The "Zum Grubengeist" campground is reopening on September 20, 2025, under the management of its two highly motivated owners, Danny and Christian. The creation date shown on Park4Night (September 29, 2018) is incorrect, and Park4Night cannot change it. Upon arrival, please do not use the street "An der Dampfmühle." You will arrive in a residential area. Please refer to the photo of the entrance. Payment is simple: leave your payment in an envelope at the "Kohlebunker" (coal bunker) or pay in advance for reservations. Arrival: Arrivals are possible every day from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You will find a site map under the "Book Now" button. Choosing your pitch: Select an available, marked pitch and park your vehicle respecting the markings on the ground and without obstructing neighboring pitches. Always maneuver carefully. Departure: Please leave the campsite before noon on your departure day. On Sundays, you can stay until 6:00 PM, unless the pitch is already reserved. For any departure from Monday to Saturday before 6:00 PM, a €5 surcharge will be applied. Late departures will incur an additional charge for the night. Late departures are only possible if the pitch is not reserved. If you are looking for peace and quiet, Grubengeist is the perfect place. Here, you can sleep soundly. Let's go! Open the gate, enter, close it, choose your preferred pitch, and enjoy your day. If you wish, you can park in the paved area at the front, after the gate, or at the rear, on the gravel/grass between the hedges, and watch the rabbits frolic. Peace and quiet, running water and wastewater disposal, showers/toilets, and 100 liters of water. Your four-legged friend is welcome. We also provide a dishwashing area. And that's not all! Beautifully located campsite in the Brachter Wald nature reserve, a former British munitions depot. The place has permanent motorhomes and tourist pitches for camping or for caravans, motorhomes. There are many wide grass pitches with electricity. Very quiet at night and suitable for both a night out and excursions in the nature reserve. Excellent value !

After 1 year of closure, the campsite is open again! We, Bart and Jamie Heuvelmans, are the new owners of this beautiful, secluded camper place on the outskirts of the village of Maasbree. If you like cycling and walking, there are beautiful routes to several beautiful places in North Limburg. We welcome you to the camper place (if not longer than 8 m).
