Really lovely place to park up, no sign saying no overnight parking so we stayed for one night 27/06/2021, after 8pm we was the only van there, no toilets or bins.

Gorgeous spot and the lake is stunning, no overnight parking though at the minute as there's been some trouble and antisocial behavior, the waterboard came and let us know and that the police are doing checks and handing out fines, I stayed for night in the week when it was quiet, gets busy at weekends though apparently

29/10 Beautiful spot. Stayed one night; only van there. So peaceful.

Lovely spot by the lake, lots of space to park. Walks around the lake. Sheltered for overnight stay, no facilities, toilet up road at outdoor centre. No phone signal...

This is the second time that I have posted a comment on this place and each time I cannot post it! Anyway, great place, launched our kayaks too, with an £8 per day per person, but well worth it, You can camp here too, but no facilities.

Best camp spot we've found so far! Mix of people sleeping in vans and tents set up by the lake. No signs for 'no overnight parking or camping' and the local fishermen there in the morning were friendly and cool with us swimming in the lake. We didn't bring enough water though so we drove to the first farm up the road and they were more than happy to fill out bottles and offered us coffee

It’s a single lane road to the lake. There are two hairpin bends the second is quite tight so be warned. No mobile signal so make sure your sat nav is set up. Just set the sat nav to Rugg’s hill, the car park is on the right hand side as soon as you turn on to the road. Lovely location. Flat car park and quite. Could do with a bin. Ideal for one night. The signs don’t mention anything about no overnight parking the gate isn’t locked overnight. Would stay again.
