New sign up saying no overnights, but as a previous poster has stated, it’s likely to be unenforceable. Safe area. Mainly a large sports area/fields. Monskeaton metro 5 mins away. Space for dogs to run off leash. Enclosed park for younger kids. No cafe but there is Fayres Fayre in Monkseaton Metro station which is lovely and places to eat in Monkseaton over the bridge. Also bowling, tennis courts.

Spoke to North Tyneside Council about the recent yellow sign that was installed. Not legal. As you were!

Nice parking area. quiet. Nice little park for kids.

At end of a nice residential street in Monkseaton. Big car park. Only van there. Very quiet. As a woman alone I was a little wary but all was fine

Large, mainly level, parking area next to playing fields and an all weather running track. Easy access and no height barriers; plenty of room to manoeuvre. There were some lads in cars chatting until about 11pm but they weren’t a concern. You could leave your van here and catch the Metro at Monkseaton into town.

This spot is lovely but definitely came on the wrong day, must be football on a Wednesday, car park full to the brim really busy, can’t even try to leave as too many cars unable to get out.

quiet spot close to amenities such as shops and metro

Flat car park next to recreation ground. Really quiet. A few dog walkers around and houses next to the park but not close enough to see/be seen. Feels very safe. Easy 15 min. cycle down to the front/Spanish City, less than half an hour to walk. Some shops nearby too. Also very near to a Metro station so you could easily get into Newcastle too.
