Endroit très fréquenté pendant la journée. Pour être certain d’avoir de la place,Venez tôt le matin ou en soirée .Nous avons passé une excellente nuit dans le calme. Nous étions trois mobilehomes. Vue imprenable. Possibilité de belles promenades. Endroit à recommander sans hésitation.

Sehr busy. Schöne Aussicht. Liegt direkt an der Hadrians Wall und am Footpath. Netter Spaziergang zum Lancaster Priory an der Hadrians Wall entlang möglich (1,5-2 Stunden). Mülleimer vorhanden.

Wonderful spot with stunning views out across the valley to Pennines. A bin is the only service as such, but the road is quiet, ensuring a safe passage through the night. Ideal stopover if heading to or from Scotland. There were four others overnighting in mid- August. Big rec from us. Safe.

Amazing views. Right on Hadrians Wall. Nice grassy picnic area. Very quiet spot. Not many places though. Would probably fit about 5 vans.

stunning. peaceful and exists! plenty of room.There were 6 vehicles when I pulled up.My camper is 6m, so tucked in nicely. there were longer camper with bikes on too. I felt it might be a bit risky as the road is unlit, and there were a couple of racers out early on. I recommend this spot. Enjoy

Erstklassige Lage. Direkt an der Hadrian‘s Wall. Keine vorbei fahrenden Autos. Sehr ruhig. Ca. 8 Stellplätze

Great view, middle of nowhere. I wouldn’t try and find this place at night as there are no street lights but it’s a great spot to spend a night.

Super emplacement pour une nuit. La vue est splendide. L a route derrière n'est pas du tout passante la nuit. Les enfants peuvent jouer en sécurité dans les champs en dessous. Et, cerise sur le gâteau, un morceau du mur d'Hadrien est juste là, à quelques mètres des campings cars. 7 véhicules (campings-car et vans plus petits) se sont serrés pour y passer la nuit.

C’est juste magnifique et très calme

Heerlijke plek met geweldig uitzicht! Wanneer slaap je nou bovenop een Romeins bouwwerk.

Great park up with an amazing view. Can probably get a bit rocky in stormy conditions but the view more than makes up for that. Four other campers and motorhomes parked up when we were there but plenty of space and one we were near probably sheltered us from the wind.

Wide open views in all directions across miles of the landscape & nearby are great villages with local shops.

five stars but the rangers did stop and look at my van but did nothing. If you stayed more than a night they may move you on.

Beautiful location, Parking is owned by English Heritage, Free for EH members with a suggested £2 donation for non members, details to right hand side of parking area. Bins emptied early morning. Superb coffee at the Roman fort just up the road.

Great views, parking a bit tight at 7.5m but made it. 4 of us overnight. Can’t say it was a quiet night as it was very windy so rock and roll.

Fantastic spot right on Hadrians wall with walking / cycling paths both ways. Beautiful views. No problem with parking our 6.5M , a little sloping and lots of cars and walkers coming and going … nearest the info board is the widest. Bins at other side . The road is busy and fast therefore 4 stars …but for free and to be so close to the wall ruins .. great spot !

6mtr van stayed overnight. Wonderful views with the odd passing car and hiker. Just next to Hadrians Walk and the ruins of an old fort point. Alright signal on EE and O2

Perfekter idyllischer Platz, eben, total ruhig zusammen mit 5 anderen unter6 m gut gestanden. Bitte nichts Großes längs asozial parkieren, dafür ist kein Platz da!!!!!

Super vue. Endroit avec les moutons et le mur . Il doit cependant avec une base militaire pas loin car il y avait des hélicoptères. La nuit fut calme.

Reached by small quiet roads, fabulous view. Please park end-on, not across, and it's a bit deeper at the end without the bins. Still, longer than 6.5 m would struggle. A gem.

This is an outstanding view of the valley. On the 72 cycle route and literally on Hadrian’s Wall. The site has direct walks from it, dogs on lead. The remains of Turret 52A observation tower are here and a lawned grass area, perfect for a picnic. There is a bin on site and not one scrap of litter! By 7pm there was no traffic. Prior to this there was a vehicle going past about every 10m. Thanks!

Our favourite stop over yet! We arrived quite late, so were amazed by the view we woke up to! -flat -incredibly quiet -3 motorhomes and a few cars fit easily -no traffic until morning, when the occasional car, cyclist or walker passed by

Just down the lane from Birdoswald Fort which is amazing. The views along here are fantastic and it's very quiet. Not even cars passing after 10pm and just a couple around 8am next day. A great spot and handy for the Lakes or the rest of the Wall. You are literally parked on it here!

Très belle vue, et facilement accessible. Nombre de places limitées, bien se garer en épi sans empiéter sur la route. Randonneurs et visiteurs de passage le matin (parking sur sentier de randonnée). Poubelles publiques.

Pour une nuit, vue exceptionnelle, un peu de passage en soirée mais nuit calme

Great place to stop. flat and quiet. Nice walk along wall trail, and great views.

It is a good spot. It is in a bay, just besides the road however it is a big bay. Not dangerous spot, and very very quiet. Outstanding high ground view at night.

Super spot. Nuit calme et vue géniale. Bien se garer en épi et pas en travers pour ne pas bloquer trop de places. C’est la moindre des choses car les gens du coin viennent admirer la vue aussi et au matin 2 énormes camions à bestiaux sont venus charger.

Spot pour une nuit où nous étions seuls. Quasi pas de passage, quelques voitures au matin pour la vue. C'est très sympa, je recommande!

really pleased with this park up, the odd car, but slept really well. the scenery is amazing. another bonus it has bins and is clean and tidy xx

Stopped here for one night, nice view…. little (vw split screen) coffee van there till 5-6pm no signs saying about £2 charge or overnight parking and no traffic through the night

Very nice spot with a great view and a flock of sheep as your neighbours. Gets very windy up here , did not bother us personally but wouldn't recommend on windy days if you are a bad sleeper. Almost no traffic on the road either.

Schöne Aussicht. Direkt neben dem Hadrainswall. Die SMS mit 2£ konnte bei uns nicht zugestellt werden, aber wir blieben trotzdem.

Nous sommes tombés sur cet endroit un peu par hasard, en longeant le mur d'Hadrien à vélo le long de la route 72. La vue est exceptionnelle et l'endroit est un vestige intéressant d'un promontoire faisant partie du mur romain. Excellente halte pour un pique-nique. Peu de passage. On peut payer son stationnement par SMS.

Stayed here last night. I was the only van. Great views. Fairly quiet road during the day, maybe five cars per hour. At night, from 8pm to 8am, very quiet. Good 4G signal. Parked on a slight slope, but not enough to worry about ramps for. One rubbish bin. Very clean.

Great views, and has its own section of the wall. There was one very small sign asking for £2, but nobody came by looking. Quite a few cars came and parked up for a little while until sunset, but I was the only one that stayed. Plenty of space! There was one man who parked up and just sat staring at me, had to get on the phone to a friend then he’d leave, but he didn’t come back - just be careful!

Fantastic view, no facilities, very quiet at night. Chap selling coffee during the day at weekends. Flat level parking bay, plenty of room for a long vehicle. The Priory is down the road with cafe and toilets; customers only. Managed by English Heritage £2 fee to park by text.

Nice place to stop for the night we share car park with 1 camervan and motorhome very quiet after 9pm

Fantastic spot! Great views. Parked the van with wonderful views each side. Nice dog walks too. Just the odd speedy driver at night but very peaceful rest.

Gorgeous view, right on the wall path for walks. There was a sign for £3 charge to park, which you pay by texting a number. Small contribution for ability to park. Deep enough to reverse my long wheel base van in to have nice views and leave space for others.

Great views, nice and quiet. There is a small and out of the way sign saying that parking costs £2, but I don't think most people parking there even noticed it.

Great views. Lots to see, great walks, cycling nearby. Busy with sightseers, dogwalkers daytime. Peaceful, quiet nights.

Had a stop over here on Sunday. Views are stunning and a very chilled place even though it’s a very popular stop of for cars.
