(LL40 2SP) Dolgellau - A493

A great little stopover for the night. It’s on the old railway line cycle/walking track so it’s an easy/flat 2km East into Dolgellau which is a wonderful village or 2.5km West to the stunning 1870ish wooden toll road bridge and George III pub. Sit outside on a sunny evening. The car park is reasonably busy during the day (which is great if you want to leave your van there) but quiet after 7pm.

Lovely quiet park up. We spent 3 nights here in total. The walk to the pub is really nice and we walked all the way into Barmouth the next day (8 miles!). Then into Dolgellau the next day. Park up was quiet, lots of people coming and going but still peaceful regardless. A couple of other campers each night.

Much quieter than we expected given its close to two A roads - very little road noise. Short cycle along the Maddawch Trail to George 111 pub or into town.

Emplacement calme un peu en retrait de la route. Lieu idéalement situé pour randonner sur le Cader Idris.

Had a nice safe night here. About 4 other campers parked up. Lovely bird noises and a little bit of road noise but all good

Arrived around 3.30am and this was a hidden gem to find. No other vehicles, extremely quiet and tucked away. Very little noise apart from an owl. Traffic noise from around 7am but to be expected as this is just off the main road. Beautiful walk in the morning to wake up with a coffee.

Nice secluded spot. lovely walk to the toll Bridge. traffic at night could be heard,roundabout nearby. The owl in the middle of the night was a complete hoot,lovely sound.

Really good to pass a night and a day, during the day there was people but at the evening we were alone, good sleep and free! Nice walks

Lovely little car park. Was busy with walkers when we arrived but they all left by 6:30. We had 3 other vans camp with us. Good walk right next to it to. Ground is quite level

Good spot, plenty of space for campers, road is quiet, the road sweepers are nearby and leave early but didn’t matter. Would be great for the night but not somewhere to stay more than that due to a sewerage works nearby, it’s fine only a tiny smell but it’s there.

Ruhiger Platz, obwohl die Straße in der Nähe ist. 25 Minuten zu Fuß nach Dolgelau.

great spot. stayed here one night and plenty of space. It is near the main road but couldn't really here traffic noise.

Schöner Platz im Grünen, flach. Auch mit größeren Wohnmobilen anfahrbar. Abends viele Camper, morgens viele Wanderer und Leute mit ihren Hunden. Von daher immer was los. Morgens kommt immer ein LKW von der benachbarten Kläranlage. Aber Luft war gut und wir haben dort zwei ruhige Nächte verbracht.

A nice place to park but with dog walkers and grass cutting from 6am :)

Guter, gerader Parkplatz! Man hört die Straße. Am Morgen wurden wir von jemandem darauf hingewiesen, dass wir nicht dort hätten übernachten dürfen. Schilder sind jedoch keine zu sehen.
