Very peaceful sea view. Nice meals at the pub too. Lots of ancient history in the villages and an award winning beach. Toilets nearby and water tap. Mermaid of the North nearby.

Sehr schöner Stellplatz direkt vor dem Restaurant, wir durften kostenlos stehen und übernachten, nachdem wir im Restaurant gegessen haben. Das Essen war exzellent, bestes Essen in Schottland bisher und der Inhaber war sehr freundlich. Vom Stellplatz aus kann man direkt auf das Meer schauen. Die Hauptstraße führt am Stellplatz entlang dort ist aber nicht viel los und stört nicht. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Five stars because of the warm reception from the proprietor, Mike. Car park was full when we arrived, so we parked further down the road and walked back to the pub. Restaurant had closed, but we had a drink and Mike invited us into a group of locals; he was genuinely interested in chatting and said we could park there later. Mike guided us to what was in the area besides the Mermaid of the North.

Pub was excellent. Nice landlord, great food, just ruined by presumably a local who let our tyre down! Definitely not a puncture, it has been checked. Truly a shame for a good pub, but campers beware, locals don't want you there despite being in the pub carpark!

Arrived at 7pm on a Sunday and the pub door was locked even though people inside. Eventually a waitress opened the door and said the kitchen was closed! We asked if we could get a drink at the bar but they wouldn’t let the dog in so we had to sit outside in the cold.

Toller Platz, freundliches Personal und gutes Essen. Lohnt für eine Nacht!

Great quiet place. Buy a meal and park for free. I arrived 10 mins after kitchen closed, but the lovely landlady managed to get me a meal. She also said I could park there with or without a meal. Very nice.

Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful meal, wood burning fire and excellent selection of drinks. Peaceful, level and quiet pitch across the road. Right on the seashore. Showers at the seaboard centre. Next to the “mermaid of the north”. Stunning area to explore Picts and lighthouse.

Parcheggio del pub/albergo in fronte. Noi abbiamo consumato qualche birra la sera. Accoglienza molto calda, lo spot è su strada ma silenzioso e con vista aperta, a sud, non distante, raggiungibile a piedi, si trova una toilette pubblica con rubinetto per acqua potabile, verso nord invece, sempre a breve distanza, si trova una zona per lo scarico acque nere (donazione gradita).

perfect spot, quiet all night. got a takeaway from the Inn. something special about wakening up be the sea.

Fabulous overnight stay.Mike (owner) was a superb host. Food gorgeous very large portion. Water to fill up. Toilet spotless.

Very welcoming in the restaurant, great food and they even filled up my water bottle for me the next morning. Lovely views and a quiet nights sleep. Woke up to the sunshine and beach views in the morning ☺️

Restaurant serves good large portions. Quiet night on the seafront afterwards.

Wonderful place to stay. Locals are very friendly and chatty. You can have a shower in the Seaboard centre for a donation - showers were clean and water was hot. There is also a cafe in the centre which does a good selection of food. The Balintore Inn has a sign saying motorhomes are welcome

Lovely place with some beautiful views, we were lucky enough to stay on a clear still night and heard nothing but birds and gentle waves. The pub will happily let you use their car park for the night in exchange for you buying a meal or a couple of drinks. Not suited to massive RVs but motor homes and campers are welcomed.

Mike, the Inn keeper is very helpful and accommodating. Hard standing parking directly opposite the Inn with the sea to the rear and the mermaid of the North 50mts away. Due to lockdown restrictions we couldn't use the Inn, however next time on our return. Thanks Mike.

Fabulous place to stay. Landlord Mike is very friendly and chatty and actively wants motorhomes to come. Food is excellent with great portion sizes. Only sound through the night was a few waves if you listened hard. Apparently dolphins are often spotted here.

Excellent stay at the Balintore Inn (just east of Tain in the Scottish highlands) happy for us to park our MH up for the night, water and rubbish bins available. The view was stunning, right on the waters edge. The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely, my haddock was some of the best fish I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommended.

Small, near level parking area at the front of the pub almost on the beach,very peaceful, great nights sleep. Very welcoming staff, pub is well kept and clean with good clientele. Very good food. The owner is very friendly, chatty and interesting. Highly recommend.
