Lovely spot for a night park up. Quiet tight getting in with a couple of big boulders at the entrance. We stayed Saturday night and at 10am Sunday morning there is a kids park run in the park so gets really busy.

Quiet spot and hardly anyone here in the evening, just lots of dog walkies in the AM. It has a bin which is super handy and a bus stop to go into centre of Bristol.

  • 5/5

Busy spot but no bother. Bin at end near entrance to the woods. With a lwb or MH recommend only turning in right due to positioning of the boulders at the entrance. Few big potholes to dodge. Beautiful walks & lovely wee cafe at mansion with friendly staff who recommended nearby Blaise Castle. I walked there which was a fair jaunt but stunning, even on a wet Dec day! Big hit with the dog too :)

  • 5/5

Good for larger vans and motor homes, can be busier in day. No signage. Few potholes, Flat level, lovely mansion with cafe a short walk away, good for dogs.

  • 5/5

Nice stopover after an airport run. Much quieter than we anticipated due to the close road. Perfectly flat. We slept with another few vans and a caravan. A few dog walkers in the morning … no concerns … bin nearby. All good !

Stayed on a Friday night, a couple of other vans there too, very quiet despite being close to the road. Felt safe and we were undisturbed. Left at 8am when it started getting busy with walkers.

This is a dogging site at night! People meet in their cars to do private things here. Be aware of that if you go to this spot. We had a guy in his car doing two rounds around the place and he looked in every car. Probably to check if he is being watched. Very annoying! Warning: the entrance is very narrow. Turn around at the round about on the far end and come back from the other side.

  • 5/5

Very convenient areas. Busy with walkers. No bins. Good 4g. Few other vans overnight. As others have mentioned, the entrance is narrow and is off set from the road at an angle. Would recommend

Stayed here last night, couple of other campers there when we arrived. Quiet nights sleep, lots of dog walkers from about 8am. Nice walking area with picnic tables, close to king western estate house. - only downside is entrance was very tight

  • 5/5

My first time bedding up for the night in transit. Great little spot, quiet but not eerily quiet - two other vans when I arrived around 2am. Slept undisturbed until 8am. Plenty of space. Lots of potholes but not a problem. A bit tight getting in

Super arrêt. Si vous avez un chien ou des enfants c'est parfait. On était proche d'un espace vert, notre chien a pu se dépenser au max avant de reprendre la route le matin. Lieu tranquille et proche de different type d'échoppes.

wonderful spot. very flat. beautiful and large area for walking and cycling. picnic benches. WARNING we really struggled to enter this car park with our long wheel base sprinter. very narrow from the road. we didn't stay the night so can't comment on that.

Nuit très calme . Beaucoup de promeneur le matin .

  • 4/5

I stayed here last night 4 campervans including us. When i went for a walk in the morning 2 of the campervans had water stains from under their vans. this is all the council needs to stop overnight stays. Do we ever learn?

  • 5/5

Nice spot, a few potholes but overall pretty flat. Watch the right gap between the rocks coming in especially if coming from the West side. Beautiful walks right from the carpark. Nice and quiet.

  • 5/5

Great location fairly large car park just off the road but can't even hear it ! it's so quiet I can just hear the birds tweeting. lovely walk around the Kings weston House grounds. lovely position and great If you have a dog.

  • 5/5

Sehr ruhig Nacht gehabt. Super Platz! Ein paar Schlaglöcher die man umfahren kann und sehr schmale Einfahrt aber es reicht mit einem Wohnmobil.

  • 4/5

had a good night sleep here, odd dog walker, pretty quiet no issues except poor 4g signal

  • 4/5

Just one thing to add. It’s a very tight entry between the boulders from one direction so you might need to go to the next junction and turn around.

  • 4/5

No facilities other than a good walking place for your dog. No night lighting, dark and exceptionally quiet considering it’s close to a main road. Always get a good nights sleep here.

  • 4/5

google kept taking me to the golf course for some reason luckily street view had been in there so followed that to the roadand i was actuall less than fiity yards from the entrance, the rocks gave it away.

  • 4/5

Stayed here during the day while working nights very quiet just dog walkers will stay again.

  • 5/5

Great place for overnight. I’m the morning lots of people with dogs.

  • 4/5

Definitely worth approaching from West as the corner is tight with boulders, would stay again. Quiet night back from road, busy in morning with dog walkers, potholes but flat.

  • 4/5

Nice little spot for a night. Zero Hight Restrictions and plenty of room. lots of dog walkers.

  • 4/5

Staid here last night with no issues. It's set back from the road so is nice and quiet. No facilities (eg no bin and a dog walker had left a bagged up poo!) but also no signs to say parking prohibited in any way. There were 2 other campers when we arrived and the locals walking the dogs in the morning just left you to it.

  • 3/5

We stayed here for 1 night , it was lovely and quite and great for walking the dog in the morning . Downside was the MASSIVE potholes throughout the parking area , we had to go very very slowly and dog walkers arriving from 6am. Other than that a really night place shame about road layout . The locals were also very friendly .

  • 3/5

Not easy to turn into your better of turning right into the entrance, the track has some potholes to navigate but it’s flatter at the end near the woods. What3Words taker.verge.fund.

  • 3/5

Nice place, quiet night, gets so very very busy with dog walkers in the morning!

  • 4/5

Nice spot, perfect for a one night stop over, quiet with shops and pfs local. Good dog walk on doorstep, Pubs in near-by town are a bit rough and do not allow children at anytime. Entrance is not that narrow, my twin axle van is 6’9” wide (2084mm) had no problems. Although reversed in as I came from the west and corner is tight. Wouldn’t stay longer than a night.

  • 3/5

Misjudged width and suffered damage to rear wheel arch :-( better to approach from the East but better still to avoid this in anything wider than LDV ;-) (I'm in an Autotrail Mohican). I can fix if but would rather not have to. All that said, nice location. Also, beware gps that directs you through narrow 'Penpole Lane' as an approach road from the M5, A4, stay on the B4054 road.

  • 4/5

Nice place to stay, a short walk down to Shirehampton village where I had my hair cut and then a latte in a lovely cafe.

  • 5/5

Great place quiet at night n Lovely walk there

  • 4/5

A bit busy road. okay for a few nights. next to a wood. Lots of dog walkers. tight entrance. no height restriction. Git in okay with a ldv convoy.
