dem Platz sehr lecker (und teuer)
Camping correcte, au bord de la magnifique plage, à deux pas de la rue avec bar, glaces et écoles de surf et à environs 700m de la dune. Sanitaires ok, douche payante (1euro pour 5 minutes). À refaire, pour une nuit, nous aurions dormi sur le parking à côté (15euros la nuit) sans commodité.
Trotz Hinweis, dass der Platz nur online und für mindestens 5 Nächte buchbar ist, sind wir einfach hingefahren. Sehr nett und entspannt an der Rezeption. Drei Nächte waren ohne Probleme möglich. Der Platz recht voll, aber gut Platz drumherum. Schöne Walks. Einrichtungen prima. Geschäfte, Pubs etc. in der Nähe. Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
Riesiges Areal, dicht an dicht, komplett ausgebucht Anfang Juli. Toiletten und Duschen hart an der Belastungsgrenze.
très bon accueil, nous avons passé une nuit en van avec une tente pour 28 € 2 adultes, un enfant. nous nous sommes présentés à l'improviste sans réservation et nous avons été accueillis. chaleureusement. emplacement exposé au vent. sanitaire propre douche pour 1 € les 5 minutes.
Fantastic site in an ideal location, such an easy short walk into a great little area with various seaside shops, cafes & bars etc. lovely beach & the campsite itself is very good. Showers could be doing with staying on longer when there’s a cost involved.. outside of that we didn’t come across anything that wasn’t very good
Alle Einrichtungen gut und sauber, auch die Duschen funktionieren einwandfrei. Freundlicher Empfang. Wir können den Pub "Die Strand Bar" empfehlen, Reservierung sinnvoll.
This is a great site apart from the 1 euro showers only run for 2 secs per press, despite it being paid for. Tried two both the same (mens). Other than that the site is well equipped, fab location, friendly and pub just off the site is great.
A really nice, well kept site. The young guy in reception was great. There’s a bar/restaurant nearby so you have everything you need. The toilets and showers were immaculate and the only complaint I have is that the showers are difficult to use, each button push lasts less than 2 seconds. I’d recommend this place.
Perfect place to stop over. Man very friendly on check in. Pub was lovely nearby and great food recommend
Großer organisierter Campingplatz. Das Personal ist nett. Auto mit Dachzelt für 22€ übernachtet. Der Sanitärbereich ist großzügig, jedoch nicht besonders sauber! Es ist sicher schwer bei über 120 Stellplätzen hier klarzukommen! Großes Defizit: Keine Möglichkeit auf dem Zeltplatz Strom zu bekommen, auch die Steckdosen in der Küche waren defekt. Hier kann nachgebessert werden.
Stayed here one night in a campervan, €37 for 3 people, €20 extra for a fob for facilities! Right behind a stunning restaurant and pub (6.30€ for a pint) and on the beach! Another stunning pub and restaurant up the top of town! Not a whole pile to do but everyone was lovely and facilities were clean! Would book before arriving!
Camping très propre, très bon accueil. Nous y avons passé une nuit en van,fin juin, sans avoir réservé. Petite station balnéaire très agréable.
Il était trop tard pour faire la réservation sur internet, j’ai appelé l’accueil dans mon anglais approximatif, ils m’ont ouvert la barrière et j’ai fait les papiers à la réception. 28€ sans courant et 20€ de caution pour le badge sanitaire et portail. Un emplacement face à la mer. Très propre et surveillé.
Sehr netter junger Mann, er bemühte sich sehr um uns, wir haben einen umgebauten Reisebus (10 m). Wir standen auf der großen Wiese am Sportplatz. was zuerst in Ordnung war. Später kamen immer wieder Kinder und spielten vor uns Fußball. Es war für uns zu laut, auch war der Strand nicht unserer. Wir sind wieder abgereist, haben unser Geld zurück bekommen. Für Familien mit Stadt Charakter sicherlich gut, wir lieben die Ruhe.
We have just spent two nights here in our wee campervan. Had a great relaxing time. The toilet block is immaculate and very central so handy for all. There are different zones which have a small banking around keeping the wind down. Right next to beach. Paid €32 per night for camper, & awning for 2 adults 1 dog. Can't fault it really. Few eateries, ice cream and 1 bar very close by.

Nice campsite right next to the beach,guy at reception was very nice and helpful,toilets and showers spotlessly clean,it's a big site with lots of people but is spread out enough,short walk to shops and pubs.
Prima camping. Verblijf van 3-5 september 2023. Gewoon op aangereden en meer dan genoeg plek. We hadden een geweldige plek in de duinen, mooier kon niet. Leuk stadje op 5 min lopen met lekkere koffie en scones om te genieten op de boulevard. Faciliteiten prima op orde. Voor herhaling vatbaar.
Very nice well run campsite. Good pitch loctions. Nice attentive staff. Modern, very clean sanitary facilities. Very close to the TOP surf beach. Super restaurant and shop Honestly Farm Kitchenmit (BIO) nearby. Rarely bought meat and vegetables that tasted so good.
Pre booked for two nights online. Came here to surf, only to find that the local town does not hire our boards! Only able to do surf lessons unless you have your own gear. Campsite was lovely. We especially enjoyed running through the dunes with our toddler and watching the sunset.

Vriendelijke en behulpzame ontvangst. Niet gereserveerd, toch werd alle moeite gedaan om ons een paats met elektirciteit te geven. Nette, moderne sanitaire installaties. Eten in Stoked is een echte aanrader. Wel tijdig reserveren. Een zeewierbad in Voya Seaweed Baths is een zalige ervaring. Alles op wandelafstand. Voor wandelaars is de Queen Maeve's Trail aan te bevelen.
Fine place. Lot's of dog owners. Not everybody is cleaning up the shit of their dog unfortunately. Showers are great. Euro 1 for 5 minutes. Beaches are fine although you're not allowed to swim due to the current. One night is ok.

Perfecte plek! Tot op heden geen betere sanitair/ douche voorzieningen getroffen. Super netjes en schoon. Je betaalt 1 euro voor 5 minuten douchen, maar is helemaal prima. Aardig personeel, fijne plek voor je was en afwas. Zouden 1 nacht blijven, maar vanwege de rust en fijne plek 3 nachten verbleven. Leuk om naar Sligo te gaan! We vonden het top :) met hond en een Camperbus van 8 meter.
Camping en bord de mer, plutôt jolie et propre, mais tout les emplacement ne sont pas droit et les machines à lavé sont timé donc système nul, le temps est écoulé avant la fin de notre machine donc pas essoré rien et les sèches linges, d'une heure n'ont rien séché bref, Douche payante 1 euro pour 5 minute ! Mieu vaut aller ailleurs !
Eigentlich wollte ich nur eine Nacht bleiben, was kein Problem war. Da es mir aber so gut gefiel, blieb ich zwei Nächte. Schön fand ich auch, dass sich nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ein nettes Pub und eine tolle Eisdiele befinden.

We stopped and went to reception and were able to book for one night, facilities are good and appear newish. Bit expensive at €30 for 2 people inc Electric. If you pitch right by the beach be aware it's on a coastal walking route so you get lots of people walking past plus tons of children in groups walking through with the surf school. Probably a really nice site in summer and worth the cost.

En appelant nous avons pu avoir de la place pour une nuit. Camping basique. Pas de jeux pour enfant, douche payante, machine à laver et sache linge peu pratique avec un système de temps. Emplacement petit, nous sommes serrés. Avantage: au bord de la plage
Schön am Strand gelegen. Gerade werden die Toiletten und Duschen erneuert, daher gibt es in kleinen Containern Duschen und Toiletten, gerade kostenlos. Sehr sauber.

We were turing and needed a campervan service. We didn't stay there. The owner let us service the van for a €10. Clean site.
Grand camping correct, ouvert aux 4 coins. Douches à peu près propres. Prix excessif : 1 camping-car /1 personne = 26 euros/jour alors que mes parents à 2 ont payé 27 euros. Bien pour ravitailler, mais sans plus.
Super bondé en ce samedi 10 août, mais avons la chance d'avoir une place, car pas de système de réservation mais "1er arrivé, 1er servi". 24€ pour 1 camping-car et 2 personnes, 3 € d'électricité. 20€ de caution pour clé sanitaire, 1€ la douche.

Archi plein donc demi-tour. Déçus c'était bien placé pourtant. Pour une autre fois.
