Burgess park across the road with a play ground for small children and lovely walk around the park. Easy access to Athlone town where there are shops restaurants and bars. . Not sure where the security guard would’ve been, but we drove all the way straight towards the back closer to Penny’s area. Arrived after 9 PM. No payment. Nobody was there. Nobody asked us. Wednesday night. Mall opens around 8:30. Grassy walking area across the street for dogs. No large trash bins. Two other campers here. Quiet night.
Der Platz kostet heute 5 Euro pro Tag. Die Security hat uns zunächst abgewiesen. Es sei keine Übernachtung erlaubt. Nach dem Wachwechsel hat uns ein andere Beamter genau erklärt, wie es funktioniert. So, wie beschrieben. Schranken bleiben nachts offen, es werden keine Klammern gesetzt, auch wenn es auf den Schildern angedroht wird. Nachts jedoch viel Zulieferverkehr von großen LKW. Sehr unruhig.

Lovely carpark, shopping centre and cinema onsite, pubs, restaurants, fast food only a quick walk away. Park, river views and playground across the road. Few MH and vans so felt safe overnight. Boy racer around last Saturday night, a few revs though out the night unfortunately.
Mit unseren VW Bus haben wir hier eine ruhige Nacht verbracht. Lediglich etwas spätabendlicher Anlieferverkehr und am Morgen die Autobahn waren zu hören. Sind gehen 19 Uhr hier eingetroffen. Parkgebühren wollte der Mensch der Center-Security hier nicht von uns weil wir morgens zwischen 8 und 10 wieder fahren würden. Im Center ist alles da was man braucht unterwegs (Lebensmittelläden, Bäckerei, Toiletten).
Quiet last night,would recommend, nice night out in Athlone. Ticket machine jammed, and app. doesn't recognise the 4 digit location code on machine. Shopping security guards assured us it would be ok to stay overnight without being clamped- he was correct.
As per previous post the boom gates did not shut on our stay, the parking pay station in located in carpark zone 1c
Parked here overnight using the app was very quit and short distance to town centre walking by the Shannon. Will definitely use this again very quit and loads of spaces
We parked here for a couple of hours to stop off on a long drive. Could only find one parking machine. Loads of signs saying a heavy fine if you don't pay. Downloaded the app but it didn't recognise the location. Ended up having to go and get change from the shop. Not much choice other than to park here as all the other car parks we saw had height barriers.
Can’t comment on the parking but I came here for the water and couldn’t find it. If you do, please comment to help others.
Die Schranken werden nicht geschlossen, eine Bezahlstation gibt es nicht (mehr). Gemäss der Auskunft zweier Sicherheitsbeamten im Einkaufszentrum darf man auch über Nacht stehen bleiben. (Stand Mai 2022)
This is a big car park and campers park here as well. First four hours free for customers or €3 all day. It’s very handy for Athlone and there are shops all around, you could get pretty much anything in this area or at the mall nearer town. No overnight parking.
It is not possible to pay for a 24h parking ticket after the mall is closed. But you are still only allowed to stay for 4 hours even if you arrive later. phone number and App to pay online, what is written on all the signs around the parking lot, do not exist anymore. signs are warning for high fees if you dont pay for a ticket.
