I have slept here a few times without issue. This time however a local drove past sitting on the horn and screaming profanities at me. As a solo female it scared me and I had to leave. Hoping this doesn't happen to anyone else but perhaps important to note

Stayed here for 1 night, nobody else here, perfect. Arrived at 6pm No noise just nature. (There is an airport nearby but only 2 planes took off) just after we got there. Very peaceful night no issues. No services or bins, please leave only footprints.
I'm sure this place is totally fine to stay at but I'd say it's pretty creepy when you arrive in the dark and I didn't have any signal. Not for me - spooksville
A spot to park for overnight for sure between Swinford and Kilkelly (a nice small village - good coffee in Cunnife’s gas station). The small lake looks on to a coillte Sitka-spruce plantation - non-native trees. Very quiet not much wildlife in the middle of Mayo bog lands. A convenient spot but for nature-viewers maybe elsewhere :)

Endroit calme, au bord d’un chemin attention par temps trop pluvieux. Une voiture dans la nuit qui a fait demi tour sinon rien à dire. Magnifique vue sur le lac. Un peu de vent.
Tranquille au bord de l'eau, pas de bruit, seul bémol la propreté des lieux, les gens ne respectent rien car beaucoup de déchets laissés derrière la ruine...
A calm and peaceful night by the lough, marred only by the evidence of fly-tipping. The ground is a little uneven and there is a slope off towards the water. We were woken by the runway noise just before 8am (Sunday morning).
Lots of rubbish around despite all the "no dumping" signs. Try to pick up and pack out as much rubbish as you can (in addition to all of your own, obviously). If this place keeps getting messy it may soon stop overnight camping in the area! Lots of dog walkers and midges in June, but it's a nice area.
petit coin à l'écart de la route très sympa avec le lac à côté, il n'y a rien mais quand on est autonome c'est très bien ! respecter le lieu car il y a des déchets déjà... et pas de poubelles comme souvent en Irlande.
Muy linda vista y fácil acceso, el camino está decente y son solo 150 mts desde que se deja el camino pavimentado. Vale totalmente la pena!!

Lovely place to spend the night wild camping. No services around, but an amazing view of the lake. No signs about any parking restrictions..

La route n'est pas très loin mais pas très passante non plus. Attention avec le Gps google map. Il peut vous faire passer par le mauvais côté. Vous vous retrouvez alors face à une barrière en pleine pampa. A 23h c'est plutôt fun
