We stopped at this pub with our 7m long Motorhome on the way to Dover. Absolutely great place, great foods and very friendly staff. Also have gluten free options. Good prices as well. Parking for the Motorhome was flat as parked by the outside benches, next to the river. We will be coming back, when on our travels. Highly recommend.
Very quiet night spent here on the way home from Dover, despite it being a Friday night. Warm welcome from the staff at the pub and excellent meals served, very good Steak and Ale pie and chips. Interesting walk through Newbold canal tunnel too only 2 mins from the car park. All in all a great stop over.
Stayed here in our rooftop tent. Staff extremely friendly. Food was delicious at a good price (recommend the pie of the day). Lovely setting.
Nice location right at the Oxford canal. Very friendly. Unfortunately we arrived after 8pm on a Tuesday and the kitchen was closed. Only had drinks.
Was für ein ruhiger, wunderbarer Ort. Wir haben direkt am Oxford Kanal stehen können und viele freundliche Boater getroffen. Der Pub The Barley Mow ist ein echtes Original, mit sehr leckerem homemade food und sehr freundlichen Besitzern. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Really beautiful place and staff but car park is majorly on the wonk, can’t sleep on a slant like that sorry!! All the flatter spots were taken by cars, even at midnight they were still there. Maybe next time <3
Seriously people, this is the place to be if you're in the area, or looking for a place to go specifically. You will be literally 15ft from the canal, watching and waving to the boats going by. The pub itself is just amazingly friendly. The beers are good, real ciders are available and the food is amazing. The Sunday roasts especially so. Can't recommend it enough! Enjoy!

Sehr leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen. Richard und sein Team sowie die Gäste alle total nett. Himmlische Ruhe in der Nacht. Näher am Kanal mit Blick auf Narrowboote geht es nicht.

Found a nice level pitch next to the canal and went to the pub to enquire about food later on. They stop serving at 8pm but they said they could prepare something for us later than this. Food was excellent. A bit of noise from the pub at closing time but nothing major. Great walks along the canal in the morning. Thanks to great service from the staff, highly recommended and plan to return.
Good food and level parking in front of the canal. However the noise outside from those drinking in the car park went on well after 1 pm and made sleeping difficult. We heard a baby outside crying for it's mother at 1 am and saw several drinkers and dope smokers drive home. Definitely not a pub to recommend.
Veru helpful and kind welcome from the landlord, who moved cars around so we could have the flattest spot on the carpark, next to the canal. Food was excellent and everyone was very friendly in the pub. Lovely walks in the countryside and along the canal.
fantastic stopover, owners and pub mangers are top geezers . The carpark is big enough for at least ten motorhomes. plus beer is great.
Schöne Lage direkt am Kanal. Wir waren "auf ein Bier" im Pub. Personal und Besucher sehr freundlich. Wir haben hier eine ruhige gute Nacht verbracht.

Lovely stopover off the M6. Super helpful staff and very good food. Ate breakfast watching narrow boats and ducks. Access to the canal towpath to stretch your legs. Really recommend.

Perfect. Watching England playing Wales in the home of Rugby. Good beer. Lovely food. Quiet spot not too far from the NEC. Big car park. Owner has a Motorhome so is sympathetic to our cause of lack of parking. Five stars all day long.
Small car park but perfect for a walk along the canal with the dog. Pub was amazing good home cooked local food and the beer was well kept. Staff where lovely and happy to have us there they have the cutest little dog who came and sat with us for a little bit totally recommend for Med/smaller campers think XL and large campers may find the car park at the back a bit tight.

It is what it is, a pub car park. Friendly reception, cheap and cheerful food. Can walk on the canal in morning. Many thanks to the Barley Mow, we’ll use it again to break the journey from the Lake District to Dover.
what a gem. spot right next to canal lovely to watch the barges and wildlife. Fantastic pub with the most friendly staff, made to feel so welcome. we had a super meal proper pub grub and very reasonable prices. would definitely stay again
Stopped at the carpark by the Barley Barn function room. It was late so pub was shut so can't comment on that. Carpark was relatively flat and pretty quiet.

Top spot with friendly staff and great food. Right on the Canal with a water tap just to the left side of canal foot path for boaters. I used a can to top up from there for free.

Lovely friendly staff. Flattish space for around 3 vans right on canal side. Drinking water tap. They don’t serve food on Sunday evenings but gave us number for great Chinese takeaway who delivered to pub and staff provided plates cutlery etc so could eat in pub!
lovely place to get away to. access straight onto the canal and away into the Countryside. flat tarmac carpark, no restrictions. Pub owners and staff are a lovely bunch of humans! look forward to next time.

Perfect stop off on the way to the Lakes. Pulled up way after closing time, but managed to grab a space right by the canal. Free parking. Away from the road so very quiet. Would stay again
Nice location next to canal. Friendly staff and owners are fanatical motorhomers/ campervaners themselves so appreciate your requirements. Great one night stay on way back from Peak District , will use again. Has pool table too ;)

Stayed one night parked next to the canal. quiet place to spend the night. short walk down the road to a co-op to top up on groceries. friendly staff in the pub dogs made welcome. Lovely stopover.

Nice little car park behind a friendly pub. On a beautiful canal with a nice walking path. We bought two pints and used the facilities. We also had a nice vegan breakfast in the pub in the morning- they were very accommodating. No charge for parking. Free drinking water tap on the canal side. Nice playground in the back that our son enjoyed.

Lovely little spot to break the journey from East Anglia to the Midlands. Surf n Turf was excellent and the kids really enjoyed their shared cod and chips. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. We only stopped for dinner, but the location next to the canal looked like a pleasant place to spend the night.
Stayed for one night in Feb. Staff very welcoming and food great. If it’s peak season or there’s something on at the NEC I would give them a call first.

Nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires absolument charmants. Nous n’avons pas mangé mais nous avons passé un excellent moment au pub. Nuit très calme. Au matin nous avons pu faire le plein d’eau gratuitement au niveau du robinet du canal si vous avez un long tuyau.

Great Britstop. Phoned ahead and they reserved us a spot right by the canal. Was great in October, would be awesome in Summer. Very friendly owners couldn't do enough for us. Definitely 5 stars. .
