Très grand parking, juste en face du château de Bamburgh ! Il offre la possibilité de visiter le joli petit village à quelques pas. Pas mal de poubelles à proximité, et un petit food truck sur le parking.

Amazing location. Very large gravel car park, just opposite Bamburgh Castle! It offers the possibility of visiting the pretty little village a few steps away. Can't be booked on the day. £75 Tickets given at 6am if not booked !

Better free parking available in bamburgh on the front street, with toilets and pubs close by.

  • 2/5

Paid £12.00 to park ,was in bay1 and was woken up by the bins getting emptied at 07.00,then there was people using the bottle bank ,wont be using again.

  • 2/5

locals party in this lot, spin their tires on the gravel, and play loud music until very late, even on weeknights. The online booking was not easy to find. it's on the Northumberland council website. there are QR codes on the signs that say you can pay without reserving ahead if a space is available. if they could get rid of the noisy, racing, partiers this would be a 4 star site.(no toilets)

  • 2/5

A lot of boy racers about and at 8am you need to pay 6.50 to stay for 3 hours. Good location near castle but probably wouldn’t stay again. People parking in your reserved bay as well! Had to get them to move. Tedious. The signs by the council need to be much clearer, don’t stay here unless you have paid. It’s a shame, because in the evening we were there we spent around £50 in local businesses.

  • 2/5

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot for castle. Expensive in day. Drive past castle round corner through village and cheaper big car park on right by church for daytime (only saw after paying to extend original booking think was £5 for day)

  • 5/5

Stunning location, right next to Bamburgh Castle & town. Lovely quiet night, when car park empties. You need to book online, in advance as its very popular. 10 motorhome spaces during the day, reduced to 5 for overnight, with a safety space between each. Toilets in town open all night. Warning : Car park wardens come around at 6am & ticket anyone without a booking including on a Sunday!

  • 4/5

Overnight must be booked online 24 hrs in advance at least, for 5 bays only. Warden comes around checking registrations etc. Great location but expensive to park outside the 6pm to 8pm overnight slot. Bins but no services. Toilets in the village daytime only. Daytime parking for 10 vans until 6pm only.

  • 1/5

£12 to park from 6pm to 8am then £10 to park from 8am to 6pm £22 is to much for caparking spaces that are so closely sandwiched together, I wouldn't stay again!

  • 4/5

Must book in advance as we arrived and booked what we thought was the carpark from the scan code but someone else arrived who'd already booked and turned out we'd booked the nearest alternative car park at Beadnell ?... Was all fine but lots arriving looking for space so definitely book a day or two in advance. Beadnell was lovely anyway so all good and only 12 mins down the coast with toilets.

  • 4/5

Excellent place to stop with great views of the castle, lit up at night. Close to the beach. No services so need to be fully self sufficient. public toilets 5mins walk away. But beware- you must book day before or earlier. You cannot book on the day. And you cannot pay at the machine for overnight parking. 2 van owners woke up to £50 parking tickets because they hadn't booked online.

  • 5/5

Booked 24 hrs in advance - all good once we had sussed each bay has two parking slots… The village is a 10 min walk - you’ve got pubs, toilets & a few shops. The ability to book is a double edged sword but at least the local council are trying to embrace vans.

  • 3/5

We didn't stay over but parked for an hr in the hope overnight parking booking would work at 6pm. there are motorhome bays for overnight parking from 6pm. QR code takes you to the webpage but no options for us, turns out people are pretty organised & pre-book so we and one other van got asked to move as we were in a pre-booked space. so if you can't select a parking bay online, it's been booked!

  • 5/5

great car park. like others have said book in advance. brilliant views of the castle

  • 5/5

Definitely book in advance. Arrived late no problems at all(they don’t lock the site up), unfortunately only 1 stay allowed but great peaceful night sleep. Short walk to the castle aswell. Pay by phone app can be used to extend parking in the morning.

  • 1/5

Got here on a cold Tuesday morning in April. Not another van in sight, but the council app say it’s fully booked. Recommend to book in advance if you want to stop here. Thankfully I’ve got plenty of time to find somewhere else

  • 5/5

Stayed one night on 29/03/24. Park up was very quiet and great night's sleep after walking into village for a pub meal. We pre-booked a place a few weeks in advance but there were some other vans parked in the non authorised spots who ended up with a parking ticket early in the morning,

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot under the castle. Book and pay online. 5 bays for motorhomes. Carpark gets very dark as unlit at night. Vacate by 8am unless you pay extra at machine. Close to village. However, evidence of "donuts" on tarmac, but no antisocial behaviour when we were there. Lovely walk on the beach/around the castle.

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot looking up at the castle. Didn’t stay but there were plenty of bins to use and such a beautiful location

  • 4/5

Right in the shadow of Bamburgh Castle, flat tarmac pitches in a council car park. There are five bays that you can book online either in advance, or rock up and scan the QR code and hope it's free. Bins and recycling on site but no other facilities. A five minute walk from the castle and beach, and ten minutes from the nearest pub.

  • 5/5

A totally fabulous spot to stop overnight, subject to availability. I'd recommend booking in advance, as there are only 5 overnight spaces. The spots in between can be used during the day, but are fire gaps after 6pm and therefore not bookable on line for overnight. struggled on EE network but Giff Gaff was fine. Well worth £12. Three car parks in Northumberland are in the trial

  • 4/5

Midweek stop, we got the last available spot of the 5 arriving at 4pm. Payed by phone but frustrating as the payment was only from 6pm to 8am and extra costs minimum £6 before and after. Nice spot to stop though, easy walk into village and local shop and pub. Hill up to castle may be difficult if you have mobility issues but there is a car park at the top which is £4.

  • 1/5

Arrived here and one available space but despite scanning the qr code for space 3 in Bamburgh it only showed me space 3 in Beadnell.... so unsure if someone else had booked it. After considerable stress we left and found a great free spot down The Wynding by the golf club.

  • 4/5

5 pre bookable bays via the £12 permit. free hour on arrival or in the morning. Used bay 4 and our 8.73 autotrail was fine, it would also have bay 5. There were camper vans in bays 1,2 and 3. No toilets. Quite quiet at night, right opposite the castle. We stayed here last week Thursday night.

  • 4/5

level, easy to book online a week before. was full on a Wednesday night in Sept. 12.00 for 18;00-08,00 we arrived 10am to visit parking that was £9.50 but covered 24 hours so we had until 10am following morning. you can walk the coastal path to sea houses 3 miles. public toilets 10 min walk to village. there was bins but nothing else.

  • 4/5

Lovely view of the castle and close to village and beach bit confusing how to pay but we had to book a space on the website and pay there’s only about 5 spaces for motor home to sleep and some people try and park between the marked spaces overall nice place

  • 4/5

Lovely location beneath the castle. Bins are the only facilities. And quiet night. The sign - has website - you need to book an overnight stay on - this is £12 per night 6pm to 8am. If you are in the car park outside these hours you need to buy a car park ticket from the machine.

  • 1/5

Beautiful spot, but we got a parking ticket. Totally unclear how booking an overnight place worked. The site mentioned at the info sign stated the trial ended march 2023. We couldn't find the numbers of the spaces (we had the last spot and later saw that there where signs BEHIND 5 campers.Ticket machines had an issue, didn't accept cards. So finally paid by phone. But it still was wrong I guess

  • 5/5

10 motorhome spaces from 8am until 6pm, then reduced to 5 motorhome spaces for overnight stay, bookable on the council website(links road car park). Book in advance recommend, (2 unbooked vehicles fined by 7am.)most beautiful view of the castle. Beach is accessible opposite, and pubs available for food and drink less than a minute away. Will book again

  • 3/5

Haben nicht übernachtet, Hunde sind im aussenbereich im Schloss erlaubt. Oben gibt es einen günstigeren Parkplatz.

  • 4/5

Toller grosser Parkplatz direkt gegenüber der Burg und dem Strand!

  • 4/5

Booked online that day for 1 night arrived at 6 and our allocated bay was free. Easy walk to pub ‘the castle’ in Bamburgh. Lovely food. Friendly staff. Unfortunately a camper had parked in the non overnight bay next to us so closely we could just about get into our van. Peaceful sleep

  • 3/5

Le parking est plat, relativement calme avec une belle vue sur le château. 12 £ sans services c'est un peu cher

  • 3/5

Great location next to castle/beach but no services, other than litter bin. Very tight time 6pm -8pm for £12. Outside of that extra parking charges apply. Only 2 of us here tonight.

  • 3/5

basic , no amenties, QR code to pay for bays. TIGHT bays. Right next to castle.

  • 5/5

£12 per night now but very quiet spot, level and super convenient for the castle and beach walks. Village only 5 minute walk away.

  • 1/5

Noe have to pay for overnight parking £12 and have to book online in advance

  • 1/5

App didn’t work and there were more than ‘the council’s’ limit of 6 campers already parked up. Moved on.

  • 2/5

A bit uninspiring. We had booked and paid in advance but didn’t like it when we arrived and moved to a nearby free spot.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, that are temporarily doing overnight trials via the council website, it’s £12 to stay over night from 8pm-8am, there are portaloo’s outside the car park! Amazing view of the castle and the beach is literally a stone throw away, says online only 6 bays available but there was about 10 campers/motor homes here last night! Highly recommend

  • 3/5

Utilising the new pay and stay facility (£12). Arrived at 3pm and decided we wanted to stay till early afternoon the next day so we could see the village and walk the beach, that cost an extra £8. So, actually, not great value given there are no services and spaces are tight. Still, it's a great location for the castle and the superb beach.

  • 4/5

Il y a six emplacements pour camping car. £12 la nuit sans service. Nous n'y sommes pas restés car trop cher à notre avis, mais bien situé !

  • 2/5

Great area, but stopped to pay for overnight stay and website said no spaces available, even tho 5 bays empty (we even had a walk past late at night and still empty) ended up stopping in the village for free and eat and drank in the local pub.

  • 5/5

overnight stays now allowed £12 6pm -8am £4.50 for additional 3 hours. must book online Only 6 bays available. book on Northumberland Council website no services. Designated BAYS are very Small. can only book 1 night consecutively.. Castle us lit up at night

  • 2/5

Arrived here hoping to stay overnight. Evidence of motorhome parking road markings but signage still very ambiguous! Get a grip council, how can it be this difficult! Read previous reviews and moved to Front Street instead, perfect! Had it not been for Front Street we would have moved on, depriving local businesses of our beer and food custom!

  • 5/5

Parked here last night. Four other campers parked up too. Quiet with no trouble. Came after reading article about council agreeing to allow parking at a few spots in the area. Signs still not clear as to what is allowed. Two separate codes now though on the pay to park app. One for cars and one for campers and coaches. Allows you to pay £10 for 24hours x

  • 3/5

It’s great during the day but not overnight yet! I rang the council and they are awaiting planning permission and hope to have something in place by Easter.

  • 4/5

It's apparently awaiting planning consent for overnight parking . Northumberland CC have chosen this and 2 other car park sites to propose for overnight motorhomes but this one is only one where plans have been submitted . waiting fur a call from council to see where they're up to with it

  • 4/5

Paid and displayed 24hr ticket. But attendant visited at 7am with £50 fine for ‘parking in a parking place for a purpose other than the designated purpose for the parking place’ . What????? Signage is extremely ambiguous.

  • 5/5

Very nice place with views to the castle and a nice walk around it. Portable toilets open and quite clean. There were other 5-6 motorhomes with us. We bought the 24h ticket just in case (could pay by card) and we had no issues at all.

  • 4/5

Good place to park, does say no overnight parking or camping, but you can buy upto 72 hours parking. Got talking to some people who had been there for a couple of days and had no bother. Then we woke this morning to a parking ticket. 6.30am been stuck on window.. so been warned..

  • 5/5

Great spot with toilets available, few bins on the car park and within walking distances to the beach .great view on the castle, sleep very well .highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Was quite windy but otherwise quiet and a popular spot (at least 5 other campers). Currently also has portable toilets many of which are very clean.

  • 2/5

No hight restrictions, there are signs stating no sleeping cooking etc, however you are allowed to stay for 72hrs so quite conflicting information. we stayed the night along side around 10 other motorhomes. aslong as your respectful, keep the noise down and leave no rubbish i can't see staying being an issue

  • 5/5

No height barrier, approx 20 bays specifically for campers/motorhomes. tarmac floor, half the bays are perfectly flat the others are on the tilt sideways. parking info is conflicting as it clearly states no overnight parking, however it also says you can stay upto 72hrs. The ticket is only valid until 1800hrs but i bought a 24hr ticket for £5.50 anyway. Two other motorhomes stayed the night also, no problems, nice and quiet and the castle looks amazing!!

  • 4/5

Arrived late, only 1 other camper parked. Very quiet car park with a great view of the castle. We stayed over night with no hassle.

  • 4/5

Parked up for night, several other camper vans spaced out around the car park. Very quite and peaceful and a wonderful view to war to.

  • 4/5

Stayed here for a quiet night. beaitiful castle and a verry nice beach right around the corner.

  • 4/5

Ein sehr schöner und ruhiger Platz.

  • 4/5

Some very large spots for coaches, worked well for our motorhome. Was very busy during the day, but only one other motorhome with us overnight. Watched a fox strolling through the park at dusk. Very quiet stay. Would recommend, very nice views of castle.

  • 4/5

Massive carpark next to the castle but unfortunately no camping, cooking, overnighters allowed. I did it in anyway without problems even though I was the only one there during the night and felt a bit anxious getting into trouble.

  • 5/5

Stopped overnight. 4 other campervans on car park. No attendant.
