New no overnight camping sign up 29/02/2024. A shame as always but likely due to issues with fly-tipping and antisocial behaviour.

Stoke Woods, Forestry commission carpark. Popular walking area with families and dog walkers enjoying the woods. Some rubbish left by inconsiderate people could draw unnecessary attention to what is a quiet rural setting.

arretfrequent12/02/2024Stopped overnight (February 2024) quiet, undisturbed night. Minor traffic noise from road above the car park but nothing to worry about. Surface is pretty muddy, exit is steep and could be a challenge on frosty mornings. Some rubbish could only have been left by over nighters ! Please do the right thing if you stop here.

Arrived late and just one car with people sleeping in. No disturbances (except our 9 month old) Dog walkers in the early morning.

Great park up. No one was there when we arrived (about 10pm), didn’t get disturbed all night & still no one as we left (around 8am). Quiet and some flat areas, great woodland for dog walking in the morning too

Very peaceful spot (February 2023). Popular from about 7.30 am with dog walkers and later on families enjoying the walks in nearby woods.

Stayed here late on a Tuesday evening in October. Nice location and very quite. Nice doggy walks too. A car pulled up along side our van at around 12:00, I suspect they were doggers as they had the pick of the entire car park but they moved on with no hassle when they realised there was action forthcoming. Didn’t get a bad vibe from the place as previous post says, I would stay here again.
debbie03087312/09/2021This is a great little park up but as a local and a motorhomer I've seen other locals complaining on social media about the number of vans parking up here. I walk my dogs here regularly and have found up to 6 vans parked up leaving only a couple of spaces for locals. Please be considerate to the local users and fund another spot if more than a couple of vans here before complaints turn to a ban.

Doggers and horrible atmosphere - look elsewhere
Figcake2328/06/2020Managed to get here with a 40ft 18 tonne truck. Bit hilly and a few low branches. No signs prohibiting parking. Another person here says they've been here a few nights with no trouble. Nice walks for dogs. No services or water
