Parking lot at the Erichhütte (approx. 30 min). Almost empty in the evening / at night. Outhouse available, no overnight stay ban. Only about 3 level parking spaces at the top. Ideal starting point for mountain tours (e.g. Hochkönig via the Königsjodler via ferrata).

It's not a problem to sleep here. Full during the day. But from 20-21h it gets quiet. The traffic is lighter. The parking lot is uphill. For a straight car, you need to level off.

Parkplatz hat eine schöne Bank und Tisch. Kein Übernachtungsverbot. Das Plumpsklo stinkt innen leider sehr. Der Platz ist kaum eben aber für eine Nacht gut und wenn man ums Eck läuft hat man Blick auf das Bergmassiv.

Perfekt um morgens nach einem halbstündigen Fußweg Richtung Hochkönig/ Erichhütte den Sonnenaufgang in wunderschöner Kulisse anzusehen. Wirklich empfehlenswert! :-) Wer ausschlafen will, ist hier nicht wirklich richtig. Ab 4:30 Uhr starten die ersten Wanderer ihre Touren vom Parkplatz aus. Außerdem ist man wahrscheinlich selten alleine (mit uns waren einige Autos/Vans, die auch die Nacht hier verbracht haben).
