Excellent location. clpse to the centre and the Menin Gate. Couple of other motorhomes, had no trouble and spent a quiet night.

De parking is voor bussen, auto's en campers. Helemaal achteraan links staan de campers geparkeerd, de bussen vooraan links. Te voet naar de Menenpoort voor "The Last Post" om 20.00 uur duurt 20 minuten. Mooie historische stad, bij Bureau de Tourisme wandel- en fietsroutes gratis verkrijgbaar. Rondgang over de vestingmuren goed te doen, gracht rondom. Geen last gehad qua geluid van weg of treinen

free, convenient, early wake up with the level crossing even on Sundays. glad we couldn't get in at the youth stadium.

Parked here to visit Ypres, a great location with lots of space. Easy walk to the Menin Gate stayed 2 nights as arrived too late for the 8pm ceremony on the first night. Ypres is a beautiful city.

Big space with other campers. Perfect little place for a stopover.

Large area and quiet except for odd train passing at night but close to the town 5min walk. Stayed two nights

Not first time we have used it. Will use again. All good, was busy with coaches & lorries, but plenty of room. Tip - park by the campers,facing road back to train line, it’s level & you’re not disturbed by the Lorrie’s leaving early. No facilities, not even bins :-(

Parking spacieux. Idéalement placé pour visiter la ville. Légèrement bruyant dû au passage des voitures.

We needed an overnight spot after arriving late and this place was perfect. Lots of other vans there. Easily within walking distance of everything. Noticed a few were making this their main base. No facilities but a great location.

Stayed here for an overnight stop. It is next to a train line apparently they run all night. But it didn’t bother us. It’s a Short walk into the centre. Nothing glamorous but for one night it’s fine. Public toilet not too far. Take your own toilet roll though!

I would recommend for a night. No facilities. It isn't clear when toilet at the train station opens/closes, push the door to get in. A short walk to the Grote Markt. I wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper as trains run through the night

Parcheggio gratuito a 5/10 minuti a piedi dal centro della città. Abbiamo passato una notte tranquilla qui insieme ad altri camper, camion e bus. Fondo non livellato ma nessun problema per piazzare il camper. Rifornimento conveniente nei paraggi.

Prima plek om te staan. Het is een parkeerplaats voor auto’s, bussen, vrachtwagens en dus ook campers. We staan nu met 4 campers dus niet druk. Binnen 10 min loop je in de stad. 2 x in het uur komt er een trein langs dus niet noemenswaardig. Wij vinden het een top plekje.

Une nuit sur place, un peu bruyant à cause des trains mais très bien pour visiter la ville.

Good place to park, 10 minutes into town centre. Road was quite at night and an occasional train through night which didn't bother us. Pretty flat ground. All in all a great nights sleep.

fijne plek, vandaag druk vanwege een festival, normaal ook verkeer & trein, maar nooit onveilig. dichtbij goedkope benzinepomp & centrum.

Zalige locatie dat dicht gelegen is bij het centrum van Ieper! Amper last van de passerende treinen (enkel in de ochtend).

Parked here during the day to visit Ypres & it was a great location with lots of space. Easy loop walk to the Ramparts Cemetery, the Menin Gate then into the city before heading back to the van.

Ideal for stopover and visit to town. Uneven in places.

Was perfect. Just make sure you don't park infront of used gate.

Ideal place to park for a day visit to the centre of Ypres/Leper. Near the railway station and approx 20 mins walk from Menin Gate. Not sure if I would stay the night here. The road is busy so it would be noisy

grande, vicino al centro (neanche 10minuti) e gratis. non consiglierei il pernottamento solo perché vicino a stradone ma per la visita della città è ottimo! grazie grazie! Ieper bellissima!

Had a good night here. Easy access, big spaces. Easy walk into town, but pretty much everything is closed on a Sunday. We managed to grab a coffee, but left fairly quickly as the town was dead. I’m sure would be lovely when busier, but not feeling the town on Sunday in January.

OK for one night, the town centre is just a short walk away. In between a busy road and railway line but quiet at night.

I spent 23- 27/09/24. it was peaceful and ideal for visiting the centre and the surrounding area. Just remember there is no service, so you need to be self-contained. The trains are very quiet and none intrusive.

geslapen hebben wij er niet. maar prima parking voor een bezoek aan de stad. zelfs de grootste campers kunnen hier staan.

festival del ruido..El último tren a las 23,50h..el primero a las 5h..,después más trenes y mucho tráfico.. si eres sordo puedes dormir tranquilo.. Por lo demás..,cerca del pueblo..

Stayed here last night, it's convenient for town, loads of space, but was awake most of the night as trains do run through the night and kept me awake. It would be ok if you are heavy sleeper.

Spot was okay for my van lots of room, the train doesn't ride at night time, no trash can or other facilities, its a decent spot when you want to go to the city centre

Spent two nights here, no issues at all. Train isn't even noisy! So convenient to walk into Ypres town through the park. you must see the buglers who play every night at the Menin Gate at 8pm, so humbling. Just recycling for glass bottles only, no bins but it was free so can't expect anymore than that.

Grote parking op 2km afstand van centrum. Hier kan je met grote campers staan.bj Wij hebben hier 2 nachten geslapen. Wel loopt er een treinspoor aan de achterkant, snachts rijdt de trein wel niet. Geen faciliteiten, ondergrond verhard/steenpuin.

Attention ! Nous sommes arrivés le soir et nous nous sommes fait exclure de ce parking à 23h par la police. Le policier nous a expliqué qu'il est interdit de séjourner la nuit sur toute la commune de Ypres. La seule possibilité était maintenant le camping. Dommage, ça avait l'air d'être une jolie ville.

If you need a large, open area of hardstanding to park your motorhome for nothing then this could be what you are looking for! We just parked for the day and there was plenty of room even with a few coaches and heavy goods vehicles added to the cars and other campers. Just by the station so easy to find and only a very short walk to the central area of the town. Will be back!

Free, and great location so you can walk through the park to reach the beautiful town. Big site so plenty of room. Not very attractive, and if you are sensitive to noise the road is extremely busy early morning and evening, plus a few trains run, but it quietens down overnight and we had a great night's sleep. Used the services at the Aire south of town.

Wij stonden alleen op deze plek. Verkeer viel mee en de treinen komen na kwart over 11 niet meer langs. Het is een aanrader.

Useful parking area in Ypres, no services just free parking with the area fully illuminated throughout the night. The adjacent road is not too noisy and quiet during the night the same can be said for the rail line on the other side of the parking area - don't think the trains run through the night.

Pratique mais bruyant entre route, chemin de fer et concert jusqu’à minuit. Grand et 4 g ok

Stor yta, här ryms många husbilar och långtradare. Parkering mitt mellan en trafikerad väg och järnvägen. Ändå lugnt. Promenadavstånd till centrum, som var mycket sevärt. Skulle absolut stå här igen!

Stayed here overnight in april 23, Good spot for anyone who is self contained, no amenities on site but plenty nearby, 10-15 minute walk to the town centre. would definitely use again when in the area.

très calme car le train ne circule pas la nuit et à 13 mn à pied du centre ville . Nous y avons passé 2 nuits . Ypres est vraiment une très belle ville . le parking se trouve aux pieds des remparts d' où l'on a fait une grande ballade très agréable. De nombreuses pistes cyclables tout autour d' Ypres et qui traversent des forêts.

Mi sono fermato per tre notti. È semplicemente un parcheggio, senza servizi. Illuminato, in pari e con il fondo percorribile anche con il maltempo. Tranquillo e silenzio di notte. Non essendovi alberi il pannello fotovoltaico carica molto bene le batterie. Ideale per visitare il centro città.

stopped here for a couple of nights. 10 mins walk into ypres. the main bus terminal and train is right next door. ( and you can click on English) . it can be a bit noisy now and again. the area is lit up at night, Great for security. there is a service point a couple of miles away ( it's marked on the app ) domino's pizza is about 200 metres away. this place is great for solar charging(no trees)

Stayed for 2 nights. There were 2 campers with us. It was a little noisy but nothing that kept us up. Right beside the train station. 5 minutes walk into the centre.

Stayed two nights on the 06/09/2022. Good location for walking into town. We weren't bothered by the trains or road noise. No facilities but free.

Had two nights here, no services as mentioned before but great location to walk into town or to walk to Lidl. Trains didn't bother us much, must be heavy sleepers!

when you arrive at either of the two gates turn left and head to the end away from the railway crossing and the loud bell! only seen one train in two hours and not a problem, sharing a beer or two with a truck driver from Finland, Menin gate and town centre is 15 mins walk through a very nice park, no facilities here but a petrol station is 100 mtrs away,

We stayed one day and one night. Noisy, but as a good camper I always have earplugs and I heard nothing. Otherwise great spot, flat, always enough space, close to town (13min walk to the Flanders Fields museum), next to the train station. Supermarkt (Delhaize), a gas station and a kiosk closeby. There were 3 other campers with us here overnight.

We stayed last night and have come back for another night… great place and lots of space. Close to town centre and Lidl.

Idéal pour visiter. Très proche du centre ville. Par contre la nuit ce ne sont pas les 2 ou 3 trains mais les voitures sur le boulevard

Used as a day stop. clean with decent amount of spots. bright lights from the pitches and a busy road nearby may cause issues for sleeping but we didn't stay the night. no facilities or garbage cans available.

I would find somewhere else. Its very noisy late into the evening and the trains start early. You do feel a little isolated and vulnerable.

Naast de stad. Rechtstreeks of via de mooie ramparts. ook grotere campers. wel lawaaierig. geschikt voor zelfvoorzienend.

Geen voorzieningen, maar gratis. Goed gelegen voor bezoek aan Ieper.

Turned out to be much better than I initially thought. Huge area with plenty of space free no facilities noisy during day very quiet in the night slept well but a train went past at 5.15am then nothing again for a couple of hours or so.

Très bien pour visiter le centre mais absolument pas pour dormir, très bruyant avec la chaussée et le passage à niveau à côté.

Great place to stop for a visit into Ypres/Ieper. We also stayed the night. Right next to train tracks but they were very infrequent, just stay at the opposite end to the entry to avoid being next to the crossing bells.

Stayed here overnight arrived late night/early morning this is quite a large easy to find car park mainly level the trains start early but not really noisy but if you park near the top the crossing is noisy beeping and the road is quite busy from early but still a very good stop over felt safe and would leave van parked while walking into town as cars and coaches arrived in the morning
