great spot for an overnight stay. had trouble contacting the man in charge, but I think it was to do with my phone service. showers and toilets are spotless and the corner bar just up the road does a great pint.

Lovely clean shower and toilet block. The place has great level parking, with choices of being next to the water's egde or by the field. Worth the €10.

we stayed here that at night and it was stunning the facilities are absolutely spotless and the organisers of the facilities are so nice to deal with it's a 10 out of 10 park up

Lovely quiet tidal pier on the Shannon estuary. Close to Kildysart village with pubs and takeaways. Very clean and well maintained facilities block with showers and toilets. Black water disposal also with fresh water taps. Level parking. Great to see the local community providing these much needed facilities. Well done!

very nice and tidy, great views the guy that looks after you when you arrive is helpful and friendly,the toilet block is very clean as is the grounds , picnic tables and bin are there to ,I will be returning

What a great parkup. First class facilities, credit to the community Pat Casey who advises code and facilities,has suggestions for social experiences which are great. Shannon View, John will make you feel welcome and Paudie in The Corner Bar, excellent craic as are the locals. Paudie is loads of fun. Highly recommended.

My wife stayed here for 2 nights on her own with the 3 dogs and felt very safe and comfortable, the volunteers that run it were helpful and attentive. Very quiet, 2 good night's sleep. Other vans around, left a donation in the honesty box, showers were great,it's got fresh water & you can drop your grey waste , they have a disposal point for black waste. Perfect place Thank you for providing it.

great little stop, lovely views, peaceful, well laid out, plenty of space, fresh new clean toilet block, shower is €1 for 2 mins, €10 by donation, we were made very welcome. phone one of the phone numbers on the door to get the access code and put the money through the post box in the toilet block. many thanks to the community who provided this. would love to see more places like this :-)

Ein ruhiger Ort für einen entspannten Abend und eine ruhige Nacht. Wir bekamen sehr freundliche Instruktionen und das Bad/WC ist ein toller Luxus. Das Frischwasser ist am Stellplatz an der Picknick-Bank.

Saubere Toilette und Dusche. Preis-Leistung passt. Scheint ein Projekt von Irland zu sein. Haltet es sauber. Nach all den überteuerten Preisen für Übernachtung, Parken etc. War das sehr angenehm.

Amazing stopover in a friendly village. Super clean toilet & shower block. Rang number on the door spoke to a very helpful chap who gave us the code for the facilities. Unfortunately we didn’t have any euro coins for the shower but the local pub kindly sorted us out. Posted €10 donation as instructed & enjoyed our evening. The custodian informed that the grey water disposal is the same as the black water, and the tap is for drinking water. Grey water is not in the street so you will need a bucket. From hygienic point of view it is not a good idea to use this tap as cassettes are flushed with this tap. At the harbour under the streetlight is an other tap for drinking water and you can connect a hose to it.

Great place to stay for a night, level parking, showers and toilet facilities, need access code, €10 a night. Very friendly people, dog friendly corner bar, we even got birthday cake as there was a 50th party on! Would highly recommend it.

Facilities are modern and clean, one separate toilet, one toilet in accessible shower room and one other separate shower €1 per 3mins, two or three basins. Quiet site, one other van.

Great aire de service! clean toilet building and €2 for 6 minutes of hot shower. Easy parking for our 7.5m motorhome. Outdoor chemical disposal with cleaning tap, and drinking water by the street lamp. Shops, pubs, and takeout within walking distance (uphill). Beautiful area and very friendly locals. To pay €10 and notify your stay, simply call one of the mobile numbers posted on the toilet door.

This is an incredible spot. We really hope you'll meet Joe the poet. And The Alders pub run by Padraig is fabulous fun. It's a friendly village off the beaten track and such a great facility to offer. We didn't use the shower facilities and paid Sam in the house behind the main building. Watch the tide rise and fall is just wonderful.

The best park up and facilities I have come across on my travels in ireland - lovely hot showers, water,bins and black water disposal all for just 10 euros a night. everything you need is there plus shops and takeaways 5 mins up the road. I stayed there twice while exploring county clare as its so peaceful and makes living in your van so much easier!

Great spot for an overnight stay or two. Unfortunately due to the awful weather we could not enjoy it as much as we wanted. There is a building with a shower, toilets and water (outside tap also for filling up) Take coins as you need it for the shower. The village is only 750m away.one of the responsible persons was arriving in the morning just while we were leaving and was a very nice gentleman.

Mais ce lieu a le mérite d'exister, ce qui est rare en Irlande et important de relever.

Very quiet night this is an ideal space for Motorhome Stopover. The toilets are superb clean and tidy. There’s toilet facilities to dump your black waste. The reason I’ve given it three stars is because of the water they have put basin push taps on the standpipes which are incredibly difficult to use when you’ve got a Motorhome, I suggest a they changed the taps to hose type connectors.

Super place to park, right by the small harbour. We rang Pat when we arrived and he gave us the code to the toilet and shower block which was really modern, very clean and an added bonus of food delivery menus! You need euros for the hot water, 1 euro equals 2 mins of hot water. For 10 euros a lovely beautiful and pleaceful spot to spend the night.

Schöner Platz direkt am Wasser. Anrufen hat super funktioniert und die Duschen sind sauber und neu gemacht. Einfach 10 € in einen Umschlag in den Briefkasten. Der ganze Ort ist zu Fuß erreichbar, Lebensmittel, Metzger und Haushaltswaren. Im Pub gibt es am Wochenende Livemusik. Aber auch am Dienstagabend haben uns die Iren freundlich aufgenommen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

me and my family stayed here recently arrived on site and there is a number on the toilets to call pat rang him and he gave me the code to get into the toilets and showers which were brand new and immaculate. 10 euro to stay the night lovely little spot very quiet and safe no height barriers owner is a very nice gentleman would highly recommend

Nice quiet spot on the quayside not too far from the village. Plenty room for motorhomes but only one other one on the night we stayed. We also stayed here two years ago and were happy to return this week. A couple of friendly pubs and nice chats with the locals. We didn't need any facilities but there's a toilet/shower block for a €10 contribution. We hope to return again.

Beautiful, quiet, telephone number in the door answered immediately with a code for showers and toilets, owner super friendly on the phone, can’t say better things about this spot, very happy with coming across this little gem after coming off the Shannon ferry. Great park-up overlooking the estuary near a lovely village. Easy to get 'checked in' once we arrived via a quick phone call. Nice showers/toilets, drinking water and waste disposal. Owner was really friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.

A fantastic site with stunning views and very clean modern facilities. we stopped here for one night whilst on the wild Atlantic way. very friendly locals and a welcoming colourful pub just up the road.

Wie großzügig von diesem kleinen Ort, dass wir hier für 5 € mit Toilette und Entsorgungsmöglichkeit des Toilettentanks, übernachten durften. Der Besuch im Corner Pub hat uns Irland wieder ein Stück näher gebracht. Der Barkeeper Pauli ist unglaublich nett und erzählt einem, was neugierige Reisende wissen wollen!

Called the number on the toilet and spoke to the loveliest man who told us how to access and wished us a lovely stay! A peaceful spot with a few locals during the day who were all v friendly. A lovely little dog and cats roam about. Walked to the town for a drink and again very nice people. Great view. We stopped side on to the white house in the middle but great spot further on for smaller vans.

What a find this place is. Spacious park up with spotlessly clean facilities. Toilet block with shower and all for €5. Shower is coin op so take some change. Chemical waste and litter bins. call the number on the toilet door and the incredibly friendly and helpful locals will give you the code. The honesty box is inside. 10 minute walk to the Corner pub is a bonus for a great pint of Guiness

Sehr schöner Platz mit Dusche und Toilette.Zudem sehr freundliche Einheimische.Es gibt eine Ehrlichkeitskasse und man zahlt 5€ für die Nacht.Außerdem zahlt man 1€=2minuten beim Duschen was für uns sehr in Ordnung war.

When we arrived everything was shut off & locked up but if you call one of the numbers on the poster the volunteers will happily assist you. The kind woman let us use her hose to fill our water tank as the water was shut off for no fee. The area was clean and quiet.

Wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht. An der Tür zum Haus mit der sanitären Einrichtung sind 3 Kontakte gelistet. Nach kurzem Telefonat hat uns ein sehr freundlicher Anwohner die Tür geöffnet obwohl wir außerhalb der Sasion reisen (Januar). Alles war absolut sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Definitiv eine Empfehlung!

A little gem of a stop. Toilet block so clean it looks new. €5 into an honesty box which is an absolute bargain. No EHU. A short walk into the village with shops, pubs and eateries. Very friendly locals who seemed pleased that people stop here. I would highly recommend this place

Excellent, well-kept and efficiently run parkup at a reasonable rate. Toilet, waste dump, water fill, rubbish bins on hand, shop facilities a 15 minute walk, right beside the water. Thanks to whoever is responsible for providing this! Please take care of it, everyone, and leave no trace!

Brilliant parkup spot. The services were spotless and local volunteers very helpful. We stayed for 3 nights to shelter from Storm Agnes and recover from a nasty cold. Felt very safe and welcoming.

Met by a lovely local. Would recommend the pizza place in town! Space was nice but had lots of cars coming in to park for a few minutes and then leaving until quite late. As we were there with one other camper this felt disconcerting. The facilities were great but shower timer is quick and ate €2.

Super guter Platz.. Kauft mindestens etwas im Dorf ein. Der Preis ist doch recht günstig. Mit der dritten Telefonnummer anfangen, es scheint da ist immer jemand. Grauwasser haben wir nicht genraucht und haben auch nicht nachgeschaut wo es ist ...Nachdem man den Code hat, kann man das Geld im Sanitärhaus in den Briefkasten werfen. Seid ehrlich, tut das auch !!!!!

What a hidden Gem, full marks to those that developed this amenity, it’s perfect for an overnight or longer stay with only a short walk into a lovely village. Previous posters have covered all the amenities and services. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

Eine der wenigen Entsorgungsmöglichkeiten außerhalb von Campingplätzen. Musste alle drei Telefonnummern durchprobieren, um den Türcode zu erhalten. Die Tür klemmte ein wenig. Die Mülleimer waren im Gegensatz zu den sauberen Anlagen im Gebäude nicht gepflegt und randvoll.

Fabulous place! I highly recommend the “Corner Pub” for trad music, we were the only tourists there and the locals were so warm and fun. It’s cash only at the pub, so make sure you have cash, the locals kept pushing drinks onto us competing on who’s buying us the next drink, even though we kept refusing!! Such incredible fun night. Highly recommend the butcher, great meat, he will vacuum seal!

very quiet spot to recharge ,excellent toilet and shower new block spotless plenty space inside ,disabled friendly ,best yet on our tour. no hook up yet but being constantly improved. The people who look after could not be anymore helpful .

To use the toilet and shower block ask at the middle house for the code, if no one is in, ring or text the numbers on the door for the code. The information is clearly explained on the notice in three languages including the country codes for the telephone numbers. I don't know how it can be made any simpler!

what an amazing spot. since it is near houses we asked them if it is ok to park for the night. they were so happy we stayed. you could shower for 5 euros or get the code for the toillets for 2 euros. we didnt need it. dumping and freshwater is there as well. a few people came in the evening and chatted with us. lovely spot and highly recommended! we would come again :)

Ich fand den Platz nicht so gut. Man steht direkt vor bewohnten Häusern. Ein Anwohner hat gehupt als er gegangen ist und als er wieder kam. Jugendliche parken hier auch und sitzen im Auto.

Great stop over. Tried to get the code for the toilets but there was just a youngster in who did not know the code so we did not bother. We were here on a Saturday night walked into to town for food and a beer. Pubs dont do food, had fish and chips, would have been better eating at van. Ended up in the corner bar till 1.00am listening to music. Thanks for providing this facility.

exceptional place lovely people local pubs got good live music 5 minutes walk away what can I say other than this is one of the few places we need to protect. all the locals seem to support it happily now has free water tap and also toilrts and showers (at a cost, ask at house nearby for the code). also a toilet disposal. very flat and beautiful

10/10 - perfect location for a night. We contributed with 4€ to stay there. The tiny tiny town has some cute pubs (and pool table!) and we had a lovely night there. Would highly recommend!! Very safe and beautiful views.

Très bel endroit pour une nuit sympathique, l'endroit vaut le détour pour un prix très raisonnable.

Très bon endroit pour une pause, très calme et avec une belle vue. L'accès aux douches et toilettes est compliqué, les clés sont gérées par des volontaires, qui ne sont forcément pas toujours là. Toutefois. en remontant la route vers le village des robinets d'eau potable sont dans le cimetière, et des toilettes sont a côté de la plaine de jeux pour les enfants.

Vidange eaux noires effectivement (si difficile à trouver en général…): passer le petit giratoire au bateau, et c’est tout au fond à droite. Robinet d’eau potable au cimetière, contre la façade de la maison. Pas de vidange eaux grises, ni de wc.

pulled in around 21:30 after catching the ferry from Kerry. Only motorhome here. Had a knock on the door and expected to be moved on but instead it was the owner of a house opposite offering to open the toilets for us. You just have to love the Irish.

A new toilet block is now operating complete with shower. A small fee is payable to a lady living opposite for access. the carpark has been surface dressed and it is to be tarmacadam in the near future. Fresh water and black water disposal available outside free of charge. Great views across the estuary with Foynes facing opposite about 4 kms distant . Well worth a visit.

Comme pour les commentaires précédents, la porte de la petite maison blanche était verrouillée par une serrure à code. L'endroit où on peut vidanger la cassette de WC se trouve sur le côté de cette maison, en haut de la rampe d'accès. On y trouve un robinet à bouton pression, sans filetage, qui permet de rincer la cassette. Il y a aussi des petites poubelles.

Aucun service disponible. La petite maison blanche au milieu est fermée et accessible par un code.

Excellente nuit, calme et soleil au petit déjeuner. Aucun passage.

A lovely quiet night in a great spot shared by one other motorhome. Was able to empty our cassette etc and had a couple of drinks in the very friendly pubs nearby last night. A great view to wake up to as well.

Such a peaceful place! No height barrier and plenty of space. The local community group has built a shower and toilet block which unfortunately is not open yet, due to a few small jobs that need to be completed. But hopefully it will open soon. Black water disposal point is by the wheelchair ramp at the end of this building and there is a tap to flush out toilet cassettes (not drinking water).

A great overnight. Spent two nights here. There is a tap and somewhere to empty your cassette and it’s only 10 minutes walk into the village which has 4 pubs with a typical Irish welcome.
