We were not able to access this site due to very poorly marked diversions for road work. I am not sure how long this will be going on.

Camped here on Saturday night at the end car park with the good view, couldn’t work out if it was a dogging spot or not as cars kept arriving all night lol people were arguing outside our van at about 4am. Early in the evening police arrived a few times however they didn’t say anything. Nice view though but also bloody windy, van was shaking like a dog sh**in* razor blades. All in all spot was ok, no one said anything and wasn’t any trouble. If I was to do it again I would sleep in the lower car parks that don’t get battered by the wind as much.

We stayed here for one night on the way back from Cornwall. we wanted to visit the 1066 experience. Amazing view, we drove down to the bottom car park and enjoyed the views across the sea. Very quiet but busy with dog walkers. We made sure we left it as we found it.

Fantastic spot. This was a welcome stop and a great place. We stayed two nights. The best car park is actually the third one you see or second on the left. This one has amazing sea views and walks. Cheap too. £3.50 per day and free from 16.00-08.00 hrs

Don’t stop in the large square gravel carpark but carry on driving into the second car park. There is an amazing view over fields and out to the sea. £2 for 2 hours , £3.50 for all day but that’s only within 8am to 4pm. Outside of those hours is free

Wonderful views and walks although quite busy after dark and early on with many dog walkers so don't expect a lie in. no facilities open currently. i even litter picked to keep the area clean and to keep us welcome , please do the same. was windy in the night being on high ground. overall a great spot

Area of outstanding natural beauty, wonderful views and plenty of space. If we can continue to LEAVE NO TRACE then we can most likely continue to use this spot although officially I'm sure you're not meant to stay overnight, there are no signs and it's not enforced. Toilets were closed both days we were here unfortunately (poss because of coronavirus) but all in all a great find

Stayed for one night in the large lot but there's a smaller lot with fantastic views further down Lower Coastguard Lane (although more visitors coming to that lot in the morning). Ticket required from 8am-4pm. We bought one in the evening that was valid until 4pm the next day. Glad we did as there's a walking path through the nature reserve all the way to Hastings that made for a great day trip.

Lovely spot grabbed two nights quiet nice views

There is a further gravel parking area across the road, surrounded by trees and shrubs. It is the same pay and display rates, we bought a ticket in the evening covering us until 4pm the next day. Spent the night and were woken up by the warden telling us that we should not have stayed. (the sign by the meter does not say no overnight parking but apparently, that's the rules! )
