(AB37 9ES) Ballindalloch - Lecht Road

Glenlivet Estate staat dag en nacht parkeren toe op diverse plekken in het Cairngorms National Park. Deze plek kijkt uit over een smalle vallei die leidt naar een oud mijnwerkers gebouw. Schapen grazen rond in deze omgeving en er zijn ook fazanten (Famous Grouse) die hier broeden. Er zijn vallen geplaatst voor vossen e.d. om de fazanten en hun nesten te beschermen. Houd de hond dus aan de lijn.

Dit plekje was ronduit geweldig! We stonden er als enige en het was ontzettend stil. Je kunt er nog een mooie wandeling maken. Het enige nadeel was, dat het er stikte van de midges. Omdat er een klein beekje langs gaat. Zelf door de hor van de camper kwamen ze binnen. Dit was een groot nadeel. Verder was de plek echt fantastisch!

We stopped there for a break, we enjoyed the sound of the river nearby, you can park up to 3 vans or 6 cars maximum. Please note you can hear the road also, probably not that much people over night.

Tucked away by a stream. Super quiet at night, light sleeper–slept well without earplugs. Gentle sound from stream. Off the main road, no houses in sight. Fairly level. Room for 3–4 vans. Good phone signal on Three and EE. Guided hiking groups start here. Worked from the van next day. Car park gets a bit busy during the day but space was fine. Trash bin present but full. Lovely, peaceful spot!

Rustige plek een klein stukje van de weg. De prullenbak die er stond zat overvol. In plaats van dat mensen hun afval meenemen, proppen ze het erbij. Doe dit niet, want dan mag je hier straks niet meer overnachten! We stonden er met 2 andere voertuigen. Er start een korte wandeling hier naar een oude groeve.

Top Platz für 3 bis 4 Fahrzeuge.

Bellissimo. Ci siamo solo fermati ma è un ottimo posto sia per passare la notte che fermarsi per una sosta e breve camminata.

Natur pur, super ruhig nur die Scharfe waren zu hören.

Je ne sais pas si la réception est aléatoire, et dépendante de la météo,mais aujourd'hui, brouillard et pluie, 4G à fond !!!

Nuit au calme , avec petit ruisseau et randonnée à faire jusqu'à une ancienne mine. vraiment super . De plus une biche nous a fais un petit coucou dans les colines c'était magique. Par contre je rejoins d'autres commentaires nous n'avions aucun réseaux. Mais je recommande cet endroit et merci de le laisser propre il y a une poubelle à disposition.

Verrassende plek midden in de bergen. Riviertje, wandelroute en wilde dieren voor de camper. Hieronder staan reviews waarbij mensen aangeven goed signaal te hebben; echter hadden wij 0,0 signaal (Wat we stiekem best prettig vonden).

lovely quiet spot off the road. Next to a babbling Brook and a nice walk down to the mine buildings.

J'y suis restée la nuit du 27/09/2023. Nous étions 4 vans. Bon emplacement un peu éloigné de la route qui est peu passante la nuit. Promenades sympa à faire dans les environs le lendemain matin. Bons signaux téléphonique et 4G. Attention à votre vitesse quand vous arrivez, quelques trous sur le chemin pour descendre.

Amazing spot right in a small valley and close to a river. A bit secured from the road.

Beautiful place and quite level for up to 3 vans. Abundant wild raspberries and bilberries. Avoid in July/August unless it's windy - the air is thick with midges morning & night to the point that we daren't leave the van! We may return in May or October...

Superbe endroit. Fait la nuit du 18/08 Genial j'étais en van et il y avait juste un camping car à notre arrivée vers 18h. Les moutons étaient là à côté de nous pour nous accueillir. Tres venteux cette nuit là mais en faisant face à la route le vent glissait le long de la tente de toit. Vraiment calme malgré la pluie. Nous n'avons pas utilisé les poubelles car pleines et avons repris nos déchets

Mooie plek voor een overnachting. Er was nog een ander busje. Je kan nog goed wandelen Er lag helaas heel veel troep. Overvolle vuilnisbak. Waarom neemt niemand toch zijn eigen rotzooi niet mee?

Spot sympa pour dormir, parking pas très grand et beaucoup de passage le matin pour faire une petite balade vers une ancienne mine. Petit ruisseau le long, calme et joli.. Pas très grand pour les camping-cars, attention aux manœuvres

Très tranquille pour une nuit au son de la rivière. Près de la route mais aucune gêne poir la nuit.

Off the main road, no phone signal on EE or Vodafone so you’ll be completely off grid! Perfect location to visit the Lecht Mine and relax! In winter the track down can become frozen and will need good winter tyres!

Access on a busy road bend- can be tricky for larger vehicles. The surrounding area has had a lot of tree felling- it looks ugly. I decided to sack it off and carry on my journey. The spot is level and hard standing but everywhere else was muddy when I visited. There is a bin here and am I donation board about the mine.

Peaceful spot for an overnight stop, level parking for at least three campers if facing south. No midgies at this time of year, but remarkably there were wild blueberries close by!

Well off the road, space for about 3 campers. Next to a stream and nice walks. Only thing that let it down was the midges.. Never seen them so bad, eaten alive just putting the windscreen cover on! Would be a nice spot with a good breeze.

Lovely spot and nicely off the main road. Follow the sign for Lecht Mine. Lovely stroll to the Mine house and perfect for a photo shoot. The site is quiet enough for naturist walks and good views to spot anyone coming along. Great for the dogs, but rife with ticks, so be sure to check your pups and cover your ankles and legs if you wonder into the long grass. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Full signal on EE. Nothing on O2. Great little spot and the launch pad to some lovely walks.

Good spot to stay overnight. Flat ground with on-site bin although overflowing at time of staying. No mobile signal - might be a positive for some :)

Beautiful place to park up, but was absolutely swarming with midges.

Used this space to shelter from Storm Caira over night. Really lovely spot at which we would have stayed longer but we left pretty quick once the snow came down for fear of getting stuck as it does dip down from the road. Really enjoyed exploring the old Lecht Mine and hills around.

Stunningly beautiful place, not to be missed. Good for dog walking but observe request for keeping on a lead if live stock around.

Emplacement très sympathique au bord de l'eau et au calme. Assez protégé du vent donc il y a beaucoup de midges. La rivière est très froide mais pratique pour se doucher ou faire la vaisselle. Suffisamment de places pour 3 véhicules.

Endroit magnifique à proximité d'une rivière. Très tranquille car à l'écart de la route. Au départ d'une petite balade bien sympathique pour un réveil du bon pied !

Très bel endroit en retrait de la route qui n'est pas du tout passante la nuit, calme total, petit ruisseau très agréable. Pour profiter longtemps de nuits en pleine nature pensez à ramasser tous vos détritus, y compris le papier toilette. D'autant qu'une poubelle est a disposition sur le parking

Sehr schöner Stellplatz. Ab ca. 20:00 Uhr fast kein Verkehr. Kein Handyempfang auf dem Platz / Tal vorhanden.

Parking pour 3-4 voitures en retrait de la route avec une aire de pique-nique et le départ de randonnées dans les monts autour. Super vue !
