Campervan stopover. Just the most beautiful view to wake up to. Room for about 7 vans. Mostly flat. No facilities. Bearm separates you from the road. One of the best!

Panorama très beau. Malheureusement le chemin est très endommagé et est en plein vent. nous y avons toutefois passé la nuit un peu secoué par le vent.

Absolutely stunning view of the mountains, fairly busy when I arrived around 7pm in June. Good 4g on Vodafone.

Totally stunning views when we arrived in yesterday’s sunshine, not quite such good visibility this morning but still amazing views for miles and miles. Surprisingly little wildlife, only a couple of gulls way off in the distance. But a great park up for a night if the weather isn’t too rough.

Keine ruhige Straße, viel Verkehr, aber ok für eine Pause.

Parking peu pratique, beaucoup de vans et camping-cars donc pour se garer il faut dépasser sur les cailloux et la terre. Pas droit et faites attention à votre bas de caisse ! Le parking est parallèle à une route quand même passante (voitures à vive allure), et il est difficile de rejoindre le bourg d’à côté à pied (long et pas d’infrastructure). En revanche, paysage magnifique.

Great spot. As people have said, park up spots in Skye tend to be a park up along a very busy road. This is just off of a quieter road and is by far one of the best spots in the area. Fairly quiet and with lovely views of the mountains and space for several vans of all size.

Joli spot pour y passer une nuit, un peu boueux, je vous conseille plutôt de vous mettre parallèle à la route. Peu de trafic donc calme pendant la nuit !

Arrived early enough to get the larger MH spot. Had a really peaceful night after 10.30pm when the traffic stopped. Great views & 20 minutes from the waterfalls and other hiking trails. We would stay here again.

A beautiful spot with amazing views into the mountains. A little lower than the main road so there is less wind and less noise.

Buen sitio para dormir, con vistas increíbles. Por la noche mucho cuidado con los MIDGES. Hay productos para que no piquen pero si encaran dentro de tu furgoneta no te dejan dormir. Recomiendo llegar temprano, antes de la 17:30pm. No hay mucho hueco.

Beautiful, peaceful park up. noise from traffic early evening but it dies down. I arrived at 4.30 and got the second bay but room for a couple of smaller vans on the verge. Highly recommend.

Très bon spot, allez de bonne heure car très peu de place.

une vue certainement magnifique, mais effectivement route très étroite, il y avait déjà 2 vans, nous n'avons pas pû nous arrêter sans boucher la circulation. 15 mètres plus loin sur la gauche un autre emplacement plus spacieux, vue magnifique, par contre probablement ancienne décharge sauvage aux abords, majoritairement recouverte par la végétation, attention aux enfants et animaux, nuit calme.

excellent stop, no facilities but separated from the road and very quiet at night. space for 2 large vans (ours is 7.5m) and room for couple of additional small vans.

Ancienne route, étroite, deux emplacements possibles (en laissant la place pour une circulation, sinon on bouche tout), qui sont très défoncés et boueux... on repart.

Good overnight park up away from the road. Very soft verges. Good 4G. No bins or facilities. Would recommend.

stayed here for 1 night felt safe as im by myself was sad to see lots of rubbish. also in some places the ground is soft

Spot nuit que je recommande sur une route secondaire avec très peu de passage. Calme et sur. Places pour 2 vans. Vue sublime sur les sommets de Skye au réveil.

Prima parkeerplek voor 1 nacht. Mooi uitzicht vanaf je camper. Plek voor 2 campers. De plek is verhard met aan de zijkant gras. In de ochtend hoor je wel het verkeer van de weg maar dat heeft ons niet eerder wakker gemaakt. Geen voorzieningen.

Très bel endroit pour dormir, un peu à l’écart de la route donc plutôt calme. Malheureusement, le soir de notre arrêt nous avions une tempête donc difficile de trouver le sommeil à cause du vent.

Amazing views of Skye and close by to waterfall walk perfect for swimming. When you first pull in there is a flat space set back into the hill slightly sloped. No facilities but why come to akt for ehu and showers haha! Overnight camping allowed too and road noise not too invasive in the evening.

Emplacement top pour passer la nuit, belles vues. Par contre, idem que commentaires précédents, nous avons ramassé des déchets.. merci de garder votre papier toilette, vos lingettes et mégots dans vos poubelles, ce genre de comportement en 2023 ne devrait plus exister, pour la nature et les habitants de Skye.

It's a decent laybay, but the scenery is not that great, although our day was very cloudy and limited visibility. We could see 2/3 spots. Place around is very muddy today. There were midges at night. 4G reception is decent. Not amazing. Do not understand the reviews saying it's the best spot they found. We found way more amazing places for scenery tbh.

Beautiful spot with amazing views of black and red cullins. We stayed several nights. There is good cell phone reception. Space for 3 caravans. A shallow hill separates from main road, so it doesn't feel to close to traffic. Every night at 8pm a town employee comes check if you're not parking on grass (allowed only on gravel) and if it all is self contained (no chairs/tables outside)

En effet, un spot in-croy-able. Et donc tout naturellement, de gros porcs qui l'ont sûrement trouvé grâce à ce site, trouvent intelligent de vider leurs toilettes chimiques dans la bruyère et de laisser leurs poubelles. Les poubelles on les a prises, votre merde, la prochaine fois, posez là directement par terre, tout le monde vous remerciera.

Nice and breezy during the day but at night we got chased away by the midges. Better to have a tight weave mosquito net. Views are stunning.

Toller relativ ruhiger Stellplatz mitten in der Landschaft und schöner Aussicht. Platz für 2 Fahrzeuge. Keine Höhenbegrenzung. Auf unserer Reise einer der schönsten Stellplätze.

Ruhiger Parkplatz am Rande der Straße. Die Parkbuchten liegen ein wenig auseinander und sind zueinander und zur Straße mit Büschen getrennt. Tolle Sicht auf die Berge und auf ein kleines Loch. Waren hier für eine Nacht. Gegen 16 Uhr sind hier die Plätze zu unserer Zeit belegt gewesen.

A great place to stay for the night. A wonderful nights sleep. No noise from the road. Went for a walk to the waterfalls at Sligachan, only 20 mins walk away.

Super spot pour une nuit. Il est près de la route où il y a un peu de passage mais une butte de terre permet d'être caché un peu de la route et securise. Quelques vans présents, spot prisé pour la vue, je conseille d'arriver tôt!

One of the best spots we’ve stayed at. Lovely and peaceful, some road noise from passing traffic but didn’t disturb us at all. Idyllic views and great for long walks with our dog. Short drive to the Talisker whisky distillery. Just opposite visitor centre car park are bins, toilets and showers.

Amazing views, all though very windy as out in the open. Off the main road, not too much noise. Would recommend!

Beautiful spot, a real gem, quiet night & beautiful views indeed! Just a single track off road, so tuck in as far as you can.

Boggy so difficult to get too far off the lay-by but definitely possible to park safely. Very dark and very quiet, great nights sleep.

A really lovely spot, the views of the mountains superb, as was the exquisite sunset. A very quiet night with no road noise at all. The only downside was the prevalence of midges!

There are three places to park up, all behind a wee mound which cuts out noise. Scenery, with the hills disappearing into the mist. What a find!

Nice spot. Scenic view of the surrounding mountains. Next to a bit of a noisy road. We had a lovely evening, but a ‘midgee’ morning so we had to leave in a hurry to have breakfast somewhere else

Nice spot with good signal. There is no road noise at night as the road next to it has no cars at night.

Space for 2 vans. 200m further west is a cutout with space for another van. Very exposed, but enjoyed a night there. Watch out for the midges! They were out in force late-May.

Wanted out of Portree due to warnings about the traffic warden on the last night of skye live so being sober came down here ready to walk the next morning. It’s off the road and I heard no traffic just skylark and cuckoo. 2 vans already there when I pulled in. Beautiful view to wake up to on Sunday

Great parkup in a large lay-by, set back from the road and sheltered and hidden from most road noise. Fantastic views of the mountains. No facilities and feels really remote.

Nice and relatively quiet place. It gets crowded quickly so better be there early, I would say around 5pm. 4g signal on Three

Ground is very soft so only space for one really. Very exposed to the elements, just had a very rocky night. Road is quiet at night. Good signal on O2(giffgaff).

Good spot, space for two vans. One parked in little cut out at start of layby and another space 100m down. Not suitable for large motorhomes but VW Transporter sized vans are fine. Brilliant views of black cuillan. Keep an eye on wind forecast as this spot is pretty open and was extremely windy.

Had a bit of rain and only room for 1 van as ground looks a bit soft elsewhere. Nice spot though.

à l'écart de la route . nuit très calme. nous étions 6, voitures avec tentes , fourgons, camping car .... mais au réveil : des moucherons ... très désagréables. Dommage

Mini aire de repos sauvage près de la route mais donnant aussi sur les collines et une rivière en contrebas.

Place sympa et tranquille, a proximité du Loch Caol que je recommande pour les photographes

Les montagnes autour sont magnifiques nous avons trouvé l'endroit malheureusement assez sale si fait de son succès

Le meilleur spot du voyage. Vue incroyable à 360° sur les montagnes enneigées, très tranquille hors saison. Quelques voitures bruyantes le matin sur cette petite route, mais vraiment pas gênant. The best spot of our trip! Incredible view all around on the snowy mountains, very quiet in low season. A few loud cars in the morning on this small road, but not a problem.
