PARKING EL RÍO. Private parking area for motorhomes and campers in the heart of nature, next to the Tormes River, 1.9 km from the city of Salamanca, a World Heritage Site. 2 filling and emptying points, 29 parking spaces, 10 of which are electric.

In the heart of Montesinho Natural Park, and 10 minutes away from the city of Bragança, the camping site is located in a mountain highland, filled with chestnut trees, oak trees and cherry trees and in a place recognised as an ancient Roman settlement. The campsite has individual spaces, with abundant shadows, and it provides a bar and restaurant open all year, with delicious traditional meals, homemade soup and pizzas done every day. In permanent exhibition at the bar/restaurant the world´s largest pocketknife with more than 2 meters high, registered int the Guiness World Records Book (original certificate exposed). The campers have full access to barbecue facilities outside. The park also has a traditional wood-fired oven in which bread is baked once a week. It is possible to pick cherries in June and July, and mushrooms in May and June, inside and outside the park. Offering a fantastic landscape and night scenery, the park is also a few minutes away from various signalled trails. Operating since 1993, this is a very quiet and family-friendly park.

Parking, restrooms, toilets, and emptying/filling are free, subject to registration on the website or at the public computer at the entrance. Since the area is new, the trees and gardens need time to provide the necessary shade, but the land is perfectly flat and easily accessible. The facilities are modern and spotlessly clean. There are trash bins 100 meters away, towards the village, to avoid the smells and noise of trucks in the early morning. The village has more than 50 murals on the walls of the village houses, authentic works of art created by renowned artists. Every year at the end of July, the Pollogomez festival is held, which gives the area its name, as it is the town's emblem. The area has 24-hour video surveillance. It has a large adjoining lawn, picnic areas, and a barbecue. This area can be used for meetings and get-togethers, after contacting the town council. There is a bar-restaurant nearby. Recommended for families and travelers seeking tranquility. You can also bring your pets. From here, you can enjoy walks through the rural surroundings and bike paths.
